“My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place! We live quite far but have friends who live nearby so whenever we go visit this is our go to spot! I always get the fish tacos which are absolutely bomb everytime! I also recently got the wings and they were also very good; crunchy yet juicy. Recommend eating in as food is always best when eaten freshly made, or if you’re nearby that works too. However, I went last year while it was snowing and took a bus back home, food was still as good as always!“

“Super unique meal! We love love loved the food here and really enjoyed everything we ate. One star down because another patron was clearly over-served and was being rowdy and loud, but was still getting drinks and none of the staff asked her to be quiet. When I’m spending this kind of money, I would have liked the overall atmosphere to be a little less like a frat party.

But back to the food - we hadn’t heard of many things on the menu but we were feeling adventurous and so glad we did! This is your sign to try things without googling them. Just trust this chef - they know what they are doing. Our favorites were the whipped mackerel and lobster tostadas. Both were so fresh and clean and light (but still filling). Good portion sizes for tapas style. Beautiful plating. Really fun and unique meal!

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. “Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“
