“We went to McKenna’s Pub to get drinks and play pool for my daughter’s birthday today. It was really a great experience and I’m so glad we found it!! The bartender Billy was so welcoming and went above and beyond for us. The other guests were also very friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. Even though I lost at pool, McKenna’s Pub will definitely be a go to for us in the future!!“

“I was looking for a place to hold a small(er) afternoon party for about 60 friends & family members, and McQ’s came highly recommended for great food, wonderful atmosphere, and top notch service. They did not disappoint. The general manager, Alexis was a pleasure to work with, and was helpful with menu choices, and whatever additional asks I had. (A table area for a display, AV hook-up for a slide presentation, and complimentary drink “coupons” for my guests. The entire staff (including the kitchen) was friendly, and determined to make this a fun (and delicious) event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I give them 5 stars 🌟 out of 5.“

We had a few beers, The cauliflower wings, a Burger, and the steak rice bowl.

Everything was pretty good. The rice bowl was a stand out.

He responded to my questions in a timely manner and handled the small details that day so I could enjoy myself with the guests. The food was great and the variety made it fun. The bartenders were attentive , friendly and brought their A-Game. The lake views and outdoor area was just phenomenal! Every single guest had a great time! I couldn't have booked a better place. “Ordered the margarita pizza and it was horrible. Never had raw garlic on a pizza and the tomato was just clumped on and not even cut open. It was also burned and I ended up throwing it away. What a waste of 16. - never again“

“Hosted a company event there, and it couldn’t have gone any better! Planning was super efficient and easy. Great packages to choose from and very willing to customize. Service was great and food was outstanding! Everyone had a lot fun with the sport simulators. Was extremely happy from start to finish! Highly recommend!“

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

“We decided to go to Charlie’s to listen to music on a Sunday afternoon. Headed straight out to where the band was playing. Inside was about 15 people watching soccer and baseball games and drinking/eating. A server took an order from a table near us, not acknowledging us. About 10 people outside. After ten minutes I went inside asked for a menu and ordered two drinks. She told me someone would be out to take order for food. Another ten minutes went by. I went back in and ordered. There were at least four staff members inside, It wasn’t that busy. Our drinks were good, food was good and music was nice.
It’s too bad the service was lacking , it didn’t have to be. If they were more attentive, people outside would have ordered more drinks because it was warm.“

“We stopped in for a quick dinner after shopping. The service was quick and everyone was very nice.
There was an error with one of our items but they fixed it quickly.
The food was hot and tasty.
Overall a pretty positive experience.“

“We have eaten there several times and it is always delicious. We want to give special appreciation to Rachel, your manager, for her special caring and sensitivity to our needs. In today's world, where one struggles, especially if old like we are, to speak to a live human being, when you are able to converse with a person who is actually listening to what you said, this is rare. Add to that delicious fresh food and you have a winner. Tonight we had fresh large shrimps with a most delicious home made cocktail sauce. Fresh crab cakes with a fabulous remoulade, and a chocolate mousse to die for as dessert. We ordered too much and have to save some for tomorrow. We live in town, and are happy to see the names of so many out of town visitors appreciate Chesapeake Tavern.“

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. The vintage decor there is fabolous! Highly recommended.“

My friend had many GF choices which she also ordered extra meals to take home, but was disappointed that the GF cheese cake bar was removed from the summer menu.
