“Glad to see Uzbekistani cuisine on Ave I. The restaurant has a surprisingly large dining area with private rooms available, which is a nice touch.
The food was good overall. Their kebabs were solid, and I especially enjoyed the lula kebab. Prices are on the higher side 💰$$, but worth trying if you're in the mood for this style of cuisine.

“Wow so so good. I wish I took a photo. I got the stir fry noodles but am excited to try more. Way better than a lot of other noodle options near by. I love the relaxed, hands off approach Asian restaurants have unlike that review from Jeff below.“

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. -------------------------------------------------“

“I’m a busy working mom and order from Wonder meals for my family 2-3 times a week at least. I like the variety of choices they offer. We particularly like their salads, Mexican food, a chicken sandwich and poke bowls. Most of the meals are very tasty, fresh and good value for the money. We also take advantage of the ability to order from other restaurants through the wonder platform. I particularly like their customer service because it is super responsive and accommodating if there are any mistakes in the order. I’m really happy that we have a wonder restaurant in our community.“

“My experience at Red Sea Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was impressed by the restaurant’s warm and welcoming atmosphere. The entire place is impeccably clean, well-organized, and clearly managed with a high level of professionalism.
The food was the true highlight of my visit. Every dish was freshly prepared, full of bold and authentic flavors, and presented with great attention to detail. You can immediately tell that the ingredients are top-quality and that the chefs take real pride in their work. It’s rare to find a place that delivers this level of consistency, flavor, and freshness in every bite.
The service was equally outstanding. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Their dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the team here goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel valued and well taken care of.
Red Sea Restaurant exceeded my expectations on every level — food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience. This is the kind of restaurant you can confidently recommend to family, friends, and anyone who appreciates excellent dining. It absolutely deserves a full five stars, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.“

“I went to Brooklyn Kababa, a Yemeni restaurant, and I absolutely love their food. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The portions were generous, the meat was tender, and the spices were on point. The atmosphere felt welcoming and comforting, like real home-style Yemeni cooking. This is definitely one of my go-to spots when I’m craving something hearty and delicious. Highly recommend!“

“BEST INDIAN FOOD I EVER HAD. Wish I was closer to Hoboken so I can come here more often.
This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu is a perfect balance of traditional flavors and modern twists — every dish we tried was bursting with freshness and expertly spiced.
The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks were crafted beautifully, complementing the food perfectly.
Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner, a night out with friends, or a special celebration, Empyrean delivers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary flair!“

“If you’re looking for some of the best Middle Eastern food in Newark, Kebab House is a must-visit.
The shawarma is outstanding—tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly every time. Whether in a wrap or on a platter, it’s packed with flavor and always fresh. The kebabs are juicy and grilled just right, making every bite satisfying.
Their hummus is smooth, creamy, and full of authentic taste—perfectly paired with warm pita. You can really tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients.
The ambience is warm and welcoming, with a clean, comfortable setup that makes it great for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. The staff is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall experience.
Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and the food is consistently excellent.
Highly recommended if you’re craving delicious kebabs, shawarma, and hummus in Newark. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🌯🔥“

“Ayat is a GEM. Food is top notch and portions are super generous. Their hummus and Muhammarah is divine. My guilty pleasure is the Pizzawarma which is definitely a shareable item. They are BYOB so go to Sahaadis wine shop inside IC and grab a Palestinian wine for a perfect pairing.“

“O.M.G. The food was AMAZING!! This was my first time ordering from this place, I ordered the Chicken shawarma wrap from here with my cousin and it was absolutely delicious! They give a very good portion for one shawarma wrap, unlike other places I've been to where they've overcharged for much smaller portions. The pickles on the wrap added a nice crunch and the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and not bland or dry at all. It was absolutely perfect, 10/10, would order again!! 🩷“

“Absolutely Incredible Experience! “I cannot recommend Alkofeia highly enough! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The authentic Palestinian flavors were absolutely unforgettable — every dish was vibrant, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh homemade pita, the perfectly spiced lamb ouzi, and the shawarma platter were all standout dishes. The portions were generous, the service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere just added to the whole experience. The attention to detail, from the olive oil appetizer to the dessert, showed how much care goes into every plate. This is hands-down one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants we’ve ever visited, and we’ll be back again and again! Highly recommend to anyone who loves real, heartfelt cuisine.” ❤️“
