“Everything for the most part was good. There was a minor discrepancy at the end but it wasn’t enough to make me say I would not return. We paid cash since they refused to take separate cards out split the check.
The food and drink options were top notch. I strongly recommend getting there early because you will have a wait. And it’s worth the wait!
I will definitely return when in the area and I highly recommend.“

“I came here for some breakfast on my first morning in NYC. It’s my first time in America and wanted a true American diner experience. Westway went above and beyond what I expected. “It looks like a greasy spoon sort of diner cafe. A neighborhood place. The meatloaf was good. The iced coffee was ok. The service was impeccable. It looks a little rundown but you don't go there for ambiance. I will return to try something else.“

“If you're in New York and want to have a delicious, well-served breakfast in an atmosphere reminiscent of movies...don't forget to go to JOHNS COFFEE SHOP. I really liked the place, the waiter was very attentive and everything we ordered was good (family - 5 people).

“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

“Delicious food and very nice service from Rebecca. I had a party of 6, with some vegetarians, and someone who had to eat something gentle on the stomach. We sat at the bar and our server, Rebecca, was super nice, attentive, bilingual (which was helpful for our group), and gave great food recommendations.
I ordered the braised short rib 5/5 would order again in a heartbeat, especially for the price. Comes with brasato sauce a lemon vinaigrette, perfect for cutting the richness. Some of our party ordered veggie burgers, others ordered chicken noodle soup. I also ordered a mocha.
Definitely eat here if you’re in the area and in the mood for comfort food this winter!“

“What a great and convenient place to have lunch or breakfast. I truly enjoy the sandwiches and soups. My favorite is beef barley on Tuesdays. Chicken noodle fills the bill any day with different pastas to satisfy your palate. Friendly service and just a great place to eat. Come and enjoy your meal, it will truly be worth it.!!!“

“I am absolutely a big fan of this place. The first time I came here was in 2019 when my 25th birthday landed on thanksgiving. My sister and I stumbled upon it so we stopped in for breakfast. They were really nice, the service was quick, and the portions were great. Also super affordable within the city!
I wanted to stop in on my 30th birthday this year which once again fell on thanksgiving. I was with my other sister and the situation was the same. Super nice, quick, great portions, and affordable. We also loved their food and ate every bite. This is now my favorite place in the city and I’m excited to go back every year from now on!“

“A GEM find in Long Island City. Walking distance from our hotel, perfect little diner for breakfast or lunch. We ordered breakfast for lunch:) the pancakes were some of the best we’ve ever had! I had blueberry pancakes & both of my kids had pancakes. They came out fast and steaming hot, PERFECT. And the prices were so reasonable. This is an a must visit!“
