“Great food, amazingly great quality food and atmosphere. Everything was tasty from the rice the rice and beans to the perfectly tender steak. But automatically charging 20% gratitude is a little off putting. charging $5 for chips and salsa, for a handful of chips and “salsa” that was mainly badly cut onions was excessive. But overall not a bad experience.“

Then fresh guacamole with fresh made big chips. Amazing! For mains I had the huevos rancheros which were cooked perfectly. Loved it. For dessert I had the chocolate pudding and he had the tres leches cake which were both fantastic. The service was so wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We walked by Sombrero Restaurant last night needing a place to eat before a 7pm show. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and lively. The wait staff was friendly and the food/beverages were excellent. Prices were very reasonable. A great choice. Definitely recommend.“

“Folks from California in particular like to complain that New York doesn't have good Mexican food, which is of course patently untrue. You just have to know where to look, what to order. I got the poblano mole here which I would definitely recommend. (I also had the handmade tortillas with this.) My husband got a burrito, which was fine, I think, but no "mission burrito" (IYKYK). Both of us had clean plates though -- the testament of a good meal I thought the salsas that came with the chips and salsa were all pretty good too. Nothing was mind blowing but the service was super friendly and I walked away with my food cravings pretty satisfied.“

“After being delighted by our first Los Tacos No 1 experience, we headed to Los Mariscos for our last food stop before leaving NYC. We ate it on the bus, so my memories are a bit blurry.The ceviche especial ($7.50) was delicious! I loved the crispy tostada and the savory citrusy flavors. I think there could've been a higher seafood:vegetable ratio, but the flavors and textures made up for the sparse amount of seafood.I tried the tacos a bit past their peak, but they were still pretty good. Overall I think I prefer the meats I had at Los Tacos, but it's hard to compare since I didn't have the seafood tacos fresh.I definitely want to return and dine in!“

“This is some of the best food of any kind l've had in my 45 years living in NYC. Honestly, it's amazing, chef Jose is delightful and his dishes are so nuanced and delicious. Octopus tostados are heavenly, I have no idea what all it consist of but they are delicious. There are three, I can't eat more than two but the last is always enjoyed by someone else at the table. Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. I live in Manhattan and there isn't anything near me as delicious and fresh.It’s really a special place.“

“This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.“

“I cannot sing the praises of this place and the staff enough! We had a long day at the museum and we were all starving and the kids were very cranky. We took forever trying to find a place that they would all find something to eat at but that place didn't work out so we came here not realizing how lucky we were. After having a quick glance at the menu I realized two of my children would probably not eat anything. Two of the ladies that work there helped us work it out to piece together a meal for them with components they already have. It took quite a while figuring everything out but they were patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and the cocktails and mocktails were phenomenal. About 5 minutes into our walk, I suggested, 'We have to at least try the new restaurant on the block.' So, we turned around and went back. We were greeted by our server, who was amazing—I wish I had gotten his name. After being given the menu, I ordered a margarita without sugar, and they made it perfectly—seriously, their margaritas are perfect. Our courses came out one by one, each one delicious. The guacamole, despite being a basic menu item for a Mexican restaurant, was insanely fresh and delicious. The Camaron Baja Style Shrimp Tacos were served ceviche style, and the tuna tostada had a flavorful, slightly spicy kick. We almost ordered everything— you can't go wrong here. Our favorite dish was the quesadilla. Can't wait to come back!“

“This is the first pizza place I've been to in the U.S., and the owner couple kindly helped me with the bill. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable, so I want to go again. I thought it would be a greasy pizza, but it wasn't greasy. I ordered it thinking it was a Korean large size, but it was almost twice the size, so if you're Korean, be careful about the size.Really good to buy pizza, burger etc.“

“I have been dining at La Flor since they first opened a while ago. Chef Viko is very creative and does a regular menu plus seasonal specials. He uses farmer’s market ingredients and is very generous with the portions. Expect to see very colorful and tasty combinations. The core of the menu here is Mexican food with French and Italian notes. The home made pastries and desserts are a solid plus to the dining experience. The wine list has Ben carefully selected and the moderate prices don’t sacrifice the quality. “Absolutely delicious Oaxacan food. I've always wanted to visit Oaxaca and this place definitely gave us a taste of what it will be like. The restaurant is small with a few tables but it wasn't crowded when we went for lunch on a holiday Monday. My boyfriend and I shared the mole poblano, mole oaxaqueño, and molcajete. The mole dishes came with rice, beans, and warm tortilla and I also got a small horchata. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, bursting with flavor with every bite. Nothing was too spicy but if you like sweeter things, I would highly recommend the mole poblano.“

This place is really amazing there meat is fresh, their vegetables are fresh and their tacos are really great. The staff is super nice. The taco al Pastor here might be among the best in the city only because the pineapple is cooked on the grill and it’s really nice. That charred caramelized pineapple as a real beautiful flavor. “Came here for some post-work happy hour margs w/ coworkers and it is the perfect spot for that. Lowkey atmosphere, a little cramped but not too bad compared to other bars in the area. The photo I took does NOT do this justice but I might just have to say that these could be the best tacos I've ever had. Cauliflower tacos for all my veggie friends out there - an absolute must. Chips and guac came with absolutely ample chips in a way I haven't seen a restaurant do in quite some time. Food came out super fast but in a way that didn't make us feel rushed.
