Not only did I reheat it after work and it was delicious, but I ate it for lunch the next day, too, and still really good. “I was visiting the area for a concert and I was really nervous about trying a random Chinese food place. But I would come back to Newark for this food! Everything was really good and compared to CT prices, super affordable. Chicken wings on point, lo mein really good, rice was great. I would definitely recommend. Heads up, it’s a cash only place.“

“Finally discovered a good Chinese restaurant in Elizabeth, since I use to live in Newark I always ordered in Newark; but now this place is really good, fresh food , very quality and price, but is better order and pick up them Uber eats…..Uber eats are very high in taxes and services fees plus of course the tipping that the driver deserves.But is away more economic to go and get your food them delivered“

“I don’t do reviews often, but this Chinese food was so good no lies. It came hot and fresh, tasted good not overly salty!! This is definitely my new Chinese spot when I’m around. My delivery driver could have been a little friendlier, I gave him a tip and he didn’t even say thanks or anything… this is why people don’t tip delivery drivers because they are usually rude… But whatever lol.“

“My family has been ordering from Happy Palace for a long time. They do not disappoint and the food is so good. They have almost never messed up our order, and on the rare occasions that they have, they would have a replacement at our door really quickly. The food itself is always good, my personal favorite is the sesame chicken. The owners are very sweet and always make sure that my order is made well. Sure, the wait can be a little long at times, but that mainly only happens when they are super busy (mainly Friday and Saturday night). My family moved out of Elizabeth a few months back and have not been able to find any Chinese food as good as this in our new town. When we want Chinese, I make the 20 minute drive to Happy Palace and the food is always steaming hot when I get home. I highly recommend!“

“This place was a pleasant surprise after being stranded in NJ due to a fiasco with a missed flight. We were starving and ordered this via GrubHub. It came hot and tasting fresh. Even the veggies had a little crisp to them and the cashew chicken had excellent flavor. Totally recommend, and decent prices to boot!“

“Been coming here for well over 10-15 years. This is my go to Chinese spot in Elizabeth. Decently priced, and good food. I usually get the fried chicken wings, which are nicely sized, and very crispy if you ask for them well done. Broccoli is crisp and delicious, and the brown sauce it comes in was delicious.

Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some Chinese fixings.“
