Their espresso drinks are excellent, smooth and well-crafted. I also noticed how popular their matcha drinks were while I was there — almost everyone seemed to be ordering one. A true hidden gem in the suburbs that brings genuine city café vibes. ☕✨“

“Whenever I have been home from college over the past couple of years, I have come here almost everyday! The vibes are great, the iced coffee is delicious, and it's open until the evening which is my favorite part. Their blueberry scones are the best I have ever had, as well.

“Cute well decorated shop with seating, plants, and cold vegan food. Wish they had outlets for laptops or fresh hot food. Looks like they have liquor but they’re closed after 3pm and on weekends so that doesn’t really make sense?. Tried a horchata latte and it was very sour and difficult to drink. Man happily fixed and changed it for me. Second drink still bad.. Would not eat here again but would come back for a casual daytime date just because of the cozy ambience & Great service.“

“Looooved the atmosphere at this cute Puerto Rican owned cafe. The coquito latte?! AMAZING. My friend got the avocado toast and I got the breakfast sandwich on Mexican bread. 9/10! The only downfall was that people were comfortably seated and no one was really policing the tables, but my friend and I finally got a seat and were able to enjoy the experience a little better.“

“Came here by accident as my husband and I were about to goto Hmart right across the street and boy did we find a hidden gem! It’s funny because we were craving a sandwich and was about to shop for the ingredients to make at home and it was just meant to be!

We ordered a turkey cold cut sandwich and a chicken cutlet sandwich with a large coffee to share. The sandwiches were off the hook!!! The bread itself was so good and it just blew our expectations! It was so good that we had to order another breakfast sandwich to try and even that was really good. The place is very cozy and the ambience was just perfect. Prices are very reasonable for the tasty and fresh sandwiches they make. They did a great job with everything! Def highly recommend this place as I know we will be returning more often.“

“Absolute shocked that this place hasn’t blow up yet. By far the best Venezuelan food I’ve ever had!!! Lillian was so sweet and helpful, very friendly, and was so proud to showcase the shops’ offerings. We had a cachapa, an arepa, and some tequeños along with a chai and latte. The quality of ingredients was out of this world and I cannot recommend this little shop enough. I cannot wait to go back to get more food!!“

This eatery is a hidden gem in the mount Haven section of the BX...who knew!? Love the rustic casual ,chill vibe & the rooftop seating on a summer day is everything. The food... fresh uncomplicated, there are halal vegan& vegetarian options. The chocolate croissant and vegan carrot cake 🥰 My personal favorite is avocado toast with turkey bacon , arugula or the goddess bowl add a great cup of coffee or Chai latte it's all delish!! To the staff are friendly and helpful. We love this eatery so much we just had my friend's son's wedding there, intimate, beautiful. A must try.“

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.

The space is small but offers some seating indoors and outdoors. I will definitely try to come again for the egg toast specifically.“

The salads were good and seemed fresh. This place is like a buffet with many options so do not get overwhelmed! I walked around and viewed all the options before I started creating my plate. “Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“Built in 1937 and originally known as “Lookout Inn, my partner and I decided to stop at the State Line Lookout Cafe after a nice hike for a bite. This casual establishment is a throwback to yesteryear inside a nice stone cabin with fireplaces to warm up during cold weather and the only restaurant/cafe around in the nearby area.

I was greeted by the young staff. Their simple menu is a little diverse, from breakfast sandwiches, various burgers, and hot dogs to fries, but nothing too fancy.

We decided on a cheeseburger, a tuna fish salad sandwich, large fries to share, and drinks for takeout.

Service was friendly and quick. Prices are quite reasonable, and the food was hot, freshly prepared, and tasty.

We can recommend it.“

Purple Waves is a beautiful, cozy spot with delicious coffee — perfect for eating, working, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment.
What I loved the most was its coherence and purpose: if you want your coffee to go, you need to bring your own cup; they even sell products like milk in returnable glass bottles. 🌿 A truly genuine commitment to the planet!
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and talking about sustainability and purpose… such a lovely and inspiring person.

“Love this coffee shop/bakery in this converted old train ticket /waiting station. Their are still some announcements as trains pull in. Noticed some people working on their laptops. saw some families. Parking is a little tough and you have to pay metered parking via an app or coins. Once inside it is totally worth it. I highly recommend this place.“
