“Good Italian classics in a nice, new premise. Some things can use improvement: Volcano shrimp was tasty although the ratio of 7 shrimp to an extremely large bed of mashed potatoes was disappointing. The chicken parm dish comes with a side of penne vodka which I thought was nice although it was very light in color and tasted different than penne vodka dish also ordered. Finally there was a ring around the toilet bowl in the ladies room, making me ponder the cleanliness of the establishment as a whole? Also this is a BYOB!“

“I went to a dinner one night. I went to Rosemarie’s Cucina in Clinton NJ. The food was delicious and they buy the food every morning. It opens at 5:00 but you can go earlier if you want coffee and bake goods. You can still get baked goods if you go later. That’s why you should go to Rosemarie’s Cucina.“

“A new restaurant in our bedroom community of Hillsborough, NJ, Mama Fanti is a place you don't want to miss. We went around 6:00 on a Friday night and were seated even though we didn't have a reservation. We found the food VERY flavorful! I really liked the sauces which must have some "secret" ingredients because they tasted better than what I have grown used to. We had a stuffed zucchini appetizer, three mains, a salad and a dessert for around $150.The salad was plenty for sharing. The eggplant Parmesan was interesting. I'm used to very thinly sliced eggplant with lots of breading, but Mama Fanti's was thickly sliced, nicely breaded with a delicious sauce. The veal cutlet topped with arugula was great, but the chicken dish (see below) was out of this world. I'll get that next time I go. We finished with an incredibly light tiramisu (one serving for all three of us).“

Each time, the food was far above my expectations regarding restaurants in Hunterdon County. You would think from the name of the place that it was simply the standard Italian fare, and you would be mistaken. “I placed an order for pick up. Everything we ordered was delicious. The mozzarella sticks were so good. Never have I ever picked up an order brought it home and the sticks were still hot. When you bit into them them were still stringy. My boys bit into one and can pull the cheese out as long as there arm. Highly recommend!“

“I think this is my second or third review of Azzurro. My wife and I live in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania and drive 42 miles to Peapack at least twice a month (although this week we were there twice) to dine at the best Mediterranean/Italian restaurant in N.J. We have several Mediterranean/Italian favorite restaurants in N.J. All run by Albanians. However, Azzurro is just a touch above the others. The quality of food is outstanding (Rigatoni Azzurro and Eggplant Parmigiana are standouts) with all entrees cooked to order (pasta true al'dente). Prices are very reasonable with excellent desserts priced at $7. The servers are total professionals and attentive. The restaurant is roomy, clean and have nice paintings on the wall. And to top it off, it's BYOB. We just love the place. We have not met the owner but have repeatedly pleaded with the servers to tell the owner to open a restaurant in the Lehigh Valley or at least closer to Pennsylvania. Bob and Linda“

I gave it a shot and it was excellent. The meatball, sausage and braciole were tender and tasty and the sauce was scrumptious over the fresh made pasta. I was in heaven. I cleaned every drop of the bowl with my bread.The other 3 diners ordered a fresh pasta with a tomato cream sauce, a seafood dish and a chicken with vegetables dish and every single dish looked so good, I am thinking I'm going to have to go back at least 3 more times to try them ?Had the pistachio gelato for dessert.
