“We happened upon this gem purely by chance. We had an amazing meal from A-Z (!!!) The sushi is phenomenal; sit at the newly designed sushi bar in the back and enjoy unique daily catches that come in through the connections the owner has with local fishermen. The restaurant is also known for their aged steaks, and Kobe prime rib, which we will try next time. I had the miso black bass and it was one of the best flavors with fish I have ever had. The broth had such a delicate shiitake mushroom flavor, which I loved. I literally couldn’t have had enough of this delicate, delicious dish. I could have had two orders and eaten it all! I think this dish epitomizes what the word UMAMI means. I also had the sautéed mushroom extravaganza, a treat for every taste bud of incredible flavors melted with a delicate sauce. My husband had their unique collection of sushi and sashimi choices that were all enjoyed at their stunningly beautiful sushi bar, complete with two young, passionate chefs who love what they do, and treasure their personal designs of the fish and rolls. All the rolls are presented in this great wooden cradle design, which I thought was so unique and functional. The owner was all smiles and genuinely happy to have had us try his new restaurant. I recommend it highly for either an exceptional steak meal (all are btw, so reasonably priced so order them for sure), or the traditional sushi. You won’t be disappointed. This will be our weekly go-to restaurant and we are counting the days until we will return, which actually will be next Tuesday the 9th! “Ordered Shiso for delivery on Saturday night after reading some glowing reviews online and it did not disappoint - will be my new go-to for sushi takeout. Got the Chef's choice sushi and tuna/aji sushi and every piece was amazing and so fresh. Also got the spicy tuna crispy rice (don't have a photo) but would skip this next time, it just doesn't travel well. Can't wait to try Shiso in person!“

The salmon lover's sushi entree is my go-to and is accompanied by a salad and soup. “My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new in the Northern Liberty area as we frequent the area quite a bit, and decided to give Yanaga a try. After just one dine in experience, it's become one of our new favorite spots to eat, and it's definitely on the restaurant rotation for when we go out to eat!

The place is very decked out with anime stickers, manga panels, and the like, while also playing different kinds of anime on the TVs they have on premise. I really recommend the spot, for just the food alone even if you don't like anime.“

I had the Treasure Roll (not on the menu but I saw it online), a Spicy Tuna Roll, and a Green Salad (Ginger Dressing was 10/10). Definitely a bit on the pricier side but worth it.“

“If it’s your first omakase experience then you’ll like it. If you’ve had more expensive omakase before, then this one doesn’t really have the same experience factor. The quality of the fish was good but it was fast(less than 1h) and felt rushed. The sushi chef didn’t really explain anything other than state the obvious name of the fish. “I think it’s my favorite take out sushi nowadays. Yes, we haven’t been served inside but we got multiple times take out and it’s pretty consistent and delicious! You know what is my favorite - it’s Tuna Hako Maki, it’s just what you want from tuna :) Volcano Maki is not what you think it’s better! Try it! Also my child likes chicken, so we get him Chicken Katsu and its generous portion and has sides, a lot of sides: miso soup, rice and sauce, salad too. It seems a good deal for Katsu dish. “Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. “Popped in a hibachi lunch with my DW during the Sutumn Festival here in town. Excellent food, and the hibachi lunch is a steal at 16 bucks for the filet mignon. Not a typo, you read it right. A bargain. They serve it 11 to 3. It is pictured. Includes the miso soup, also pictured.

Friendly and courteous wait staff. The spicy yellowtail roll (pictured) was very good. The pictures do not do justice to the good presentation. The Wasabi kicked butt.

If you're in Moorestown for lunch, definitely give Akira2 a try. Great value for price paid.

Update April 2026...went for an early dinner and Akira did not disappoint. The Samurai roll is outstanding, and the hibachi seafood for 2 is a screaming bargain. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. You simply won't go wrong here. Important note: BYOB.“

“We visited Kura Revolving Sushi Bar on a Friday during dinner time, and it was definitely busy, but the wait line moved surprisingly fast. The restaurant was clean and had a very interesting setup. It took us a few minutes to figure out how the food belt system worked, but once we got the hang of it, it was fun and unique! We tried sushi and some sushi wraps – the food was fresh and tasty, though the portions were small for the price. Overall, it’s a cool experience, but it can be a bit pricey. “This is a great Karaoke spot. The room is quite big compared to other places. The food is good too. They have a lot of variety. They messed up mojito with some peach syrup and fixed it later. The overall experience is great and good to go for karaoke with large group and still have a private space.“

“I have ordered take out from Sakura several times and it always hits the spot. Because the restaurant is a repurposed Taco Bell (and still maintains that sweet 1990s Taco Bell architecture), it is incredibly convenient to swing through the drive-thru and collect fresh made hibachi and sushi.

One of our favorite dishes is the house fried rice, well made and packed with chicken, steak, and shrimp. Easy to share while trying a bunch of other dishes.

The restaurants pickup times have always been spot on, with our food being served hot. Portions are generous and prices are more than reasonable.“
