Because we were a party of 2 and ordered many courses , the server staggered our food so we could enjoy every morsel We started with soup. I had the lentil my husband had Moroccan Bean. Both were so wonderful we we started sharing. I was looking forward to the taramasalata all day. When it came to the table along with warmed pita bread it did not disappoint. On to the falafel: which were some of the best we ever sampled. Not finished yet, next we had lamb kafta. Which were succulent and prepared to perfection. Our final course was the superb moussaka. The eggplant melted in our mouth with each bite and the ground beef and béchamel enhanced the flavor to a higher level Our only disappoint was we didn't have room left for dessert. “We didn’t get to eat at Zahav - but got the next big thing and ordered the Lamb Meal from gold belly with salatim. It was DELICIOUS!! Best lamb we have ever had, so delicious. Salads were yummy, hummus well done and could easily feed 6 adults. So. Much. Food. If you can’t make it to the restaurant- order the kit from Goldbelly and treat yourself!“

“The Bok building is a magical place, but go to the roof and eat at Irwins. The food, drink, and service was outstanding. The outdoor rooftop seating has a beautiful view of south Philly. Our reservation was outside. During our experience it did rain a bit, but it was worth staying. Our server was a trooper for keeping the patio goin. At night during a Phils/Eagles game you can hear the crowd roar. Electric.

The food and drink was great. There are Mezze, Pasta, Main Entree and Dessert options. I assume the menu is seasonal based on the ingredients, but I am unsure. There is a cocktail menu, wine offerings and full bar. I didnt have time to even take pictures of all the food and cocktails we were enjoying it soo much. We ordered about half the menu and will be returning to order the remaining items.

Dessert is worth it's own mention. At a lot of places, dessert is kinda a throwaway/pass. Not at Irwins. I told my wife we will also be coming back to Irwins solely for drinks and desserts next time we are eating somewhere else close by. We got the Milk and Honey Pistachio Gelato and an Almond Torta Cake that should be nominated for some kind of award.

I would recommend making a reservation. If the weather is nice, eat outside. Tell your spouse you are taking them to a Sicily Roof Jawn for dinner.“

“First time trying this restaurant. As someone who has lived in Turkiye (Iskenderun, Bornova and Ilica/ Cesme) Their food was amazing! We ordered the lahmacun, a cheese pide and shepherds salad. We ordered online and had very quick and free delivery. Tasted just as good as I remembered. Will definitely order again and will eat at restaurant. Teşekkür ederim!“

“I ordered the shawarma sandwich and the lentil soup. Both were delivered fresh and piping. Given south Asian roots i can taste a food lentil soup and this hit the spot. The shawarma was nice with added veggies but taste wise was nice but nothing that would knock your socks off. The toum sauce is a great accompaniment with the shawarma and overall the meal is a nice to have if you haven't tried. The staff is courteous and considerate of their customer needs“

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We were seated at a really pretty booth, interior is so awesome and clean. Our server Baraa was amazing and gave us cold water, and warm pita and olive oil for dipping as soon as we sat down. They have a spice blend to put in the oil and dip, it was great. The strawberry lemonade smoothie was so sweet and fresh. For dinner I got the Adana Kebab pictured below. Cooked to perfection and dipped in their sauce was out of this world.

“The only thing I've ever gotten from here is a gyro (lamb)... and boy it is one of the best Greek-style gyros around!!! Meat that is carved off of the big spit-o-meat (as opposed to the frozen "gyro strips" pretty much every pizza shop uses), very tasty tzatziki sauce, fresh veggies and pita... spot-on across the board.“
