The Northern Italian menu which changes to focus on only the freshest ingredients has a little Swiss influence and is presented with an artistic touch and personal care. Last evening I hosted sixteen business associates in the back room which has an iron gate for privacy. Filippo presented a five course meal which blew everyone away followed by him playing a few songs on the Piano. The Chicken or Cod dishes were pan seared to perfection. daFilippo's is a BYOB restaurant which I Love. My wife remarked how clean the restrooms are kept. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. In closing, if you are looking for a family owned, unique restaurant where the owner chef touches every plate to ensure perfection then this is the place to make a reservation.“

“We've dined at il Forno numerous times and have loved every meal. Portions are large and delicious, and you are never rushed.

Last weekend, we had the il Forno pizza truck for our son's rehearsal dinner and it was outstanding! They served a variety of delicious pizzas and just kept them coming for 2 hours. Service was perfect, there were many compliments from guests, and no one left hungry!

“Had a party of 14 come in for an eightieth birthday, staff was super friendly and hospitable, ordered family style for the group and everything was excellent. Appetizers were well cooked and seasoned , pasta was cooked al dente and meat was tender enough to cut without a knife. Staff also provided us with some extra birthday gifts as well. Will definitely be coming back soon.“

“I can’t say one bad thing about this restaurant - the food, the service, even the greeting at the front door was all great. As soon as my friends and I walked in we felt comfortable. We shared eggplant rollatini and bruschetta to start, and each had pasta dishes (chicken parm & lasagna) for our main entrees. We each brought half our dinners home so we could share a dessert :) which was also wonderful (fresh baked chocolate chip cookie in a cast iron pan with ice cream). We WILL be back. “Girls night out was made spectacular by the owner and staff of Cafe Azzurro! The atmosphere is cozy, and busy but didn't feel overcrowded, indoor and outdoor seating available, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The owner was present greeting patrons and ensuring all needs were cared for. The food!!!! Oh my, the food was absolutely delicious! The menu had a selection for everyone. We did not feel rushed in the slightest, which seems to be a common problem, especially for a couple ladies trying to catch up. Highly recommend.“

“Attended a party there. Great food. We had Caesar salad, meatballs (giant), fried calamari (really good!) and our choice of entree. I chose chicken parmigiana, first off as a joke I asked the server if this was for the entire table, a huge portion! Two large chicken breasts atop a good size serving of linguine. The red sauce was excellent. I can’t wait to go back.“

It's one of the better NY/NJ style pizzas in the area without being too specialized.Their pasta and meat menu items are where they are best - looking at you Chicken Puicinella and Cavatelli with Broccoli.For appetizers, they have great wings which are crispy, the way I like them. Also, the fried calamari uses a very light batter, so it's not too heavy.We've ordered trays from them twice for parties and we weren't disappointed in the quantity provided and they were affordable.“

“Luna Rossa is an exceptional restaurant which is run by a loyal and dedicated team under the direction of Adrian. Our first time visiting this establishment was with a party of 10. Adrian took all of our orders including appetizers without writing anything down. The food was delivered to perfection. I am astounded by the diversity of the menu, the ability to switch out sides, the quality and taste of the food. The chefs are talented and cook to delight every palate. It's dimly lit inside which made reading the menu a bit challenging. However, everything we did order made up for it! I highly recommend the Frittura di Calamari for an appetizer. The following dishes we ordered were spectacular! Rigatoni alla Vodka, Penne alla Grotta, Gnocchi Alessandra, Norwegian Salmon (special), Penne al Forno, Spaghetti alla Carbonara and the Pollo alla Francese! It is a BYOB establishment, luckily there is a wine and spirits store next door. My family will definitely be returning to this beautiful gem in the heart of Somerville!“

“Carlos pizza is amazing, our absolute favorite pizzeria. We've been getting them for over 8 years. Recently I my food allergy escalated to the point where any exposure to it sends me to the ER. With that said, i haven't been able to order take out as its a major risk. I took a chance and requested them to exclude these ingredients from the pizza and to avoid cross contamination. They went the extra mile and made a safe pizza!! When you're not able to order pizza for months, this means the world lol. BIG THANKS TO CARLOS!! You rock! ❤️“

“Absolutely amazing experience there, went with my friends and overall everything was amazing. We ordered the garlic knots and there was 6 of us and only 6 garlic knots in the portion, our server who was the kindest ever gave us extra 🥺. Literally had the BEST service there I am not sure what the workers name is but whoever served us today I love you your the best!! He even took photos of us and the music there was so good. I really liked this one song that played and I said it out loud, im not sure if someone heard me but it played again and i was so happy!! Infact i am listening to it right now so thank you for playing that music. Okay so on top of the amazing service the food was astonishing. My friends and I got three pizzas including the pesto white sauce, caprese salad, and vodka sauce and they were all soooo good. Emphasis on the vodka sauce one that was amazing.
