The little let down probably the environment because it’s a small place but still don’t get bothered because the sushi is really good ??Update : Just visiting the place and there’s definitely not disappointed. Where i was think it’s just my luck that i got good food but i was wrong it’s was the same as before good, great and enjoyable it was the best sushi so far that i have taste it. But the down side is the sashimi selection where u must add $$ to have it. But so far this is the #1 Sushi AYCE on my list. ? ”

“We had little jalapeños for takeout so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but the food was pretty good! Definitely better than your standard Mexican restaurant, but the chicken was a little dry (we had the chicken chimichanga and a chicken wet burrito... Also guac and chips) in my opinion the guac and chips was overpriced for what you got, but the rest was fair. I'll probably get it again”

“Their pricing is becoming out of control. Every franchise you go to is busy. With the amount of business they do with basically high school and college students working at minimum wage, no need to gouge people. Also no televisions for viewing or not even any music playing.”

I went there w/my out of town cuz and ate in and watched a good show there where we enjoyed our supper, my cuz had the chicken parm and I had the chicken Ceasar salad plus some chicken wings which were all very tasty. “We came here during restaurant week, and the servings are just enough for each member of the group to try. This restaurant serves great food that makes you want to appreciate every bite. Sampan is linked, and this location is typically busy. Since the dining room was downstairs, there was a kind of nice corridor leading to it. You and your group can choose from a small variety of dishes to share at the table during restaurant week, with some items having an additional fee. There was a stronger romantic vibe. Here, the Kobe beef is a great choice.”

Many of the dishes have kept me up at night from the french toast to the cheesesteak and the jackfruit medianoche.Chef Mark has always been hospitable and attentive, and you can tell how much passion he has for his plates and his community. “I've been here a few times, it's a fun place to bring people because of the whole speakeasy vibe. They don't take reservations so it's hit or miss if you can actually get in. Drinks are hit or miss for me too. Over time I've done drinks from the menu and the bartenders choice. I know it sounds silly but I really dislike the ice they use! It's like ice chips which cheapens the drinks, which seems to go against the suave swanky vibe. I got the pickle mule this time though and really liked it.”

“Having grown up with Texas breakfast tacos I was excited to see a spot in Philly to create what I was missing from home. Bfast taco was good, flavor was def there. A bit on the pricier end for a breakfast taco, even with a homemade tortilla. Was hoping all salsas were given out as well, tried the guaijlo , had good flavor. Not sure if I’ll be a reg just because they’re pricey. But I do appreciate what they are bringing to Philly.”

“Pretty good experience! There was a little bit of a mix up with what we ordered but they instantly took care of it and got us the rest of our food. Some of the food was hit or miss. The broll, Bloc party, Hijiki, and e I shumai was great but I didn't really like the chashu because it was a bit gummy and the wings were not my favorite. But other than that, it was all great. I will definitely come back soon to try more things :)”

“Very small intimate space with the open kitchen directly on the floor. Had an incredible experience here! The staff was super friendly and bantered with us all night. The stand out to me was the scallop toast, it practically melts in your mouth. Though everything we had was excellent flavor and presentation wise. I will absolutely be back!”

Additionally, my chicken parm did not come with a side of pasta, which is fine, but I didn’t know that and I wasn’t even asked if I’d like to add it for an additional fee. “This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing.
