“Very nice and kind of rustic inside with the brick walls and table legs made out of old piping. Nice brick oven pizza oven makes the pizza extra special. The server made a delicious raspberry iced tea which wasn't in the menu just because I ask. Food and drinks came out quick and was very good.Parking: Lots of people in the strip mall and didn't seem like much parking. Even the strip mall next door was packed.“

“Pretty good experience! There was a little bit of a mix up with what we ordered but they instantly took care of it and got us the rest of our food. Some of the food was hit or miss. The broll, Bloc party, Hijiki, and e I shumai was great but I didn't really like the chashu because it was a bit gummy and the wings were not my favorite. But other than that, it was all great. “Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar. Don’t really get the appeal of going after sun down when it’s pitch black inside though. Makes it super awkward when people go to the bathroom and this blaring light suddenly appears in the corner of your eye or if you go and come out from a piss to see the whole bar squinting at you because you’re a visual disturbance“

There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. You can just grab what you need and chill. I had a really delicious strawberry NA beer suggested by the staff, really the best NA beer I have ever had. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.“

“Perfect neighborhood gem. Gastropub food is just delicious. Wide variety of food options as well as a terrific beer selection. Through the pub and then a doorway into the "house" next door is a very cozy two floor (maybe three?)experience, a house turned into an eating area, also a surprise pinball machine corner and televisions on both floors. Very unique, very comfortable. You just want to hang there all night as if it were your own house. Love it“

“As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find meat-free brunch options that can compare to traditional items. Sidecar Bar is the best brunch i’ve had in Philly! I got the Hippy Benny and it was PHENOMENAL!!! The ingredients were fresh and the potatoes were incredible. I went with a large group and some other favorites were the pancakes, the breakfast flatbread, and the Texan Benny. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat while still remaining casual and family friendly. I had a burrito with thin steak. My wife had sandwhich with marinated pork, Mexican cheese, lettuce, tomato.. The portions were huge. The food was delicious. “We were in town for a concert on Friday night and stayed up on 4th near Arch. We found ourselves walking down to South Street, and did no pre-visit research on where to go. A lot of places are shut down, probably victims of the pandemic. We walked along the street and found Wooly Mammoth, figured it was time to stop. We'd already had dinner, so I can't speak to the menu but stuff being brought out to other patrons at the bar looked good. If you like wings and fries and tots and stuff to go with your beer, you're at the right spot. I'm a fan of craft beer so I like to try the locals. I don't need bud light or sam adams when I'm visiting a city with actual local brewing. We'd been to Yards the day before and I found that the only draught beer they had which I'd never had was Stacy's Mom from Evil Genius. Then I fell back on an old favorite of Magic Hat #9 (classic).We switched to the cider they had (can't recall what it was named) and enjoyed the Islanders vs. Flyers, and the 90s mix the bartender had running on Spotify. Good vibe for us, we're 90s music kids. the vibe felt honest and local, like actual people from this actual neighborhood actually come into this spot. That's always a good sign. Left around midnight to walk back to the hotel. Really good time here at Wooly Mammoth!“

“Stepping inside is kind of like visiting Cheers, even if you've never been here before. Everybody's friendly. You're sure to strike up a conversation at the bar with staff or other customers. The draft list is surprisingly decent and always rotating, but there's always a great bottles and cans menu. It's been a while since I've ventured up to the 2nd or 3rd floor, but there's a lot to explore, including a pool table. There's lots of fun stuff on the walls and behind the bar, and the ambiance is usually pretty decent unless an idiot tries to troll everyone on the TouchTunes. This is an old school pace with two pool tables and a short food menu. I believe the same people own Rose Bar off of Island Ave. They have the standard Asian version of soul food, basically good fried wings with various fried rice on rotation. The Singapore Soup was just okay no tofu or chicken Would I go back? Yep during Happy Hour 5-7 Monday-Friday.“
