After checking my points, I didn’t have enough to cover it so the manager offered to pay for the sandwich on his own rather than having to go all the way back home to grab my wallet. A great gesture on his part! I took their number and called him with my credit card once I got home.“

“A deli with an extensive menu. The sandwiches are stuffed and delicious. I coild only eat half of my chicken cordon blue. The mushroom soup was fantastic. There's seat yourself seating, and the place was doing nonstop takeout when we were there for lunch. Definitely going back!“

“Have lived in NJ for almost 25 years. This is by far THE BEST pork roll egg and cheese I have had in the state. The way Johnny assembles this sandwich is perfection. Every bite you take from one of his sandwiches literally gets better as you are finishing it. From the fresh rolls, and freshly sliced pork roll to a perfectly cooked egg with just the right amount of cheese and SPK to hold it together. I can literally say as I took a bite from this sandwich my exact words were “WOW”. I’ll be coming at least once a week from Belmar just to get my fix. Keep killing it Johnny this place is awesome!“

“Food was super fresh and healthy. I ordered a sabich sandwich, a house salad and a cappuccino. The sabich was amazing. For the salad I would request the dressing on the side next time because they put on too much dressing (was delicious anyway). I totally appreciated the 1970 decore. Everything was delicious with a homemade touch. I usually leave restaurants feeling sick because the food is so processed but not here, I left feeling amazing :)“

“In the mid-60's my mother would take me for a sub before my braces were tightened. In those days we would have sore teeth for a day or so after. It was fun to take my wife (a southerner) to Elsies so she could taste a real sub. Great memories. Live in FL plan to visit my old neighborhoods in NJ, will stop in. It has been 20 years.“

“Stopped by for lunch. It's cool that they've partnered the sandwich shop with a pizzeria. Lots of great choices. The sandwich list featured around 20 choices that I would try. I selected a sandwich that I first tried in Philly, roast pork, broccoli rabe, and provolone. They had 7 and 14 inch options, 7 was plenty. Great bread with flavorful pork, broccoli rabe and melted cheese. Absolutely delicious. Pizza looked good also, some creative slices, will have to try that next time!“
