“For a $1000 meal I expect flawless service and unfortunately that was not the case. Drinks ordered during dinner arrived while eating desert. Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.“

“A Steak Lover's Paradise: Strickland's Steakhouse Our recent holiday dinner at Strickland's Steakhouse was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped into the elegant dining room, we were greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service. Eva, our server, was truly exceptional. Her extensive knowledge of the menu and daily specials made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. The appetizers were a delightful prelude to the main course. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The steaks were the highlight of the evening. The Japanese A5 Wagyu was a revelation - tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. Every bite was pure indulgence. To top off the meal, we indulged in a variety of delectable desserts and rich coffees. The perfect ending to a perfect evening. Strickland's Steakhouse is a must-visit for any steak lover. The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and elegant ambiance makes it a truly memorable dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning in the future.“

“if you like good food this is the place to go. We had a little bit of everything. Highly recommend the cheese and meat board and the gnocchi is amazing. The winner of the night was the tuna and don't skip dessert. We will come back.“
“Last night I had the opportunity to visit Mezcal with my family to
celebrate my daughter’s new job. I had wanted to try it after reading
all of the outstanding reviews. It did not disappoint! When you walk into the
entrance, you see beautiful decorations for the Day of the Dead Holiday.
The Marigold Arches were works of art. We were greeted warmly by the
hosts and shown to our table. This is a very attractive restaurant and it is easy
to see why so many photos end up on social media. The “walls of fire” at the bar
was a very cool effect and fit in perfectly. Our server was Danny
and he seemed to be born to be working at this restaurant. Great enthusiasm
combined with professional expertise about the menu for cocktails to dessert. Our group had an assortment of drinks including Old Fashioneds (the little skull on the toothpick holding the garnish was a great detail), “Soon to be Famous” cocktail and frozen Espresso Martini. All of them were perfectly executed. Appetizers included Oysters,Sashimi, Octopus, Crab Cake and one of the best beef tartares that I have ever had. Entrees included Rib Eye, NY Strip, Halibut, Pork Chop and the Spinalis Experience. With this wide assortment of both starters and entrees, we got a chance to really see the talent of the kitchen. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Great job! Not only was our server Danny attentive to our group, management (Alessandro) came around a couple of times to inquire if everything was perfect; it was. Desserts included Churros with banana gelato, a lava cake (both delicious) and a bit of fire. During dinner, you’ll notice a tableside fire show going on during dessert service around the restaurant. Danny enhanced our dessert experience with a bit of controlled fire “magic” that only added to our celebratory evening. It was a great night. Mezcal lived up to the great reviews!“

“Outstanding craft cocktails and delicious food! I only wish I had found them on my first night in Rahway rather than my last. I would have been here every night…“

“We chose La Colina Mexican Cantina in Warren NJ to celebrate 3 birthdays on 4/5/25. We were a party of 12 & tried a few of the beautifully crafted cocktails that were out of this world and so tasty we had to order more. We began our feast with a couple of platters of Nachos El Gordo that were huge and absolutely delicious and went perfectly with the chosen wines, margaritas, and assorted cocktails our family ordered. The cocktails were of the beautiful quality that we've only seen on TV during cooking shows or restaurant series. The edible flowers and the smoke emitting drinks were amazing. We were served by a wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive waitress. She was able to answer every question and had plenty of patience for our crowd who were amazed by the menu. Especially the "Smart" menus that detail each item at the flip of your finger. What an upscale & impressive touch that is. After we ordered our entrees we enjoyed more cocktails and had some time to talk and enjoy the unbelievable decor that seemed to have an endless amount of thought and class put into the decor of this authentic Cantina. The service was beyond excellent and our meals came out hot and enticing and as pleasing to the eyes as it was to our pallets. This was authentic delicious, beautiful meals that made the party seem like were were enjoying fantastic Cantina style food right in Mexico. I highly recommend the burritos, enchiladas, the Mexican Caesar salad, fajitas and I'm sure that rest of the menu has to be outstanding if everything the 12 of us had was that delicious. Besides the wonderful service, drinks, food and authentic atmosphere, topping the celebration off was when the owner came over to our table , introduced himself and made sure everything was as fabulous as possible. Believe me it was. Then the Head Chef came out and asked if everything up to our expectations to which we all agreed this place out did every single Mexican restaurant we've ever been to. I highly recommend La Colina in Warren NJ and I know you won't be disappointed in the food , atmosphere or the service. We surely will be back !!!!“

“Being allergic to gluten makes dining out extremely challenging. I can finally eat a friend chicken sandwich again and it’s an amazing feeling! Not only that, but the gluten free bun and breeding are amazing! Thanks so much for giving a darn about a forgotten part of the population.“

“Drove from Cleveland to a meeting in NYC, specifically had a layover in New Brunswick, just to have dinner. This was my second trip for dinner in two months and it exceeded all expecations, the hoilday decor transformed the second floor. The service (Regan) was on point, pleasant and efficient with out being over bearing. The meal was the single greatest pasta dish I have had in the U.S. (wild boar ravioli) Already making plans to return, if you are with in a days drive, you really have no excuse not to enjoy a meal with them.“

“This is the first 5 Star restaurant we have found in NJ since moving in 1991 from Manhatten. Four of us went this past sunday evening. Everything was 5 star, including food; Niavh's (Irish name pronounced as Nieve) service; and the personable manager, Dave. Gorgeous wood and glass. Great Ambience. Easy to park. Could not be happier!“

“My first time going was today for the start of restaurant week to celebrate a friends birthday. Although there was only one woman working the bar and trying to take care of tables alone (she was very pleasant and was doing her best) I still enjoyed my time there. I must say the special three course meal was outstanding for restaurant week. The roasted pear and arugula flatbread was outstanding and should be added to the regular menu. The entree was great and the crème brûlée dessert was exceptional. Chef Shannon came out to talk to us as we were the first customers for restaurant week to try the special menu items. He created the dishes and we let him know everything was delicious. My only complaint was they needed more staff on hand to be able to keep up with the amount of patrons.Someone finally came to assist the young lady who was working alone but she could have used two additional people when they opened. will prolly b bck again before the week is over for the special before it’s off the menu.“

“Food was great drinks were great. The service was lackluster unfortunately I don't know if the person was new but we ordered a bottle of wine they brought it to our table open which is not customary. And poured the wine directly into a carafe without us checking the bottle. Service at the end we were handed a bill We were not asked if we wanted dessert or anything of that nature.“
