“1st time in establishment and was very excited to try out a local Domincan Restaurant. Restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was reminiscent of a typical latin restaurant but feels to be more of a lunch/take out spot. Menu has your basic hot and cold sandwiches if you are not looking for something authentic. The rest of the menu has latin dishes and daily specials that are broken up into their combos small medium and family size. The portions are quite large . I ordered the pernil / salad/ and arroz con gandules ... flavor was spot on...two to three people could have honestly split the combo ... overall I would go back to try other dishes but would be sure to split the combo ...“

“I can't give a full review because it was my 1st time visiting the establishment. I can give a review of what I ordered & of the person that served me. Everything looked & smelled good. The person who served me was kind & friendly. I had the picadillo with white rice, sweet plantains, a fried yuca fritter, & a side of beans. It all was very tasty, with the exception of the fritter. My only qualm was the pricing for what I ordered. It came to $29, including 2 bags of cheese doodles.Would I go back... Yes. Everything looked vibrant & fresh... I wanted to try EVERYTHING.“

I have very high standards for sweets and I loved everything I tried here. My favorite being the Alfajores. My husband and I had a lovely date night here. “We went on a Friday night. It was quiet. Seemed like mostly family dining. Definitely feels like a nice family owned, neighborhood restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the garlic shrimp appetizer and for our entrees we had the churrasco and fried pork chop. The chimichurri sauce that came with the steak was so good I could probably drink it! I thought the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Will definitely be back!“

“The $12 daily lunch special is a fantastic deal! According to my waiter they are under new management as of last week. I was in town, visiting from Morris County to see the nearby Labor Museum. I loved the rice, chicken, and plantain most, they were delicious. Please be cautious however because there is a 15% tip automatically applied, and they do offer a lot of extras like drinks and stuff to see if you're interested. Nevertheless I really enjoyed the place. I think would make a good first date type restaurant, or out with the family, and I felt comforrable eating alone at the bar. Although it was empty when I came on a Saturday afternoon.

“My wife and myself were at Latin American Restaurant in Boonton, NJ. We are from out of town looking for home cooking, let me tell you, this was the most delicious food we've had since we've been here. The restaurant is clean and the owner stayed and talked to us for a long while. I had the steak smothered with onions, salad, white rice, black beans and maduros(sweet plantains). You get large portions, my wife took her left overs to the hotel for later. My wife is a very picky eater and she loved everything that was served. The staff was great and we felt very comfortable taking our time with our dinner. We surely will be back before we go home and will recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.“

“It was my first time trying a chimi sandwich and I was impressed it is basically a Dominican burger with coleslaw. The chimi is well seasoned and toasted to perfection. The chicharron Mofongo was really bad however. It was dry and greasy. I really liked the chimi but the Mofongo is not good at all.“

“I love coming here! It's super eccentric and there are several unique paintings of the city (made by local artists and are for sale)! The food comes quick, and even when it's super busy there is never a long wait for a table. I have had a few different breakfast and lunch items here, and they never disappoint.“

“The food is great. However there’s some of the girls that’s been there for years that have a stank attitude and don’t pay attention. It’s like they know they won’t ever get fired, so they do what they want there and no matter what I tip them every single time… Every time my friends, family and I go is always the same. I feel like the new ones are always nicer and more helpful. Sometimes the bathroom be out of paper or dirty. Also, there’s never parking so be careful getting ticket or parking too close to the fire station.
