“Swung by mid afternoon on 3/18 for a quick pick me up while biking to work. The barista was an absolute sweetie and made my iced latte to perfection! Those rum infused beans really are something, especially in the Coquito (personal favorite)Plus, this space is big enough to work in which is great in itself. Definitely will be stopping by again soon!“
“I don't live in NY, but when I'm there, I love to go to 787 because it makes me feel welcome. I usually have my coffee with nothing special, but my friend said that she had never had such a delicious cappuccino! Their cookies are the best as well, and Alejandra was very nice to us. Highly recommend!!“
“Energetic cute little coffee shop with boozy coffee options, which I couldn’t try but heard are popular. The barista is very friendly and informative. The place is clean and decorated. I only wish the music was a little less loud but otherwise a great experience.“
“The aesthetic of the shop is very cute and comfy. They make my favorite lattes but it’s also my favorite place to study. Baristas are all sweet and helpful, especially Macky he’s one of the best here at this location! There is also outside seating available for the nice weather days.“
“Wonderful place! The coffee was perfect and the empanadas were so tasty. A must stop for me for NY mornings.Special shout out for the guy who helped. He was very knowledgeable about their coffee and was helpful exploring the different drink options.“
“787 is a Puerto Rican cafe with multiple locations around the city. I've been to a couple now, and I love this place! This location in Soho is quite small - there's only one bench with a couple of small tables. They have so many unique drinks here, and they have different alcohol-infused coffee beans too. If you like their beans, they do sell bags of them, but just a warning that they are quite expensive. My boyfriend got the coquito latte, and I got the chocolate chip cookie. The latte was really good! It was sweet, but not too sweet, and the coffee flavor wasn't overpowering even though it comes with a double shot. I didn't know that it would come in a cute pouch, so that was a nice surprise! It seems like the iced drinks come in the pouch, and the hot drinks come in normal cups. I didn't have high expectations for the cookie, but this has actually become one of my favorite chocolate chip cookies in the city. It's a very thick cookie, and it has huge chunks of chocolate in it, which I love. We did have to wait a while for the coffee since there was a line, and there was only one person working there. But I appreciate how this place stands out from all the other coffee shops in the city, and it is now one of my go-to cafes!“
“This is my favorite neighborhood cafe; I've been coming here since the day I first moved into UWS and has been a regular ever since for over 1+ year. Great-tasting and beautiful coffee with a cool vibe, lots of seating area to get some work done (though there's no WiFI) and has a good food options as well.“
“Roast'd offers high-quality and fresh coffee, as well as friendly and excellent customer service. All of the baristas are professional and knowledgable about coffee - especially Edgar, who is so friendly and thoughtful, always going out of his way to make customers feel at home and enjoy their experience at Roast'd. Overall, a wonderful coffee spot in Bergen County I return to again and again!“
“The modern uprising cafe shop in china town. Their signature Pandan Latte is a must-try! The unique blend of pandan flavor with creamy espresso are great blend. Coffee taste is also very nice without too sweet and not overdominating the coffee flavor. Very interesting and unique menu blend, i would love to go and try other drinks again when i am in china town. Despite doyster st and chintown is busy, the service was quick for how many people were grabing drink there.Dietary restrictions: Alternative milk options, dairy free and decaf coffee“
“Soooo goood!!!! I've ordered so many times from here since I first tried it and it hits every time! The coffee is so tasty. The breakfast burrito is soooo yummy, the refried beans on it gives it that cali breakfast burrito taste. The bacon egg and cheese? Bomb. The pancakes? Fluffy and buttery and perfect. The waffles are great too. This place is a treat. 10/10.“
“Located on busy Broadway so street parking. Maybe have been lucky bec I usually get a spot when needed. Prices are good. Ube latte is a big cup at $5. Not too sweet for me. Chocolate croissant $3.50 was good warmed which made the filling gooey. Good space with small tables in front of the cafe and better in the back. Maybe could be cozier with dimmer lighting. Friendly service. Clean restroom available.“
“The place is very nice and very popular, we got a table, but it is difficult to find a free space. Normal, since the coffee is great! Really good! Although the girl who serves it leaves a lot to be desired, it seems like you are asking her for a favor, when you are paying for the coffee.“
“not to miss!it’s a lovely and well-located space. food was great (i only tried the salmon pretzel and it was delicious), coffee was fantastic.the only downside is that it gets very packed and there’s way too little sitting space, so don’t count on eating in:)“
“It was nice meeting you Anthony, thanks for chatting with us about coffee. I loved my mocha and Tony enjoyed the Ecuador pea berry, very tasty. You have a really nice coffee shop and coffee offerings. Hope to keep in touch and visit again.“
“AMAZING coffee! An unexpected treat! These guys know what they are doing. They roast their own beans in house!!! Cappuccinos and lattes were heavenly. Cool vibe and warm atmosphere. Go support a local family business and taste the difference!!!“
“The barista is AWESOME. She's going to work with you, no matter your coffee interest and knowledge, to make you feel seen and valued. I'm a huge coffee nerd but my friends aren't and we all had the best coffee experience from a fabulous pour over to a delicious maple latte. Please go here and appreciate an awesome coffee artist.“
“Came for the coffee, stayed for the Arepa. Food service is a bit slower for a coffee shop, but the staff makes up for it with their service. Music is lively but not over the top. Obviously, top Spanish hits. I've passed by this place so many times. Glad I finally made time to check them out. Will be back.“
“Coffee was exceptional! Best we've had in New York. The Barissta, was friendly and genuine. One of the highlights of our New York holiday was meeting Marcella - one of the locals, a legend, an incredible woman who clearly is a beautiful and enigmatic soul. Loved it all. Grateful and thankful to you all.Loved Harlem❤️“
“Excellent espresso and priced at $2.75 which is as close to Italy prices I've ever found in NYC. Also the "drip" coffee is actually a pour over. It was fragrant, fruity and delicious. Lastly if you order to stay you get a glass/china cup so you don't have to throw anything into landfill.“
“The espresso is excellent: clean, well-balanced, perfect crema, dark and nutty but not too acidic--so creamy and rich. The baked goods--croissants, cookies, biscuits--fresh, crispy, delish. Atmosphere is too nice for a coffee shop; cozy, warm, well-designed early 1900s period feel that fits this area of BK. The service always awesome. I visit often.“
“This place serves delicious coffee and chai lattes. I've visited multiple times to try their new offerings, and each time, I've been impressed. Their baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, taking great care with each customer's order. As a result, the taste of their coffee surpasses homemade brews and the coffee from typical cafes. Additionally, they sell coffee beans, making it convenient for those who enjoy brewing coffee at home. The location is somewhat secluded from residential buildings, turning this spot into a hidden gem in the area. Moreover, they offer coffee training courses for those interested in learning more about appreciating and crafting coffee.“
“Lowkey spot in the Horizon Media building. They brew a Stumptown blend as their coffee and Black n White for their espresso. The drink was well-prepared but the blend itself didn’t have any notable flavors. Good vibe to chill with friends or do work.“
“Plain and simple coffee spot. Modern vibe and cool plants. They have decaf options which is nice. We had an oat milk latte and a cold brew and split a quiche. All were yummy and the staff was super friendly. They have a little vintage rack of clothes and cute hats with kinship on them. Dog friendly, kiddo friendly, in general happy spot.“
“I have passed this place hundreds of times. Today I walked in and found my new favorite place for coffee! They have alternative milks and gluten-free banana bread. Awesome tasting decaf! Run to this place! Can't wait to go backDietary restrictions: They sell gluten free loaf breads!!!“
“Hands down best coffee in NYCDietary restrictions: Vegan options, both for milks and treats. Non-nuts options.Kid-friendliness: My daughter is welcome to run around the shop. It’s still a roastery so not kid friendly in terms of baby proofing, but surely a wonderful place. Also parent friendly - there’s a window to order from the outside if you’re in a rush!“
“We came here for dessert the other day and this place was absolutely fantastic! We ordered a few options to share: Dulce de Leche Cheesecake - I am so picky with my cheesecakes, but this one was made to perfection. There was just a tiny bit of tartness, but otherwise filled with so much flavor Chocolate Raspberry Mouse Cake - Divine flavor and simply sublime. This has always been one of my favorite places to be able to go. Baklava - The baklava is a hit or miss here. We got the chocolate pistachio one. Unfortunately, the pastries did not taste as promising as they looked FYI, be careful when you come here for parking. It can get crowded. However, this place is perfect for some amazing take out desserts. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC“
“I love this coffee shop because the barista are friendly and helpful even taking your coffee up to the second floor if you ask. The coffee itself is excellent and there is an artistic flare to the place that shows that someone who runs this shop, has a real designing eye but there is a problem. When the weather approaches 32°F it is absolutely freezing in this small two-story building. The barista is obviously cold and for a customer it is borderline unsafe. Otherwise this is a great place.“
“I ? Buunni. Proprietors, Sarina and Elias, live in and care about our community. They are so much more than local successful business owners. They serve wonderful Ethiopian coffee and now fresh delicious Ethiopian food! They host neighborhood events and support local artists. Can't say enough about them and their cafe! Congratulations on earning a Nextdoor "neighborhood fave" award. ☕??“
“I came here with a friend for breakfast. Usually I come to grab a latte to go but we stayed this day. The place is clean and spacious, and has lot of seating area. It was a bit crowded as many are working on their laptops. They have free wifi.We placed our orders quickly and grabbed a table. It didn't take too long before they brought the lattes and the food. The service was quick and everything was very tasty. I ordered the panino al Crudo and the focaccia was crunchy yet soft, nicely toasted. The mustard sauce adds a nice favor to the prosciutto and provolone cheese. Highly recommended. My friend had the egg sammy combo with hash brown and drip coffee. She upgraded to a latte. Her feedback is also everything is very tasty. It is a great place to hang with friends or grab a quick lunch. I'll bring friends next time if they are in my neighborhood.“
“My first time at the shop. I went with my former roommate to catch up and was pleasantly surprised that there are still places in the city that have high quality coffee products and even higher quality service. The staff was friendly and professional. Coffee was amazing. Definitely the spot for a quick pick me up shot while on the way through a busy life as well as the place to sit down and relax, alone or with friends.“
“Good coffee, small place but always has a line. I have been tasting coffee around here and Blackstone is one of the nice coffee place. Price is a bit higher but you will get a good coffee, The cafe is dog friendly, so you can bring your dog with you while you pick up the order.“
“Visited Bed Sty just to see where my parents grew up. Neighborhood has gotten much safer and much nicer than in my day. This great coffee shop on the corner, just up the block from where my grandfather’s butcher shop used to be was a fantastic rest stop on this visit. The coffee was amazing, the staff was courteous and welcoming. All around great experience.“
“The granny apple fresh juice is amazing, as well as the gluten free beef empanada and the gluten free chicken+cheese empanada (they are made with corn) each comes with a Verde green sauce which is very flavorful.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“I used to 'live' at the Brooklyn Roasting Company in Dumbo, pre-pandemic, and was thrilled when a branch opened behind the library in Brooklyn Heights, 100 yards from my apartment. Even though I make coffee at home, I always head over to this cosy spot. Great coffee of course, with a good variety of sweets and savories, but I mostly go for the staff, who are out of this world patient and friendly. They are very kind when large groups of students burst in, as well as to the rest of us. It feels like an old-fashioned cafe, in that I have met people to talk to about books and art, and chatted with visitors from foreign lands (Denmark, Colorado, Manhattan :) ...Once again, the baristas and managers create a wonderful atmosphere.“
“While most of the coffee in The States is dark roast, I'm so happy to find Devoción as they provide variant of 100% fresh Colombia coffee with different tasting notes.Another special thing is Devoción only exists in New York! The one that we visited in Brooklyn was in York St. I love the dark blue color at the outside. The place is spacious with plant-filled space. It's comfortable to hang out or even working here. Not only coffee, they also provide tea. I also brought some of their coffee beans back home. My family loves it, too!Recommended coffee shop! ?“
“cute coffee shop. it’s giving slightly scandinavian vibes but doesn’t try hard. very kind workers with bright spirit. walked into the barista bonding with a customer over a mutual friend? or mutual location they share memories at? either way service was amazing and coffee was fine. a little expensive $5 for a black coffee? oh well. would recommend just to brighten up my day“
“Quick place to grab coffee. The coffee was delicious and I wasn't expecting a little latte art, but I got it ? If I was ever just chilling in the area, I can definitely see myself grabbing a cup and sitting there to work. The machine sounds are perfect if you prefer white-noise while you get some work done :)“
“If you are the type of person who professes to care about coffee at all, abd want freshly roasted coffee beans there is no better place to go in all of South Brooklyn. Third wave coffee shops have NOTHING on D'Amico's and you're a chump if you think that a coffee chain from Seattle sells better beans.Support this legacy old school local business.“
“Had Cafe Latte with whole milk, coffee is strong and perfect for my taste requirements. The lady in the store seems to be pro at her work and she has good knowledge on the tastes of diversified people. Her art on my Latte made my son so happy.Dietary restrictions: Option of milk is preferred.“
“No flavors!?* ohh because they are NOT neededStopped at Devocion on my way back to my apartment (as a tourist) and ordered a medium hot latte with a pump of caramel. To which the cool She-Ra wearing host replied we don't have flavors. OK I'll take a standard latte. They don't have flavors because the latte is so good you don't need any! Not only are the drinks good but there's ample space to work and sit down for a coffee or bring your laptop. While on the expensive side (hey it is Mew York) you can tell they use quality beans in their drinks and it's well worth it.I'll be back tomorrow or next time I'm in New York!“
“With the firm belief that one of the biggest virtues of a coffee shop is availability of seating, I reckon 4 stars is what this Devocion location deserves. Good drinks, fine decor, but wow is it a frustrating wait (oftentimes neverending) to get a seat. The Brooklyn location is a lot better on the front of seat availability for whatever reason. I feel entitled to write this review after generous tipping. Anyways folks please be warned“
“While on a quick trip to the city I stopped in for a refuel and I was not disappointed. What we got: My husband tried the iced ESPRESSO CREAM LATTE I ordered the iced EINSPÄNNER What we thought: Both lattes were so deliciously fragrant, and a perfect balance of sweet, bitterness, chocolatey and floral notes. I enjoyed it so much, I returned for another one on the same day! Understanding there are tons of coffee shops on every corner in New York City - this would be a solid Sunday morning choice!“
“Delivered here two days in a row, A little tight for a sleeper truck but was able to make it happen. Guys here are fast and friendly the owner gave me two 100% Colombian coffee cans fresh off the press to take home with me. Will always be willing to deliver here in Hoboken! -“
“I'm a regular customer here. Nice little place right next to the taco restaurant. Staff is really prompt and efficient, and their coffee is really great. They have a pretty nice play list of music on the background great ambiance for a little coffee break in the middle of a day, or while you are waiting. Chek them out!“
“I am a coffee fanatic - so I judge harshly. This place rocks. I've been a few times. The coffee is outstanding (I drink double espresso, no fillers) but I've also had the teas... which you would think were just water and a tea bag - but they must do something special - and the yummy muffins and cookies! So - yeah, this place rocks.“
“I’m from Michigan & my husband found this coffee company online. We ordered it & it’s so smooth & delicious. So when I planned a trip to NY to see my favorite band perform twice over the weekend, I bet I made a trip to see them in person & stock up. Highly recommend Gotham Coffee if in town or to order online & ship to your home. Diner Coffee is perfect when you just need a great cup of Joe!“
“This place is amazing, and the best kept secret for amazing coffee and beautiful ambiance in the area. Their coffee is honestly delicious as is their food, and I'm super picky about coffee. Big windows, beautiful natural light, quiet street, super friendly and attentive servers. Comfortable seating with tables. My 5 yo son and I come here all the time and I also often do work here. Kind of afraid to spoil the secret but they deserve to be loved by everyone as much as I love them!“
“I was in town staying with a friend in the building, every morning I would walk downstairs and grab a cup of coffee and breakfast snack, I really enjoyed the flavor and attention to the detail the service representatives gave me, highly recommend!“
“We stumbled upon this place, realizing it’s a place we were years ago. Service is still great, coffee still amazing. No flat white on the menu, but the Cortado is equally delish. Oat milk they serve is Oatley. And today, our take away coffee was made with a bit of extra love, see picture. Thanks guys, love it.“
“Its the coffee spot in WholeFoods. It’s a great spot for coffee, maybe the only one walking distance in the area and the quality is good. Problem is that WholeFoods isn’t operating it fully, so the shop closes at 3p…! Otherwise, a great spot to stop for coffee along the water.“
