“We came on a Sunday morning and there wasn't a line. The bakery is a little stand on Palisade Ave. We ordered the bombolonis and the mozarella/prosciutto sandwich.

The bombolonis were some of the best I've ever had (even compared to the ones in Italy) - they were fresh and the vanilla pastry cream wasn't too sweet but still felt indulgent. The donut was so airy and soft. The sandwich wasn't anything to brag about, it was underwhelming unfortunately. The mozzarella was very mild but the flatbread was good; the sandwich was definitely overpriced for what it was. Wish we tried other things on the menu but was in a pinch. I will definitely be back to try the focaccia and pizza options.

Also note that there is hardly any street parking options so be sure to plan ahead! They also have various Italian products for sale such as jarred sauces and dried pasta.“

“I’ve been living in the U.S. for 15 years and I still can’t believe I never heard about this place before. The baklava was incredible, and the syrupy dessert with clotted cream inside (I forgot the name) was absolutely amazing. Definitely one of the best dessert spots I’ve tried.“

“This is my go to Colombian bakery. I have been a loyal customer since 2012.
Their menu is limited if you are planning to dine in, however, it is quite reliable and consistent. It is pure comfort food.

If you are not that adventurous, I highly recommend their empanadas de carne (beef and potatoes) and pan de bono (cheese bread). Those are usually the favorites of any picky eaters that join us 😁“

“I am super impressed with this bakery! If I could give more stars, I would!! Our granddaughter loves macarons so I had the thought of ordering them for her birthday. I turned to google to find a company that would ship them. I was a little behind the game and ordered them on Monday, late afternoon, for a Friday delivery. I wasn't holding out too much hope that they'd arrive on that day since they were coming from NJ and being shipped to WI but I placed the order anyway with the requested date. But guess what! They arrived on the exact date! Not only that, but they were personalized with Happy Birthday and even her name on some of them! Additionally, they included a handwritten note with my message on it instead of something that was just printed off. They really went over and above my expectations! My granddaughter said each of the flavors were so delicious! I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future. What a wonderful company! (oh! and a side note, out of the companies I found that would ship - Izzy's was the most affordable! BONUS!!!)“

“Love this spot for fresh baked goodies and sandwiches - we’ve been going here for 4 years now. I may be giving away a pro tip, but you can definitely order some breakfast sandwiches that are not on the menu. They bake their bread in house so everything is fresh and delicious. I also saw that they now accept card! They’ve also just added some new menu items - I tried the honey almond cheesecake cookie and it was really good.“

“Absolutely the best bagel there is. Each one no matter the flavor is a delight. And their food that they put on the bagel is delicious. Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. So I get tuna fish instead and it’s about as good as it gets. The staff is friendly and do a good job. What a place!“

“WOW! I have life long dairy allergies and recent celiac diagnosis and I am so happy with this bakery! Since Erin McKennas bakery closed in NYC I’ve been on a hunt for a bakery that meets my allergen needs as a lot of vegan bakeries are not also nut free or don’t offer gluten free baked goods. I got a cookie and some of the No Whey chocolates and my partner got a cake truffle and cupcake. The cookie was amazing and my partner said the cake truffle was really good too (they didn’t get a gluten free one). I am happy to know that I have a safe bakery that I can go to and recommend to my family. Will be going back here!“

“What a find! They use true Normandy butter from France 🇫🇷 for their croissants! Super tasty and delicious. The owner Meran showed me the amazing 500 square foot brick oven, that used to bake bread for Frank Sinatra back in the day. Love it! “I stopped in for some pastries and ended up leaving with so much more than just something sweet. The macaroons were absolutely delicious, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. You can really tell they’re made with care.

What truly made my experience, though, was Renee. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and just radiated such positive energy. She had no idea I was having a really hard day, but her attitude genuinely lifted my spirits more than she probably realizes. It’s rare to come across someone who makes that kind of impact in such a simple interaction.

Between the amazing treats and the even better service, I’ll definitely be coming back.
