“My friend Cristina, who had been raving about this place for a long time, treated us to my husband’s birthday brunch here, and she was not wrong. What a gem! The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the place was very clean with a nice atmosphere. It’s also BYOB, which makes it even better. Such a great addition to the community. “My wife and I stopped by without knowing much about it. What a great experience! The pasties, sweet and savory, are superb. We both had macha, which was expertly made. “Wonderful peaceful atmosphere. Comfy seating with nooks to plug in and work. Locally authored books in the shelves. The chai has a perfect balance of herbs and spices and is not too sweet. Also had an amazing empanada and a freshly baked-on-premises cookie. Love the local focus of this cafe. Will come back again to try the fresh leaf teas and the other empanadas.“

“Looooved the atmosphere at this cute Puerto Rican owned cafe. The coquito latte?! AMAZING. My friend got the avocado toast and I got the breakfast sandwich on Mexican bread. 9/10! The only downfall was that people were comfortably seated and no one was really policing the tables, but my friend and I finally got a seat and were able to enjoy the experience a little better.“

“I tried the expresso once in August of this year. It was smooth, bitter, very rich, essentially a perfect hot temperature, and it really was the essence of American Expresso ( meaning it's not Italian ) It was a unique experience, though I am not a regular expresso drinker ( recently was having Indian chai while living in India) I would very much recommend everyone interested to purchase this drink, give it a try, and enjoy the entire experience with your loved ones.“

I don't go anywhere else from the comfortable seating and the nicely cooled lounge and a place outside if you're a smoker. Wide assortment of coffees and teas and adults beverages. “The food was delectably delicious, the prime cut the best I've ever tasted, the crab cake one of the best. The cheese cake was light as it should be. Be aware, there is no handicapped access, no way of getting past those steep stairs in front; getting up and down was painful to me using a walker; it would have been impossible for someone in a wheelchair. Yes, the 1901 building is historically protected, but there should be a way of building an inoffensive ramp.“

“What a great place! Passed by here once and our daughter’s name is Madison so I thought it would be fun to try out. Made a reservation for Mother’s Day, probably not the best day to try a new place. We showed up for our 12:15 reservations and despite the mob scene outside, our table was waiting. The food and service were spectacular on a busy day. I can’t wait to come back on a normal day. I had the cauliflower tacos. Amazing, as good as they look in the picture. Wife and daughter had omelettes with salad and potatoes. Neither could finish! Not sure if I can post photos“

“In the past year I used Custodi to cater two parties, a Hawaiian Luau and Texas BBQ. Both times the food was delicious! Chris is so easy to work with and very accommodating with what your needs are.
