“Always fun just pay attention to your surroundings and make sure you pay attention to your drink prices as well! They seem to randomly "fluctuate" at the downstairs bar. I found to go upstairs bar instead. During the day is slow lots of fun on the weekends open pretty late. They've got some GREAT people working security but still be aware and listen to security They've got a good eye on things. Just know you're going to be patdown and carded EVERY TIME before entering. Also have good food as and really nice the kitchen open until closing!“

“Awesome speakeasy style bar. Small (15ish tables plus bar space) and doesnt take reservations. Got lucky that there was a table open when we walked in as it was the last one. Booth was comfty, mood lighting was romantic, music was a bit odd for the setting (latin-ish vibes) but not distracting. Drinks were great, had the bartenders choice which resulted in a good interesting drink. Lots of liquor options too and snacking food looked solid.“

“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“We have been here many times because of the location but more importantly, we both love the ambiance! Staff is always friendly and professional. I usually drink cocktails instead of wine because the wine list does not include Malbec or anything quite like it. My husband will drink the red wine available because they don't have the single malt Scotch he prefers. Also, enjoyed the live music! Oh, the food (trout sushi, sides of veggies, and pizza) was excellent!“

“I travel out of the Amtrak Lounge in Philadelphia daily for work in the New York area quite often and I want to give a special thanks to the attendant Nicole who greets all of the passengers daily with positivity and enthusiasm.

It’s not easy juggling all of the train schedules for passengers but she handles that task perfectly.

In regards to the lounge itself the bathrooms are always clean throughly and I want to say thank you for providing fresh fruit in the mornings. I’m an orange enthusiast and they really perk me up in the mornings :)“

“We went to Eddie V's for a birthday celebration but only told our waiter that when we sat down. Asked for no fanfare regarding the birthday. He was great about it, welcomed us and got our drink order. Then we got a delicious amuse bouche, a fried oyster with corn salsa. Excellent!! Placed our order and had yummy bread at the table that we really enjoyed. Our meal was one of the best we have had anywhere in a very long time. Steak was tender and tasty, my shrimp stuffed with crab was perfection. During our meal the manager stopped by and gave us a holiday gift of a gift certificate for our next visit which was unexpected and really kind. Our waiter was EXCELLENT. He brought us a sweet plate of desserts as a birthday gift, one was flaming bananas foster cake! All in all, we had not one complaint, the room was perfectly lit and beautiful and we had such a great night. We can't wait to go back!!“

The food was excellent: our waitress Hannah suggested the scallop appetizer (with bread to soak up the sauce afterwards!) and the tiger prawn entree, so we got those and the shrimp pancake cups. “This is straight up one of the coolest vibes in black Philadelphia. You get such a diverse crowd of people across the diaspora and the food is amazing. Karaoke night brings out some REAL singers but even if you aren’t good, the crowd is still so supportive and fun. I really love this place.“

“I visited El Patio Cafe Restaurant for the first time. I ordered the chocolate milkshakes with whipped cream and cherries for me and my daughter. It was so light and airy, affordably priced for the container size. The environment is warm and inviting with a small seating area to accommodate ten people, in case you are waiting on your order to be completed. Speaking of orders, the menu displays a variety of multicultural foods and they are affordable for the budget-conscious eater. Overall, I highly recommend El Patio Cafe Restaurant as my go-to neighborhood eatery for good eats and sweet treats. If you are reading this review and you are not local to the South Philadelphia area, I suggest you check them out with a friend.“

“I chose this place to celebrate by brothers birthday with the things he would have liked; he love cheesecake and a good gin. So I ordered what he would have eaten if he was still with us. My good friend joined me for a drink before we went restaurant hopping after work.
Hostess female was not friendly on the entrance ; however the male host is the reason for the three stars. Our server was not friendly just blah. As I watched her she was like that with all the guest. The views were amazing our drinks were wonderful. I didn’t into include the two glasses of moscato or the crab cakes. All so good. The lobster roll needed seasoning but for the price I ate everything lol. The presentation was good on all except the cheesecake flight mango passion fruit and coconut flavored 7/10.
I like the venue I’ll check it out again and hopefully I can give five stars. For me customer service is the determining factor. Definitely visit and make reservations“

“It's a great place to go and relax with a shisha. The best shisha I have ever smoked, the atmosphere is nice ((very calm music)), the place helps you study or complete some transactions on the computer, without disturbance from customers, and the place was clean and well ventilated. The bathroom was also clean. The service was excellent with brother Adel. He was very nice. The tobacco was fresh and the charcoal was clean, with no smell or taste.“

“Spades is definitely the best nightclub I’ve been too in Philly. Music selection was on point. bottle service was lit too our server KAYLA was on her stuff made sure we was good and we had everything we needed! “They wings are good my only problem I have with them is they never open when they suppose to be open it says 12 and they literally don’t open til 12:30 almost 1 my break at 12 so I be wanting to order at 12 they need to do better with the time they open“

“I didn’t even know it was open as I walked but until a patron said you should go in for a drink. I was very glad I did. If you are not put off by the fact this is primarily a local spot for folks from the neighbourhood then the other patrons and staff was friendly. Beer was $2.50 a bottle and a shot of Hennessy was $5. The shots look small to the eye but are measured with their auto dosing system. A great value night cap on the way back to my hotel.“
