“Our family celebrated my husband's 60th birthday at Venezia last night. There were 16 of us. Milo went out of his way both ahead of time and that night to be sure that my husband's event was special. Milo offered us a semi-private dining area. It was very intimate and quaint and we felt like we were the only party at the venue. The food, which goes without saying, was absolutely delicious. Milo had nine appetizers ready for us, along with our wine, beer, ice, and favors set-up. Our meals were wonderful. My very favorite was the Gnocchi Sorento. The gnocchi are truly little pillows of deliciousness. I highly recommend Venezia for a romantic dinner or a larger party with your favorite people. “The ambiance is amazing at Santorini. The place is so well lit up and the music is fantastic. The Scallops were cooked to perfection and left me wanting more. Delicious! The short rib with risotto was again cooked to perfection and was delicious. The wine list was a bit pricy with Cabernet at 11/glass and 24/glass for Farmsted but they too were excellent. “I'll Posto is an upscale BYOB in Avalon. We stopped in early on a Saturday during off season. We were quickly seated and met by a server. The space is upscale. There were a number of specials which they explained to us. The pesto that accompanied the bread was a great burst of flavor. We started with the fried calamari which had a wonder drizzle of both balsamic and a red sauce. Both added to the dish in a positive way. We shared a caesar salad which was fairly boiler plate in terms of presentation and flavor. For entrees our kids had linguini and meatballs which is off menu for kids and my wife had risotto far diablo and I had a seafood special with a rose cream sauce. Both were very flavorful with lots of seafood and the special had homemade pasta. Wait staff was attentive. Only downside was price, which was high even by shore standards. Overall it was a very solid meal.“

“They do a great job with their pizza and steaks. In all honesty, there isn't much in the way of "good food" in most of the shore towns. Berardi Brothers not only crushes it on the Jersey Shore but would hold their own with some of the big dogs in Philly. I will say, their pizza dough doesn't have as much flavor as I would like, but with that said, it still has more than most and can hold up to their robust sauce, generous toppings and Grande cheese (some of the best if you can find a shop that uses it). Their steaks are great as well. I recommend going with Cooper Sharp over Whiz, but that's my preference. The steak is chopped so if you're a slab person this isn't your spot. Everything: steak, cheese and onions are cooked well and mixed great throughout. The roll (which is the most important part of a cheesesteak), is perfect. Next year, when I bring the family back to the shore, we're choosing Sea Isle City again for nothing more than the fact that I can get a great meal at Berardi Brothers when everyone else in town fails me.“

The restaurant side doesn't open until later in the day, obviously. However, when you walk into the restaurant, it's like you've entered an entirely different place! It's not quite what it used to be. Maybe that might change since spring has picked up, and summer will be in full swing before we know it!The pizzeria is busy during all seasons! The restaurant does have an amazing N.Y. Strip Steak and a brilliant rib-eye if I'm not mistaken! Then their seafood is apparently delicious! I'm biased since I'm not big on seafood.
