“I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

Emma - has a unique talent for making you feel like you are the most important person in the room, even as she was juggling all her tables. “This atmosphere is very cozy, as if you're going to Auntie's house. The staff was so attentive and friendly I felt truly welcome. I tried the mango chicken with sweet sticky rice and it was amazing. “We usually enjoy the drinks, food, and great atmosphere there. However, something seems to have changed with the food.
The burger I got the other day was disastrous. Not only was it not tasty, but it also caused serious stomach discomfort. The patties were paper-thin, overcooked, and basically just two pieces of charcoal.
I don't know what changed, but please bring the good burger back.
Also, to truly enjoy the outdoor space, it would be nice to have some sort of screen or barrier from the road and passing cars.“

“I was planning to go to a different downtown restaurant and walked in to this one as it started raining. The waitress took every effort to ensure our dietary requirements were taken care of. They had quite a few veggie burger options. We picked The Cool Beans, which came with a black bean and corn patty. She was quite transparent with the fact that they used the same fryer and oil for frying meat,veggie appetizers and fries. So, she substituted fries with freshly sliced avocado. The burger itself was thick and juicy. We ordered a PB& Chocolate milkshake that capped out dinner. They went out of the way to limit cross contamination. Will definitely return.“
