“We had an exceptional experience. This was our first time dining at Capital Grille, Whippany and it was perfect from start to finish. The food was perfectly cooked. We each got steak and it was cooked exactly as requested. The sides were delicious (creamed spinach & roasted mushrooms), the shrimp cocktail was one of the best I've had. The presentation was beautiful. We were never rushed, the pace of the dinner was relaxing and enjoyable. Our server, Luisa G. was wonderful! She was attentive without hovering, she had the perfect personality for her job, she was personable, friendly, professional and helpful. The interactions with other staff members were also very positive. We also enjoyed the quiet, sophisticated ambiance. If you're looking for a true steak house experience this is it.“

“Coming here for years. Some food items have gone down in quality, namely the pork chop and mac and cheese. Pork chop used to be really cooked to perfection and moist, however lately it has been dried out and overcooked. Mac and cheese lost the amount of cheese it usually has on it, and noodles were undercooked the previous two times. Must have changed the cooks in kitchen, who knows.“

We were brought an appetizer on the house, I honestly can’t remember what it was exactly, but oh my word, it was amazing. “We recently had my daughter’s soccer team lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I spoke with the manager on duty the evening prior and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. Service was amazing as was the food. We sometimes have issues splitting checks because the girls want to sit together away from their parents but they handled it with ease. I’m still dreaming of the delicious ice cream that was the cherry on top of a great experience.“

Nestor and Louis could not have been more accommodating and helpful, especially given the short notice. They are some of the nicest and most genuine people in town. The food and the service was amazing, and everyone in attendance couldn't stop raving about it. They took a very difficult situation and provided us with a truly amazing experience. If you are looking to host an event or just go out for a great dinner, you will not be disappointed with Chef Freddy's Table. Nestor and Louis will go above and beyond for you.“

“Very happy to see this place continue to flourish after changing locations, and to see the same faces, too. The kids that work the register/answer the phone are always very friendly and polite, which is hard to come by these days.

As far as the food goes, I could blindfold myself and point to something random on the menu and still be blown away. Besides the typical crowd pleasers, do not sleep on the tortas, tostadas, or serrano salsa.

Seems to still be a local spot that has not been gentrified by 27 year olds that moved out of Hoboken and the city. I would go to war for Macho Nacho!“

Halfway though a dirty martini, Milana brought over a fresh frosted glass to ensure the rest of the drink was chilled and delicious. What a professional and thoughtful move. I went for dessert with my oldest son and wanted to bring some back for my 8 month old to share with me. We just discovered my 8 month old has a peanut allergy and we aren’t sure what other nuts he might be allergic to yet. I told the staff all of this. The gentleman who made my order went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that ice cream was safe to share with him (of course I know there are no guarantees when you are eating out). I can’t tell you how much that meant to me since allergies like this are new to my family and I. I cannot thank them enough!! They gained a customer for life.“
