“R Bar in Asbury Park is a standout destination that masterfully transports the soul of New Orleans to the Jersey Shore. The Crab Beignets with Creole remoulade are incredible for an appetizer. We had the crawfish pasta for dinner and that was just as delicious.
For dessert we had the Beignets and the strawberry churro cake. They were both great choices and a perfect way to end the meal.
Afterwards we stayed around for a couple drinks because the atmosphere is very welcoming.
While we were there, we got to me 3 of the owners. Casey, Kelly and Lindsey were all so nice and so willing to talk with us. Plus our waitress, Kieura, was so nice, friendly and gave us great recommendations.
I say all that to say, R Bar is a place you need to try. We will definitely be back again, and again!“

“I went here for my birthday! I had a pot of steamers as an appetizer and they were delicious, and served traditionally with the broth and hot butter. Then I had a 1 1/4 pound steamed lobster (with more hot butter) which came with corn (yes, I dipped it in butter) and cole slaw. Perfectly cooked! I'd love to make it there again this summer, it's always such a seasonal treat.“

“We had gone to Woodys for years and recently started visiting more frequently. Really enjoy the atmosphere and the food is good. The holiday decor is a whole vibe—the owners and staff really went all out to provide a warm, inviting experience for their customers. We are always greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. I always enjoy the time spent at Woodys, whether with friends or family. The seating options are many as the heated outdoor area is available all year long. Good food+great service+awesome ambiance=a fantastic experience.“

“Great atmosphere for sure. 3 different bars to choose from. Stopped by for a quick bite after a long day of travel because it was walking distance, but the food was just okay. The effort is definitely not there food wise, but it's my first trip to the Shore, so I can't really compare it to any other food spots. At $20 bucks a head for food, it's too expensive for what you get.“

“We went to Brickhouse today and had Brooke as our waitress she was awesome! We had the chili nachos and pretzel for appetizers they were huge and really good! “Houlihan's Tuesday special for $14.99 was chicken tenders with French Fries. I received 6 large tenders and a plate full of crispy fries. The Chicken Taco Soup was delicious too. There was even enough to take home for another meal! Nicole is an excellent server!“

“Came on New Years Eve. Servers were very friendly and attentive and Brianna handled our large party very well. Food was quite good for a chain restaurant and prices are reasonable, portion sizes a bit too big for me! My only critique is reaching the service staff to clear dishes between courses - with appetizers, entrees and desserts it becomes a real mess!“

“We heard about Castaways from some friends and had to give it a try. The drinks were a little expensive but maybe because we had several and it added up. The food was better than good and my wife commented that the fish was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was prompt and courteous. It was a good time and that’s what we look for during the winter.“

“This was a great location attached to the Howard Johnson hotel at Tom's River NJ the server was very kind, the food was great after a long day, they also had live karaoke only reason it wasn't 5 stars for me is the volume was a bit too loud but otherwise would still recommend specially if visiting Tom's River.“

“Good place to have a drink, relax and enjoy some music. The bartender was outstanding. Plenty of parking there which is not always the case at many other places. Did not order any food so can't comment on that other than almost every table was full of patrons.“
