“Absolutely phenomenal experience overall! My first impression was when I spoke with Cara, one of the managers on the phone. She was so positive and kind. My server Riley was outstanding! Kind, knowledgeable, respectful, and downright awesome! The selection of wines and Amaros was excellent. The food was so delicious!“
“Delicious ice cream, charming ambiance (moulin rouge-cirque du soleil vibes mixed with a daydream) and a diverse menu that would cater to whatever mood I’m in. Chris was awesome in breaking down all the options and served us up something tasty. Love this place!“
“Flavors were absolutely amazing. My entire family of 3 loved all the different flavors that were available. After our first visit, my son has already petitioned me to only go to this store and no other for ice cream. So now I am expected to drive from NYC to Philly each week for Milk Jawn.“
“These pretzels are so $&@#!% good! They pull them out of the oven and right into a vat of butter making the soft doughy goodness a vessel for butter and dreams. The pretzel dog is knee weakening, too. Can't go to reading terminal without grabbing at least one!“
“LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. Not to mention, their baked goods looked out of this world. We wanted to get so much, but I landed on their passion fruit donut, partly because it was the last one left (so I figured something must be good!) And let me tell you, their dough is different. The donut was dense & fluffy at the same time, and their passion fruit flavor was y-u-m-m-y. I can't wait to go back to try more sandwiches and get some grocery shopping done!“
“The best gelato ever! Authentic Italian gelato and I was told they import them from Italy, so this is definitely a place you should visit if you are in the area. Customer service is always great and the quality of ingredients used is definitely top notch. The only downside is that you will no longer enjoy store bought or any other ice cream.“
“This is our 2nd visit. The 1st visit was with the kiddos and they approve and want to come back. The 2nd time, hubby and I tried the desserts and ice cream. I really like the balakva and hubby said the cheese cake was okay. There is comfortable seating and plenty of parking. Ideal for families, afterschool spot, Friday or weekend spot and even meet up spot for sporting events clubs and schools. We will be back! ✨️“
“Always wanted to try this place and didn’t realize I was walking right past it yesterday.Amazing! The banana mixture is super smooth, the guy was so nice and friendly, and it’s a mom and pop small business- support them for sure!!!Really cool selection of choices that are not the usual run of the mill. Will be back and you should try this place for sure!“
“Never a disappointment. I love the cherry cheesecake with Karma hot topping and my daughter got cookie dough.. Plenty of cookie dough and her Vanilla Ice cream and lots of Graham crackers and cherry and the cheesecake, the prices are great and the sizes are amazing.“
“We came in on a December Thursday night and were the only ones in the store. You're able to sample any flavor you want, which was great. We ended up getting thin mint and a pumpkin, which were both delicious. The sad part about winter is that not many people are coming in for ice cream, so the ice cream itself wasn't as creamy and had some ice chunks. I've come in the summer and thought the ice cream was delicious then. Give it a try if you're in the area!“
“First time checking this place out. The young people that work here provided very good customer service. The soft vanilla ice cream was good as well as the cookie dough hard ice cream and vanilla soft ce cream with sprinkles.I would recommend this place. Another bonus is that this place has a drive through and some parking spaces.“
“THE Best water ice! Super cold, like extra cold! Water bottles super cold, too. That may sound weird, yet, it's true. AND I ordered a small, it was was of COLOSSAL PROPORTION, I was taken by surprise! I've been going here since a kid and they've only improved over the years. Very clean! The counter girl was delightful, smiley, and also very clean. Highly recommend!! Bring your friends!“
“Clean minimal shop with quality matcha products and great ice cream.Strawberry and earl grey swirl are my current go to after dinner in Chinatown, however it is a seasonal flavor so get it while you can. I’ve also had the hojicha float which was refreshing and had a deep roasted nutty flavor with an edge of bitterness. What I enjoy most about this place is the typical Asian compliment when it comes to dessert “not so sweet”.Surreal is quite trendy but I find myself becoming quickly tired of it due to amount, all the toppings, and just the overall sweetness of the ice cream whereas matcha Maiko has the perfect amount of sweetness to remind you it’s a treat but not to the point where halfway through you feel like need water or tea to tone down the sugar“
“First time here! Lots of choices. They go by the size of the cup not scoops. We had salted caramel pretzel and cappuccino crunch. With added caramel topping the 2 came up to $17.50. It was very tasty. Portion wise- good- value for the dollar? It’s a locally owned small business that has been there for decades. I felt the value was there to treat yourself to some homemade ice cream! Sure could have gone to shoprite and got 3 1/2 gallons of ice cream and a bottle of caramel but you know it’s not the same. I would come back. So should you. ?“
“This place is located on South Street. Luckily for me, this place has late night hours (1130pm is late hours for old me). I really find it fascinating how the ice cream is chopped, spread, and scrapped up into a rolled goodness. It is incredibly light and tastes amazing every time I get rolled ice cream from this place. The service was very amazing as well. The cashier was so friendly and gave me a good low down of the flavors available.“
“Absolutely amazing experience! The matcha latte was honestly the best quality I have ever tasted! All the food we ordered wasn't too sweet, and the matcha flavor itself was delicious! I was wary of a matcha overload, but it was perfect. The atmosphere is adorable too, and the matcha was in a cute green cup. I admire how even the ice cream cone wasn't the generic too-sweet cone. My kid brother loved the stuffed animals, and we will definitely come back!! ?“
“Live love Chucks ? best water ice and custard in South Philly, everything is homemade and fresh and the owners are so sweet. Down to earth place, prices are affordable. Personal favorite ices are the black cherry, pina colada, and strawberry lemonade.“
“The ice cream was so good. The banana walnut ice cream was fantastic, and I loved the pistachio heat. I also really liked the blueberry one, but the banana and pistachio stood out. They had one cashier and the cashier was hustling. I feel like she could have used help. She was very friendly though.Limited seating.“
“I've hired Weckerlys several times for catering events and their execution is simply flawless. Not only is their staff friendly and engaging, they have a tremendous product. All of their dairy is sourced locally and they make their ice cream sandwiches from scratch. Great flavor combos! Highly recommend :)“
“I have taken 2 classes here now, about a year or more apart, and both times were incredible! Most recently I went for pasta making and stayed to eat the pasta we made with 2 incredible sauces (bolognese and pesto) made by the Homemade by Bruno team.Jen, our teacher, was incredible! She was very knowledgeable, easy to follow and fun to talk to. She made the whole experience very lovely. She also did an incredible job with the gelato that we got to end our night with.Highly recommend this place!!!“
“This is the best place I ever been in there is rolled ice cream, Boba tea and more. It’s awesome. You should go try it the reason why I need it has five stars because it’s amazing the food is great. The drinks are great everything about it is amazing you should try it. :)“
“This is the ONLY outside/drive up ice cream parlor that I know of that is open year-round, yes I said it - THEY ARE OPEN ALL YEAR LONG!!! This place has exceptional customer service (I have yet to come across an employee with a 'tude.) All the employees are friendly, professional, the service is fast and accurate, the prices are very affordable (they have something for any budget,) the atmosphere is fun n friendly (even the customers strike up conversations with each other.) I left here feeling nostalgic and full! lol Their portions are humongous. This place is a superb idea for a family friendly outing that is quick, affordable, fun, and memorable!Kid-friendliness: Kid and pet friendly“
“I am a local and I visit Jimmy’s very often! Multiple times a week. The service is always fast and friendly. The water ice is some of the best in south Philly and the pizza pretzel is my go to for a quick bite to eat. I highly recommend jimmys water ice!!“
“There's not other way to describe this place except..surreal. The menu boasts boba soft serve combos as well as crazy mixes of soft serve, as well as cake topped with toppings frosting and soft serve in mason jars! Our favorites was the taro boba topped with taro and matcha swirl! The flavors were amazing and the boba was the perfect consistency! The Cookie Monster themed nom nom was perfect for kids (3 kids could share one!) and the chocolate cake mason jar but was 90% soft serve and 10% cake/frosting/fudge/etc. Super friendly and helpful employees. Pricey but worth every penny. Will be back soon!“
“This would be my third time coming to this small ice cream shop .I came in with my two young children after ordering I proceeded to pay with my debit card unfortunately their system was doing and can only accept Venmo or cash I didn’t have any cash, and I do not have Venmo jay (employee ) was so sweet and understanding he gave me the option to come back and pay which not many places would do for lack of trust .. at the end I was able to get my hubby to Venmo the placeI will be back thank you jay !“
“Really love this place. I went there on a sweltering summer day to pick up an order my girlfriend had placed. There was a mixup finding the order (not their fault, I was working with incomplete information) but the staff was friendly and understanding the whole time. When we got it all resolved I was able to pick up what I went there for and got an ice cream sandwich for the road. Really delicious vegan Ice cream and cool folks! Float Dreamery is a great addition to the neighborhood and I'm looking forward to visiting again!“
“If there was a real life Wonka to go to this would be it. Amazing offerings of ice cream and cookies with a twist that works perfectly. I love that this shop is about to have their 1 year anniversary soon. They've earned it. Thank you for an phenomenal experience!!“
“I'm giving this amazing place 4 stars because as amazing as it has been my whole life, I have some issues.I understand as a business, employees reflect your business, a few times I have had weird looks, and I felt slightly uncomfortable about that. Not only that, but they have messed up a few items in the past, and it has upset a couple of family members, because you want a treat the same as me, and then you open it up and find out it's not what you ordered.Another issue I have, the staff has had some nasty remarks or comments, some under the breath murmurs, or any quips as they turn their head away, thinking you won't hear them.I stay quiet, because typically when I am there, there is a big line, and I don't want the attention, but that is frustrating.Everyone who complains about it being cash only needs to grow up and carry some paper with them. Big deal you need to have a 20 dollar bill to get the family some frozen treats. But, the positives. This place has been around for so long, I don't even want to think about the history it holds.Overall the staff is nice, sweet, helpful, and overall keeps a smile on their faces even during rush/booming hours. The service is quick, they are good with money, and I haven't had any dealbreaking troubles there.Bad workers come and go, but the Custard Stands.(See what I did there? ?)Anyway, bring a 20, get yourself something delectable, and maybe a cone for your kid too.P.S, it's New Jersey, they are Jimmies. Not sprinkles.“
“NO, there's no gelato here. Nice place, but drove all the way into center city only to be told by the employee that they did not gelato... only ice cream. I saw a few reviews about gelato... that's not the case at this creamery. Only ice cream.“
“This place is outstanding, there is no other way to put it. The water ice is without a doubt the best around. My favorite is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, it’s a must-try. The manager, Rachel, is as nice and helpful as it gets. She’s hilarious and always puts a smile on the customers faces. Getting Diane’s is always a treat and it’s always clean and great value. Thank you Diane’s! THANK YOU Rachel!“
“I can’t say enough good things about this place. It definitely holds true to it’s historic roots and has such amazing ice cream and creative topping flavors. They are owned by the same family as Shane‘s confectionery next-door which I also recommend. They have some overlapping product/menu options that are definitely worth experiencing.“
“Absolutely loved it! The pastries are fresh every day (we asked & were told that after the end of the day the pastries have to be taken to the main location cross the street & every morning have to be restocked). Coffee is La Colombe. My favorite so far is red velvet cake & cranberry scones. I see some regulars coming in for ice-cream/milkshakes. The staff is the sweetest & most accommodating.“
“So good! The young ladies who took our orders and made our ice cream were so patient and nice, on 3/19/23 around 7:30pm (didn’t get their names lol) It was our first time at Cabana. I got a sweetish fish gelati and my boyfriend got a strawberry lemonade water ice. So good and not too sweet! We will be back again :D“
“Thanks to their Princeton location, I'm pretty familiar with the Yapple franchise, but now that one has opened up a lot closer to me, this has quickly become my favorite go-to froyo spot. But what sets this place apart is its unique and refreshing selection of flavors. It's a welcome departure from the overly sweet options at other frozen yogurt spots. Plus, the store is clean, well-lit, and spacious, creating a comfortable environment whether you want to enjoy your treat indoors or bask in the charming ambiance of Haddonfield outdoors.Speaking of Haddonfield, it's a picturesque town that blends the charm of a smaller-sized Princeton with a subtle beach town chill vibe. Parking can be tricky on the main street, but the good news is that plenty of side streets are easier to access. Parking is free after 6pm and on Saturdays and Sundays on those side streets.Sunday evening is my sweet spot when foot traffic winds down, and the dimly lit walkways create a cozy atmosphere. It's an ideal date spot, especially if you've just dined at one of the many restaurants within walking distance around the corner.Regarding flavors... the jasmine green tea stands out with just the right balance of subtle sweetness and that delicate jasmine undertone. However, be mindful if you're sensitive to caffeine, as it's made with real green tea powder. I adore mixing the mint with vanilla for a perfect harmony of sweetness and freshness. The sweetness level across most of their flavors is spot on, and the fresh toppings bar is packed with plenty of options to customize your creation. For the value-conscious, two average-sized cups of froyo usually cost about $12-13. Be sure to ask for a frequent shopper card to earn rewards on your purchases.“
“Would have given 5 stars if the place was open until 10pm. I showed up at 9:39pm n they were closed. They normally are open on the weekends and MABY one day during the week! Besides inaccurate hours of operation, the service is superb, ice cream is amazing and not over priced and the waits never too long !! Highly recommend this spot for the great quality and quantity of the products!! Just make sure u call before the drive over, most times they r closed..“
“Best Puddin & Best Service. These ladies always help me out, always greet me and always fulfill my last minute orders. I think people are very dramatic reading these reviews and expect way to much from a small business who is still going through the growing pains of finding good help!you ladies are great. keep being great and providing greatness.“
“Warm peach cobbler with banana pudding ice cream was amazing! Will definitely be back. Only reason why 4 stars is because it says it opens at 12, but no one was there, it was like 12:15 when someone came to open. I almost left but I'm glad I didn't.“
“My buddy told me about this place. I was in the area so figured I’d stop in.It’s a very tiny storefront, however it’s not out of the ordinary for places like this, especially in the city on a Main Street to be much bigger if at all. It has all that you need. I believe it had a wooden bench in there to sit and eat at. As well as 2 or 3 Bar-top kind of tables. Seating capacity is probably 8-10 at most.I can’t speak for anyone but one could only assume that most people are To-go’ing instead of dining in. However, it’s definitely an option. I sure did. I like the small quaint atmosphere. I enjoyed looking at the pictures on the wall, checking out the ice cream/milkshake flavors.Very unique place.Has your average milkshake flavored options, but also has some that you wouldn’t find in many other places. #supportsmallbusinesses“
“Delicious ice cream! Lots of flavors, including seasonal flavors and a few sherbets. You can get scoops (the stiffer type of ice cream) or soft ice cream, on a cone or in a cup, and there are also lots of toppings to choose from. My favorite is the mint chocolate chip!“
“Found this little place while visiting an in-law, and I can't wait to come back! It was a very homey vibe...cute & comfy. There were two employees behind the counter (one appeared to be new, but awesome) who were HUSTLING to manage the rush that arrived just after my husband and I ordered. They remained patient, communicative, efficient and avoided cross contamination, which means a lot to me. I watched them consistently change gloves between handling different orders, even while preparing 8 different tickets. That alone was enough to sell me on this place. Now, our orders... I had the avocado toast with egg & tomato. It wasn't the best, but it was reasonably priced, and well prepared. My husband had the cinnamon bun waffles... he's a sweets lover, and he was very happy that the waffle wasn't overly crispy. The icing on top was the perfect touch. He also had an iced matcha latte, which was (surprisingly) blended. He loved it! If it wasn't for the rush of customers, he would've gotten another one to take home. I had an iced dirty chai latte--it was the perfect mix of spiced chai and bold coffee. Maybe one of the best that I've tasted.“
“I just moved here from NC last weekend, and everywhere that I have been, people have been rude! I came here to get ice cream the other day it was warm outside. The Hispanic lady that I encountered was no nice, customer service was just amazing!!!! I just wanted to hug her lol because it definitely gave me hope that I won’t encounter rude people everywhere I go in Philly. The ice cream was delicious as well. Thank you!!“
“Many people have "must visit" places in the Reading Terminal Market. For us, it's Bassett's Ice Cream! It really is the best ice cream anywhere but serve it in the Market, with the greatest staff and this why we stop any time of year! Today, it was low 20s outside, did we care, NO, we had to have our Bassett's!“
“We love supporting small businesses! This small corner store located in the Italian Market is a great place to stop by for dessert. There is also a dessert spot across the street. I'll need to do a comparison on which is better soon!I had to crop the picture so I had something to write a review about lol. We got Guava with cream ice cream and this was very light! Probably around $3 for a small. We also got Mango Loco ($8), which seems to be a popular dessert. I only recommend this if you like sour foods. This is my terrible way of describing it: The mango is cut up, but it seems to be a sour mango. There are pieces of candy peanut, and sour gummies(?)/candy in it. The thing sticking out is a straw covered with a sour candy. The entire thing is drenched in Chamoy, Tajin, and Valentina (i think). The store also sells fruit, strawberries and cream, fresh potato chips, fry-ums (?), pina colada, shortbet, smoothies, candy, and so much more!I've been to Mexico City and the store felt like I was back in Mexico. The ladies who work there are also sweet!“
“Pops Water Ice in South Philly is the epitome of a true Philly experience. This iconic establishment perfectly captures the essence of the city with its delectable water ice, a local delicacy that has been cherished for generations. Whether you're savoring their refreshing, mouthwatering flavors on a hot summer day or relishing their tradition-filled ice treats throughout the year, Pops Water Ice embodies the genuine, down-to-earth spirit of Philadelphia, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists looking to indulge in an authentic Philly tradition.“
“You have to love It...!!! Rolled Ice Cream...!!! Fresh and Yummy...!!! How about Yummy Rolled Ice Cream in China Town during The Chinese New Year Celebration. The parade and fire crackers were directly outside. It was great, but I'm getting off track here... This place Rocks...!!! Very good and affordable. A little small but really nice. If you have not been to one of these places... They make the ice cream in front of you and it is really good. I thought this was extra cool about the staff. At the time we were there, it was really busy. Standing room only. It was packed and the guy who took my order remembered me, what I ordered and brought it to me. Great Service...!!!“
“Truly delicious cookies- most are crispy on the outside and a bit soft on the inside. The service is fast and friendly- using the app makes it even more streamlined. The pretty pink packaging makes for the cutest gift and they are a crown pleaser!“
“The staff is always so friendly. Even when there are long lines they are fast and get you in and out. You can tell the people who work there are local because everyone seems to know everyone. It’s cute and has some chairs and tables on the side of the building.“
“This place gets BUSY but the staff works incredibly hard and fast! The ice cream is light with a wide array of interesting flavors. Hard scoop type, no softserve/custards. They make their own waffle cones which always smell incredible-- sweet, vanilla-rich, and toasty. If you're newer to Jeni's, go when there isn't a crazy line to taste a couple flavors. It holds up the line like crazy when a party of people want to try every flavor and the rest of the line is spilling onto the street lol.Vegetarian options: Large selection of dairy based ice creams and some non-dairy!Dietary restrictions: notify staff if you have dietary restrictions! The scoops mostly share the same cleaning station.Parking: super limited street parking. Nearby paid garages and lots.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly ice creamWheelchair accessibility: It's a somewhat narrow location!“
“I recently visited Bagelati for the first time. I ordered a bagel tray online for an event. The tray was ready at pickup time and everyone had nothing but great things to say about the taste and freshness. The cream cheeses were also delicious. I got regular, garlic herb, and vegetable varieties. I do wish there was an everything bagel gluten free option, as I have a gluten sensitivity, but what they do, they do it right!“
“I love Sonic???but since the only restaurant that was in aramingo Ave in Philadelphiaclose down due to the Riot, loitering and just thiefs they close it down ☹️they even took the deep fryers men???now i gotta go all the way to willow Grove?“
