“I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

“We called at the last minute hoping to get a table for two, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Elisa, one of the sister owners, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She let us choose between two seating options, personally made sure our table was clean and ready, and checked in throughout the evening to ensure we were enjoying our food and leaving happy and full.

Michelle, our bartender, was friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to talk with. She made sure we always had everything we needed.

The food was outstanding. We ordered the Cioppino and the Pasta Antonietta, and both were exceptional. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was incredible. Every bite was delicious.

“I had the beef with peanut sauce served with white rice, that’s one of my favorite dishes that keeps me coming back and it was absolutely delicious! The beef was tender, the peanut sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, and it paired perfectly with the rice. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked just right. “I was planning to go to a different downtown restaurant and walked in to this one as it started raining. The waitress took every effort to ensure our dietary requirements were taken care of. They had quite a few veggie burger options. We picked The Cool Beans, which came with a black bean and corn patty. She was quite transparent with the fact that they used the same fryer and oil for frying meat,veggie appetizers and fries. So, she substituted fries with freshly sliced avocado. The burger itself was thick and juicy. We ordered a PB& Chocolate milkshake that capped out dinner. They went out of the way to limit cross contamination. Will definitely return.“
