“Tony's Open Kitchen is a great Italian addition to the neighborhood. I recently went to dinner her with a group of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pasta entrees were a hit and the Regolare Pizza was great (ohh.. that sauce). The service was fast and efficient. I ordered then eggplant parmigiana, which was awesome and a plentiful portion size. I liked the fact that it was not deep fried, but instead lightly battered and baked. The accompanying vegetables were all so flavorful and delicious. The complimentary bread was hot, fresh and tasty out of the oven. It's a BYOB, so that's a plus. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other entrees. Note: They charge 3% for using a credit card and will only do up to 3 credit cards per table. That created a bit of an issue with 10 people, since not everyone had cash on hand.“

“It’s always the little nook in the walls that have the best stuff. I seen this guy on TikTok an year ago and I live like an hour away and I said to myself if I’m ever in the area I’d stop by. Needless to say I got this job with public service so now I have the privilege to drive around to a lot of new areas and I got lucky to be near by. I was craving pizza I looked around, the highest rated place pulled up not expecting it to be Sally Slices places bc I had honestly after all this time forgot about him being in this part of Jersey. I pull up posters and pictures of this guy everywhere and I was so excited. I got the pepperoni one with and without hot honey ( his sister was in this day I didn’t get to meet Sally but she recommended the hot honey I said I’ll try one of them with it) and the first bite was awesome. the crunch on this thing was insane. I had to make a video and share it to my fiancé. I then went 3 more times that week while working in the area and it was consistently the same perfect crunch each time and I only got hot honey after that first time. The hot honey was this added sweetness that I didn’t know I needed on my pizza. I recommend it to a couple of co workers and showed them the video of the crunch and they thought I was lying when I said it’s the crispiest thing you’ll ever bite into. they live in the area and they stopped on their lunches and after work they said it was the best pizza they ever had, probably won’t be ordering from anywhere else they said.“

“Second time here and felt the need to write a review. First of all, we were a group of 25 ladies doing our bookclub. We got kicked out of the town library without notice for no reason and were desperate for a place to continue our meeting since people had come from up to 50 minutes away. I called La Piazza and they accommodated us last minute, were so welcoming, and turned our night around. The food was amazing as always too, love their pasta with vodka sauce (added grilled chicken for some protein). I didn't order dessert, but the selection was amazing and everyone who did enjoyed! “For a mom n pop pizzeria, Carmela's sure is one of the best NY style pizzas that I've had. We ordered a large size cheese pizza, along with some garlic knots/bread. The pizza came out hot n ready from the oven. The cheese was just stretching away and the sauce was robust. The dough itself tasted very good. We sprinkled some red crush peppers and garlic seasoning/powder. Mmmmm more and more garlic. And more garlic. And wait....even more garlic. The garlic knots were delicious. “I usually go to tomato pies every 2 months. The store is all the way from 1912! More than a century ago! Which makes me feel like i'm in a vintage store. Outside, there is a 2 doors in the front. There is a door for dine-in and another door for order to go or pick up. I personally haven't done dine-in but I always go for to go or pick up. Whenever I go, the staff is always so sweet and are always accurate for the time left. The only thing I dislikd is the time if takes to make the pizza. The pizza was delicious and stayed pretty warm when handed to me.“

“Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever had and immaculate service! I called ahead as they were getting close to closing time and they said come on in with no hesitation. They were beyond accommodating and the service was insanely fast. The bread and homemade tomato sauce that’s brought out is delicious and set the tone. I ordered the pasta alla vodka and my son ordered the gnocchi with Alfredo. Both came with a choice of soup or salad and the soup of the day was potato and bacon… to die for! The puffy garlic bread was also great! Both main dishes were fantastic and massive portion sizes. For dessert, the tiramisu and the lava cake were (again) amazing.
