“I got takeout recently and it's pretty good! I definitely recommend the chicken with broccoli or sesame chicken if you're looking for some classic American Chinese food. To go a bit more authentic, I would one hundred percent suggest the sliced fish in a chili sauce. Not as much veggies that I would like but the hot chili sauce is delicious and portions are fantastic. I also really like bamboo shoots so I get that with shredded pork. Now for my standard comments. There's not too much space to eat in or too many employees, not like they used to have. Service is not bad. Takeout is pretty quick if you call ahead or order online.“

“For a Wednesday night the place is almost filled. There was a mixture of tables with large parties and smaller ones of couples. Everyone seems to be returning customers which is a good sign. The five dishes we ordered were well prepared with appetizing taste. While their American menu seem to cover frequently ordered western fare, most of their Chinese dishes are listed separatly and only presented in the Chinese language. Our estimation is that everyone in the restaurant ordered from the traditional Chinese menu instead the one you are handed. “The store environment is clean and tidy, and dining is comfortable. The service attitude is highly praised and thoughtful, and the dishes are rich in taste and delicious, satisfying the needs of many people. The dishes are fresh, the taste is excellent and so on.“

I was in their establishment for maybe an hour and I witnessed at least 20 people come in to pick up take out orders. In my opinion, that speaks on the quality of food. The fried pork dumplings are flavorful, the pork egg roll is as big as the plate it's served on. The pepper steak was tender and sauced well with a ton of peppers and onions. The rice was good and fluffy. The service was good, even though there appears to be one server for the 4 tables that were seated. I wish they would have spread out the tables a little bit because we were seated right in the middle and it was a little noisy. The ice cold water was good and always refilled without asking. It was an hour drive but in my opinion, it was well worth it and delicious. I would take the adventure again to try something new. “Have eaten here twice now and both times the food and service were excellent. Portions are generous and the food cooked perfectly. Menu has an extensive and includes all the basic Chinese food dishes, plus many special ones too. Highly recommend.“

“First time here and brought 20 of my closest family members for Saturday dim sum. We had a really good experience overall. The food, the service and the family friendly atmosphere was great! My family and I have been eating dim sum for many decades and all agreed that Green Lake has dishes we've never had before. The aunties made sure to drop by every couple of minutes to ensure we had everything that we wanted while the waiters made sure our tea pots were always refilled.“

“We love ordering from Ocean Garden and do it weekly when our daughter takes dance class. The owners are super friendly, and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The price too is super reasonable, hands down our fav Chinese takeout spot in NJ. It’s authentic too, I am Chinese myself and I appreciate the effort they put into the food. We especially love the boneless spare ribs, dumplings, and the chow fun, the kids prefer this place than anywhere else we order. Support your local business!!“

“We tried the China Wok for take out yesterday - the lady that answers the phone is quite helpful and pleasant and repeats your order back to you. There were 3 chefs cooking when I picked up the order. We got egg drop soup, crab meat fried rice WHICH WAS EXCELLENT and the shrimp egg foo young (3 patties with white rice and brown gravy). Also delicious! We will be returning ... I want to try their dumplings next and sweet and sour dish! I am so used to the amazing Chinese food in the Jersey City area and none of the closer restaurants to me had half fried chicken with Pork fried rice they all only had chicken wings. I called ahead and when I arrived my food was ready to go and I really enjoyed the food when I got home. My wife enjoyed her sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice and egg roll combo. “Hard time finding "excellent" Chinese food. This was good, solid but nothing that screams come back here. Ordered (2) spring rolls not realizing there were (3) spring rolls in each order. This is quite a bargain. They were good, but needed to be crispier wrapper. Had that been the case they would have been excellent. Ordered the broccoli with garlic sauce and an order of beef with snow peas. The broccoli was not what I expected. I actually expected just broccoli with a nice garlic sauce but this had mushrooms, peppers and carrots. This could be a hunan thing so no points knocked off for that but I would ask for broccoli only on the next to go order. The beef was for my husband and he seemed to like it. Overall, it's decent. As others have noted, the interior does not encourage dining in but it is likely that this is a business that caters to take out.“

“I've been eating at Chinese food restaurants my whole life, I've lived in three different cities in New jersey, this is by far the best it's a husband and wife team they cook very clean they take pride in their food and best of all they serve good portions. Ask for the shrimp and broccoli and tell them to put Hunan spicy sauce on it, it's the best. I recommend telling them to undercook the broccoli so it's crunchie.. owners are amazing, great service and really care. After at least a hundred times of eating and taking out from here, I've decided to put in a review. This is ever go to almost every Friday night the kids love it.“
