“Used to be my favorite place and ordered river vale at least 2-3x per week but hadn't ordered for a long time until recently i had craving for their ox tail combo and Cuban sandwich. sadly no more ox tail and both puerco asado shredded pork dish and Cuban pork were so bland and dry and burnt with the pressed bread which was like a stale burnt roll with 1 or 2 pickles..thats it. was disappointed the puerco asado dish didn't even come with rice and beans as was used to be included in the past. and no phone number available to call and talk to someone. very sad because used to be one of my favorites and probably will not try again.“

“Great place! The chorizo tacos were really good, great portion and price. Their homemade habanero sauce was so good and spicy! My dad had the chuleta de cerdo with rice and beans and said it was also great so definitely check this place out. I was working in the area but definitely would make the 45 minute drive to eat here again!“

If you drink wine, know that their wine list is very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the mushrooms, stuffed pompano pepper, roasted chicken with vegetables, the shaved fennel salad and the fries.“

“Dominican breakfast is good, this is the first place I had ice coffee with cinnamon! Haven’t had ice coffee with out it since, the steak sandwich is good also
(If you left a low rating your a weirdo, this is a neighborhood store that sells Dominican food, it’s not a 5 star restaurant) I always come when I’m in the area and I’m black not Dominican but still enjoy the food“

“Fresh food, great prices, big portions.Empanadas anywhere in the BX are $2-$2.50. here they are $1. Everything here was priced more affordably compared to any of the other Dominican spots on 138th street and in the neighborhood. Big plates. Also, they cater to the blue collar crowd. Lunch food is ready by 9:30AM. Perfect lunch spot if you're a city worker, construction, etc.“

I went there after giving it a try one day when I was feeling lethargic due to traffic. There is always a lot of cheese in palitos de queso. The cachapa and patacon are also excellent.“

“Went there as I was catching a show across the street. Nice small place with cozy atmosphere. There was seating inside and outdoors. My wife and I started off with a chicken and beef empanada. The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.“

“Had the Mangu (3 golpes) and chinola juice. It was good not great considering the $17 amount. The portion was on the medium to large size considering it’s a Latin restaurant and they usually serve way more than enough for 1 person. The service was good, friendly staff with a smile.“
