“First time dining at Cafe Loren. It did not disappoint. We started out with Caesar salad, which was very good. My entree was the “BLT”. Lobster, crab & bacon over pasta. It was delicious. I think it was the best entree I've had so far this summer.“

There was a private event of 100 upstairs, sports on every TV and Quizzo game going on downstairs, plus regular dinner seating. The staff was unable to keep up with the crush even with the owner contributing at every position. We had to ask several times for missing courses, but they ultimately did deliver. Once received the food was good.“

“We went for breakfast after hearing from my dad how amazing the food is and he wasn’t lying. Everything was delicious, if you like a little spice I highly recommend the fire feta avocado toast. Everything we got tasted amazing. The staff were so attentive and super friendly. The owners/staff came out and talked to each table and they know their regular customers by name. If you are looking for someplace new to eat…definitely check them out, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Thought I would try an upscale dish (since they were offering it) to see how a Boardwalk Restauranteur would perform. I ordered the Shrimp Pasta with Marinara. Needless to say, I was "Stunned"! This is a favorite dish of mine and I usually reserve ordering it to finer esoteric Bistros and Trattorias I frequent. Yes, I dare say it, BOLDLY that the Chef Olympic Flame not only went "toe to toe" with the finer eateries I am familiar with but actually bettered the lot of 'em!! After this most satisfying experience, I was desperate to meet the Chef behind this most Perfect Pasta dish. The waitstaff directed me to the Chef, who was extremely appreciative when I explained the aforementioned to him. Anyone out there visiting the Jersey Shore and wants to have a truly "Unique" dining experience, I strongly recommend ordering the Shrimp Pasta (or any Pasta Course) "The" Olympic Flame Restaurant. You Will Not Be Disappointed!!“

Joanna (the hostess) and Susan, our server, were both lovely and kind.They had no bitters = no old fashioneds.“

“We happened upon this establishment on Thursday as we were leaving WW. I must say that Ric's has some new customers from PA. We will definitely be shopping here again. The Deviled Crab is phenomenal, the chicken parm linguini melted in your mouth and the butterfly shrimp 🍤 is amazing. We brought home 2lb. of cleaned and seasoned xl shrimp that were gone before noon on Friday. The young man working the front was respectful and helpful. We ordered takeout due to the seagulls swarming the place but there is limited outdoor seating.“

“My husband and I arrived on time for our dinner reservation . We were seated at a table for two in front of the fireplace . We were immediately served water but had to wait to order a drink. After some questioning , some of which our server was unable to answer , we placed our order . Salad and soup were delivered to the table but no soup spoon. It took several minutes to get someone's attention to bring a spoon. Our server was not aware of the situation and unable to be contacted . The spoon was provided by a very nice young man who served water. The salad and soup were fine however long before we were finished, our entrees were delivered to the table . After a discussion that we were not finished our starters, the entrees were taken away . When they were brought back to the table mine was only lukewarm . It was doubtful they were replated as promised . I had to ask for a second drink . Only half of one entree was eaten . We were offered dessert but declined . By this point in the dining experience I was completely frustrated . In addition to the above issues, a very noisy party was seated near us that made it impossible for us to enjoy our dining experience . Their language and their volume made it very unpleasant . I did ask to speak to a manager as we left the restaurant . I shared the information in this review however I got little else but a thank you . Our water service and food delivery service provider were pleasant young men , caught in a case of bad timing from beginning to end .“

“Tried the Jake's famous pork sandwich.
Asked the lady behind the counter if it was sharp provolone and she said it was but once I tried it, it was not sharp at all. Ok no big deal but took a star from the service.
The pork is good but slightly over chopped, The broccoli rabbe was just balanced but not sauteed.
Nonetheless, the sandwich was tasty.“

“My family and I stayed at the Reeds this past weekend, and we had the most wonderful kick-off to a great weekend at the Water Star Grille. We decided to sit at the bar and grab a drink while other family members arrived from their long drives, and we had the absolute best service from our bartender, Kristen. Kristen's positivity and enthusiasm really stood out, and her fabulous bartending skills were evident in the delicious drinks she made for us. We recommend the Saxtini and the Strawberry Lemonade Martini! We were initially unsure about which appetizer to order because of a shellfish allergy in the family, but Kristen had helpful suggestions that steered us in the direction of a very delicious order of nachos with lobster on the side. We highly recommend pre-dinner drinks and appetizers at the Water Star Grille's bar area, and be sure to ask for Kristen!“
