“I think that Rumba Cubana is so successful because, among other things, the staff is incredible and the food is delicious.
I have been to their different locations, but this past Saturday, I was in the vicinity of this particular one and decided to go for dinner. The place was packed and we had to wait a few minutes, but it was worthwhile.
I would like to send a shoutout to Matias for being extra accommodating. Thank you for understanding our particular situation and for finding us a table.
My friend and I had the chicken soup and the montaditos for appetizers. Then I had the arroz con pollo and my friend had the chuletas with rice and black beans. As always, the food was delicious, the portions were sufficient to take a little bit home for later and the service...the service is always magnifico.
I will definitely keep going back to Rumba and I recommend it highly.“

“I've been here several times but, this was the first time I asked for veggie paella & asked them to add shrimp °•~ It was so good !!!

I also had Ceasar Salad & Shrimp Ceviche which was also good with lychee martinis 🥂.“

“We had the BEST experience with Casa Cubana catering our large joint 80th/50th birthday party. The audience was made up of our large group of family and friends (roughly 50 Cubans :-) and they are a discerning audience when it comes to Cuban food). Everyone raved about the food- the lechón was super juicy, the mojo was perfect , everyone loved the empanadas and croquetas too. Diana and Mercedes were so helpful and communicated everything really clearly we are looking forward to working with Casa Cubana again ! Thanks again for making it such a special day!“

“I've been craving a good Cuban sandwich and finally stopped at Montunos. The Cuban sandwich was fresh and delicious! They add garlic butter to the sandwich, which enhanced the flavor. The pernil is well-seasoned, moist, and tender. I would definitely go back just for this sandwich. My husband had fried chicken from the buffet with yuca con mojo and tostones. My only minor suggestion would be to offer a mojo with the tostones, but aside from that, the food and service were excellent.“

“We came to The Cuban in Union City to celebrate my stepfather’s birthday, and everything about the experience was amazing! Our server, Asiria, was absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, and thoughtful with every little detail. She really made us feel welcome.

The team even surprised us with a birthday song and a flan, which was such a sweet and memorable touch! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was vibrant with great music playing in the background.

We had such a great time and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!“

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. “I can't give a full review because it was my 1st time visiting the establishment. I can give a review of what I ordered & of the person that served me. Everything looked & smelled good. The person who served me was kind & friendly. I had the picadillo with white rice, sweet plantains, a fried yuca fritter, & a side of beans. It all was very tasty, with the exception of the fritter. My only qualm was the pricing for what I ordered. It came to $29, including 2 bags of cheese doodles.Would I go back... Yes. Everything looked vibrant & fresh... I wanted to try EVERYTHING.“

As a vegetarian I got served a meal that had meat in it. It was a large order so I don't fully fault them. I'm sure if I had ordered on my own they would have said something.

I love Hispanic food, but this food was perfect! I got their breakfast French toast and my sister got their pancakes. I swear these typical sweet/bread type breakfast foods are not my thing yet the way they made them tasted so different and flavorful, for me this was unique. There Cuban empanadas are very savory, especially with the sauces they provide. My only critique is that lemonade, as it’s very bitter bc it had lime and it’s not sweet at all. The lemonade is $7.30 with card, and my meal was $9.99. Our server was very sweet, I would recommend coming here to have sweet/savory options met here. Also to me breakfast here is very affordable because with me and my sisters (3 people) our bill came to $56 with card, so most places in Hoboken are pricey but this place can offer what you need at an affordable price.“

We also shared some bacalaitos and ensalada de escabeche. Authentic Puerto Rican flavors, which are hard to come by in this area now, we where happy campers.
Beautiful decor, and everything was lovely and clean. Kudos to new owner/ management (Edwin), who was super engaged with every single customer! “We went to Omar’s this morning for a bite, upon entry we were warmly greeted and customers looked to be regulars. All of this was a good sign. We ordered two Taylor ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches and coffee. This sandwich was no joke it was much larger than expected, the bread was fantastic, eggs cooked just right and the Taylor Ham, well it’s Taylor Ham it’s always perfect. The Cuban coffee was amazing. Highly recommend.“
