“I recently visited Shashlik House in Downtown Brooklyn, and it was a fantastic experience! This place is known for its authentic Uzbekistani food, and it did not disappoint. I had the Samsa, Lamb Tenderloin, Tandir Bread, Lula Kebab, and Tarhun, and every dish was bursting with rich, flavorful spices. The lamb tenderloin was especially tender and juicy, and the warm Tandir bread was perfect for pairing with the skewers.
The staff were very courteous and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere was vibrant with great music that added to the overall experience. If you’re looking to try some authentic Uzbekistani cuisine, Shashlik House is definitely the place to go. I’ll definitely be back soon!“

“All the dishes were fantastic, but my favorite was the tandoori lamb kebab, it was absolutely delicious. The exterior was perfectly crispy, yet the meat remained tender and juicy. If you love lamb, you definitely need to try it. I ate an entire pound on my own. The guyru laghman was also great, with rich and flavorful seasoning. While the other dishes might not have been as remarkable, they were still well above average. The only thing that didn’t suit my taste was their dessert. The dessert was overly sweet, almost excessively so, though that might be their signature style. As for the service, it seems like only their daughter speaks English, but her voice is quite soft, and it feels like she’s contributing to the family business out of obligation. However, this doesn’t affect anything, I’d still go back again.“

“The best chicken and rice in NYC! Forget everything else this if your looking for some delicious food, great service this is the place to be. The naans are cooked fresh to order by a Naan specialist who is a master at the craft and all the food is made with such passion it truly shows. I would highly recommend this spot. Go now before they get too popular!!“

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. -------------------------------------------------“

“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. A HuGE plus you have the Richard Tucker (google him) Park right across the street for seating. Linda“

“Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“

“Great food! I am a fan of the chicken kebab which hits the spot every time. Price is reasonable and the place is chill. The juice bar is something you should try. I know there are places like Zara and other halal food places but this one is legit.“

Finally, we have a Mediterranean place close to home. You have to come try this place and by the way they have an outdoor in the back where you can have hookah for those who are interested.“

“i was passing by the area and looking for a quick filling lunch, very pleasantly surprised by how yummy their chicken doner sandwich was. You MUSTT get their homemade bread, it’s so soft yet a little toasted on the outside. The cabbage and pickles were so refreshing, a nice balance to the savory chicken. It was also GIGANTIC. You will not leave hungry for sure. There is a modest seating area in there as well, in case you need to rest a little before continuing going wherever.“

“When it comes to plant-based dining, finding a truly memorable meal can be like searching for a rare gem. But let me tell you, Kotti Berliner Doner Kebab has managed to deliver an experience that I won’t soon forget.
Let’s start with the vegan wrap—though, to be honest, it felt more like a perfectly constructed sandwich. This birthday gift from a thoughtful friend had me stepping out of my usual no-tofu zone. And wow, what an exception it turned out to be. The tofu wasn’t just there for the ride; it was marinated to perfection, blending seamlessly with the veggie mix.
Now, let’s talk bread. A crisp sesame riddled exterior gave way to a soft, pillowy bite, striking that elusive balance between texture and flavor. Each topping brought its A-game, adding layers of crunch, tang, and brightness that danced in harmony with every bite.
And then there was the special vegan sauce—the kind of condiment that elevates a meal from good to unforgettable. It was creamy, tangy, and herbaceous, tying everything together like a symphony of flavor.
The experience was made even better by the cook. Their patience, friendliness, and genuine care shone through in every element of the meal. It wasn’t just food; it was a crafted experience that left me eager to return.
Kotti Berliner Doner Kebab isn’t just serving vegan food—they’re setting the standard for how satisfying, flavorful, and downright exciting plant-based dining can be. If you’re even remotely curious about vegan fare, or just crave a culinary adventure, this is the place to go. Trust me, one bite and you’ll be planning your next visit.

“I recently dined at this restaurant, and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations! The shashlik is simply the best – perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, with a mouth-watering smoky flavor. The salads are fresh and full of vibrant ingredients, and the soups are warm and comforting, truly homemade quality. Don't miss the samosas either – crispy on the outside and packed with delicious fillings. Beyond the food, the ambiance is wonderful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!“

“Went late at night and they didn’t have any shawarma so I got chicken Kabab sandwich in pita it was really good. Rotisserie was okay nothing special. Kibbeh was very good. Only bad thing was their sauce. Did not like it at all, I asked for toum he said that was it but it wasn’t. Just want pure toum straight up garlic goes great with anything. Overall not a bad experience wish I got to try more stuff. PLEASE MAKE GOOD TOUM !!!“

“Very good food, vibe, and staff. My friend and I shared some amazing lamb kebab and beitenjan. The eggplant in the beitenjan was a bit softer than I prefer, and the dish was very sweet. Even still, it was delicious! The lamb was amazing, too. The limonana was perfect. We dined on the deck upstairs under some charming string lights which created a very cute and intimate atmosphere. The staff was so friendly, too! I look forward to coming back to try more dishes.“

“Great place with the best roasted chicken or grilled salmon, made to order. You pick out your choice of already cleaned & seasoned giant sized Salmon steaks & they cook it on the flame grill, fresh & delicious. The sides are tasty too, rice pilaf & black eyed peas & garden salad. The best Mediterranean cooked dishes around!!“

“Listen. The food was exquisite (Pide mix). Very few employees are as professional and respectful as the 2 employees there. My wife and I had an extended conversation with the young man, Vince. I was quite delighted with our discussion. He conveyed his deep commitment, understanding, and methodical work ethic relating to food handling and safety practices.
Having a background in medical sciences, it was refreshing to see young men taking their work with passion.
Too many restaurants nowadays have this nonchalant, lackluster approach to food health and safety practices, resulting in us consumers paying the food poisoning bill with our health. This place is different, and Bayonne is all the better for it.
Thank you for your examplary service and your commitment to making fresh food every day.
I also want to thank the owner for encouraging a deep culture of safety first. In a twist of fate, the owner happens to be one of my neighbours on the same street, but I haven't gotten the chance to meet them yet.
Keep up the good work.“
