“We just moved to the area from Ocean County. We enjoy going out to many restaurants when we go to different places and we especially love good sushi. We first tried other sushi places around the area that were rated highly on google (in other areas we have felt Google is usually accurate), and were very disappointed with the quality of the sushi at those places. We found this place and saw that it had all you can eat sushi and originally were not expecting much due to the reviews. However, we were blown away by the quality of the sushi. We ordered multiple rounds of different fish, especially their salmon, as shown in our photo. This is some of the highest quality sushi we have ever had. We can't speak for the other food since we have now always done the AYCE sushi. But, we can not recommend this restaurant enough, we now find ourselves always craving their sushi! We spoke to the family owners and they were very nice. I really have never written a review for a restaurant, but I had to! They have some of the highest quality sushi you can get on the east coast, make sure to try it out!“

“The food is amazing and not the typical Vietnamese offering. The restaurant switches up the menu quite frequently, so you almost never know what is going to be available when you go there. It is definitely a great date place and it is located in a very fun neighborhood.“

“I wish I knew this place sooner! The owner was so inviting and amazing . I ordered 2 items, I came into the store not only was she nice, but she also made FRESH chive dumplings for me to eat while I was watiting for my food. Not only that she got me a free dessert to try and a free thai tea for my wife to try as well. NOT giving five stars because of the free food etc. But the food and drinks were actually AMAZING. I'm a vietnamese/ malaysian and Thai food reminds me of home. It's hard to find good thai food here in new jersey. Now that I've tried this place out I will be back for more! “Literally one of my favorites in Philly, Bistro Southeast never disappoints! I have eaten here too many times to not have written a review yet. The food is always flavorful, fresh, and hot. What I like most is that it is always consistent and the portions are sizable. The crab fried rice is my favorite item on their menu but everything I’ve tried has been amazing. The wings are crispy and well seasoned, the salads are refreshing and feeling, the mango sticky rice is the perfect balance of sweet and savory…I’ve tried other dishes as well, just too many to list haha! In addition to the food, the service is great. The staff is always so friendly, they play apart in how frequently I eat there as well. I don’t have any pictures of my food because when I remember to take them my food is already half gone.“

“Wanted to try something new in the city and this place did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, everyone was moving quickly, and very accommodating and attentive, the restaurant is clean and cozy. The lighting is beautiful. The menu is small, but that’s always a good sign in my book, and the dishes were great, so good and flavorful. Everything was really hot and fresh, but also didn’t take too long to come out. Definitely have to give this place a try.“

“This is a must-try for anyone who loves Vietnamese food. The fish banh mi was fresh and flavorful, with perfectly cooked fish and crispy vegetables. The place is small and intimate, and the staff are very attentive. “I recently started ordering from here.. Uber eats.. Definitely a win-win!! I order chicken on the stick from everywhere.. Their chicken on the stick was juicy large and you get six of them!! “Absolutely incredible !!! Small place with a great vibe inside, and the food is just to die for. There were two other tables of people when we were there and they both told us how incredible this place is and the dishes they recommended and that they come here all the time. I'll definitely be back!! I had the sambal sauce Malaysian entree with shrimp and it was sooo delicious, and I usually am not a huge fan of shrimp but it was cooked so perfectly and fit the flavor palette so well. 5 stars!!!“

“Wonderful family run establishment with delicious boat noodles, pho ga and much more. I also think their Chinese donut is the best in town when fresh. I prefer the pho ga here over the one on Washington which is now over hyped and over run. Tender, juicy and moist every single time. Their boat noodles are also a must try.....best I've had in long long time. Also don't sleep on the hoagies.... Everything is just so good! The owner is very sweet and nice too.“

“I would like to share a bit of a positive thing that happened. I went to Classic Asia (AKA BEST PLACE EVER) and ordered take-out Shrimp Pho soup. When I got there, the woman (who is already so nice) told me they didn't accept AMEX cards. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me. So I said, "okay I'll be right back, I'll go grab cash!" Her reply was " No no, don't worry about it. Next time you order just tell us it's you! I couldn't believe it. I was like HUH?! How is someone being this kind ?!? I told her, she was insanely sweet and that I would be right back with cash payment. She goes "okay but don't rush, go and eat first and just come back whenever!" Don't worry i called as soon as I got home! How amazing are they?? This was super special to me, because I have MS and sometimes have issues walking and standing. In a time of need, the owner basically put my needs above hers. Just so sweet!!!“

Very glad to have them in south philly near us with so many vegan options and gluten free options on top of the regular menu that my husband chose from.“

“My father, grandmother and I visited this location today and had a good experience. We ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup which was shared between all three of us with some left over. Of course we had the lettuce wraps which were delicious as to be expected. I liked the way the meals were served... if you wanted to share your meal with others they provide extra plates. My firecracker shrimp was delicious. Not too spicy but not bland at all. My father had changes spicy chicken and my grandmother had the Teriyaki beef. Everything was delicious. Our server Sam was great and packed up all of our left overs. The best part of the meal was the limited time dessert called the Pink Slip cheesecake! It was to die for. I would recommend that dessert to everyone!

Only negative was that both my grandmother and my father thought the music was too loud but when we mentioned it to the server she tried to address the issue for us.“

“There is a reason this restaurant is packed every night. The crab& cream cheese wontons are the best I've ever had, best served eating in. The general tso chicken is fresh and flavorful. I am a huge fan of their green beans. Their food is never greasy, but will still take care of a hangover. I have been a customer since they opened, and I will drive to pick up no matter how far I live. The interior and atmosphere is absolutely transcendent. It felt like you were in a chic downtown city restaurant, but with reasonable prices. It's perfect for a date night. The best part? BYOB with a liquor store next door.
Lately, my husband and I fight over their fried wonton things and home made duck sauce. They are the best I ever had. I love how nothing in this restaurant is greasy. My cousin says they have the best sushi, but I don't eat it. They make it in the dining room in full view of customers.
Last night (Friday), I was carrying my toddler and a box of food, so a male employee came to open the doors for me. It was super nice, because they were busy. The women there aren't really nice, but I feel it's a culture thing. Americans seem overly friendly to other cultures.

“This version of fried chicken is awesome! The crunch is great. The flavours are awesome. The chicken comes out piping hot. This is not fast food. It is good food. It takes them time to cook. For those reviews that complain of how long it takes, read the menu. It specifically recommends you order "25 minutes in advance". As for the poor customer service, it is fine. They aren't overly nice with "my pleasure" every 5 seconds, but that's okay. They are knowledgeable and got my order correct. I don't need anything else. If you are someone who needs to be waited on hand and foot, go eat fine dining. The poor reviews here are unjustified. I look forward to trying something other than their chicken on my next visit.“
