“Typical atmosphere for a mostly take out restaurant. They do have a couple of tables so you can eat in. We stopped for a quick lunch and were not disappointed! We were able to get a table and sat in for our meal. The woman at the counter was super nice and friendly. She brought our food to us when it was done.We ordered the fried pork dumplings to start. They were very good.We got the lunch special which came with soup (or a couple of other options if you'd prefer). The wonton soup was fabulous. Very flavorful and had nice big fresh wontons. I got the chicken and broccoli and my husband had the chicken and string beans. The lunch special comes with either white, brown or fried rice. I had the fried, super tasty with a good amount of veggies and pork. The chicken dishes were so good! All and all it was really good food with great sized portions for a lunch special. I actually think they were amoung the best in the area.The place was clean and the staff pleasant and the food was delicious!Highly recommend.“

“Let me start by saying that I have eaten more Chinese food in more places than the average person. I have a half dozen places that are closer to me but Bally Dar is my standard since discovering it. All the classics are textbook perfect. They are happy to make my General's Chicken with just a little sauce or to omit shrimp and add beef to house special noodle dishes. By the way, I've never seen Udon noodles at a Chinese take out joint. My new fave is House special Udon, 86 the shrimp and add beef. Service is great, they are super fast so I usually just order while I'm driving there or even in the parking lot. Speaking of the parking lot, I like to park on the side of the building and then drive around to get out, otherwise it is a very tight lot full of hangry NJ drivers spazzing out LOL.“

“Just wanted to thank Hong Kong Palace for a wonderful dinner and Birthday celebration for my son, Tyler. The food was outstanding, the prices were reasonable, portions were good, and the staff were amazing. They played happy birthday over the stereo system. It was a beautiful night. Vegetarian options: I do know that they have Tofu dishes and a huge menu. Also, it is buy 2 sushi rolls, get one free.

Parking: No problems with the parking. We went at 6:30, but there is ample parking all the time there. I have been before, but this was a birthday dinner, and Hong Kong Palace made it so special.“

I was passing through the area and saw the Jamaican place next door online. I have social anxiety and usually don’t go inside places I don’t know by myself but I decided that I REALLY wanted some j*** chicken, set my gps and drove. As I approached I saw the place I intended to go, and parked. Kept my head down and walked inside. To my surprise I looked up to see two people who were very much not Jamaican lol there was no customers in there and I felt like a deer in headlights and couldn’t turn around and walk out so i just blurted out that I would like some beef lomein. He rang me up and it was $14 and change and my immediate thought was “wtf” but whatever, (I used a card and there was no mention of a $15 limit) I decided to wait in the car for my food and as I did I looked at the reviews. Over and over I read people said the food was expensive, sucked, and the people were rude and stingy with sauces. I was not feeling very hopeful for my lunch at all. However, when I went back in to get my food, the man was more lively and very polite, even asked if I would like any sauce, which I thought was funny. I went back to my car and realized that I had a quart rather than a pint (I never specified) which was why it was so costly. When I opened the container I was pleasantly surprised that there was a lot of meat and veggies in there and it was super hot and fresh. The taste was on point too, probably one of the best beef lomeins I’ve had. Maybe they aren’t super friendly or bubbly, but they were fair, nice, and the food was great. Don’t let the other reviews scare you.“

I’d put China Taste right in the middle, not great tasting but not terrible.When Yummy Taste is fresh it is my favorite, but more often than not it seems they cook large batches and reheat the orders. I think China Taste might be doing the same.So sesame chicken was a bit stale, lo mein a bit soft, and chicken with broccoli the chicken was a bit soft.My favorite with consistency is Yung Lung. They seem to always cook their food fresh, although I don’t love their sesame chicken flavor.“
