“For a mom n pop pizzeria, Carmela's sure is one of the best NY style pizzas that I've had. We ordered a large size cheese pizza, along with some garlic knots/bread. The pizza came out hot n ready from the oven. The cheese was just stretching away and the sauce was robust. The dough itself tasted very good. We sprinkled some red crush peppers and garlic seasoning/powder. Mmmmm more and more garlic. And more garlic. And wait....even more garlic. The garlic knots were delicious. They were heated warmAnd I asked them to lace it with extra garlic oil. A perfect combination of both items. There's a few tables inside and it's a simple looking pizzeria. They do offer pizza by the slices also.“

“Tony's Open Kitchen is a great Italian addition to the neighborhood. I recently went to dinner her with a group of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pasta entrees were a hit and the Regolare Pizza was great (ohh.. that sauce). The service was fast and efficient. I ordered then eggplant parmigiana, which was awesome and a plentiful portion size. I liked the fact that it was not deep fried, but instead lightly battered and baked. The accompanying vegetables were all so flavorful and delicious. The complimentary bread was hot, fresh and tasty out of the oven. It's a BYOB, so that's a plus. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other entrees. Note: They charge 3% for using a credit card and will only do up to 3 credit cards per table. That created a bit of an issue with 10 people, since not everyone had cash on hand.“

When he went to pick it up, the guy was so nice, he offered my husband an additional pizza, no charge! It was later in the evening, and the person who ordered it didn’t pick it up. When he got home with it, I was delighted to find that it was a second cheese pizza (my favorite). YUM. Let me tell you, I was HAPPY and thankful. It’s the only pizza I eat now. They were beyond accommodating and the service was insanely fast. The bread and homemade tomato sauce that’s brought out is delicious and set the tone. I ordered the pasta alla vodka and my son ordered the gnocchi with Alfredo. Both came with a choice of soup or salad and the soup of the day was potato and bacon… to die for! Today when I paid I used my debit card instead of paying cash like I have every other time this was around 12:15pm today. The employee made a big deal about it being a NASA Card (my mom worked at Nasa & I have had an account there since 10th grade) By 1:30pm someone had attempted to use my card for a $1,339 AT&T purchase that was declined three times then used some Delta D account to charge $799.60 and unfortunately the second attempt work. I just came from the location and and all I had was smoke blown up my but. Either an employee or patron did something and they have a camera inside the store but was told the owner has the key. If the owner would just let me know when he will be there I will show up and we can handle this like gentlemen. I have been going to this place for over 5 years and work near by. For the record the card has been cancelled and NASA is tracking where charges are being attempted from. Paul“

I ordered the special, a large pie with one free topping and you can pay for more toppings if you want and I got pepperoni and fresh garlic, it also came with a 2 litter bottle of soda, I got Barqs root beer which happens to be my favorite root beer. This pizza was so freaking good. They managed to keep the crust crunchy and airy and the bottom firm while having more sauce then most pizzas and the cheese and toppings nicely baked. My friend told me the pepperoni is all beef, and it was DELICIOUS! The pizza had substance while not being sloppy where everything slides off and that takes talent. “Stopped here for dinner before a show at the Starland Ballroom. Plenty of parking and a ton of tables. Has an old-school Italian feel to it. Huge menu with a lot of classic dishes. Served warm bread before the meal with the option of olive oil and butter. They had a peach sangria special that was excellent. I tried the lobster raviolis and was pleasantly surprised. These weren’t your typical store bought pre-frozen raviolis. No sir. Fresh made and stuffed with lobster. The chicken Murphy was enough for two people! Amazing. Rest assured, next time I’m at the Starland I will be stopping back here before the show.“
