“This place is fantastic!!! The pasta was to die for! The lamb pizza I’ve been thinking about since I’ve eaten it! The only hiccup was that they were short staffed in the kitchen so we were there for a very long time AND my husbands steak was over cooked. “Comfortable, casual, but classy atmosphere. The service was very friendly and happy to explain any dishes that we weren't familiar with. The food was amazing! I wish I took more photos. We started with the babaganoush and tablouli salad. My husband had the lamb kebab and I had the chicken kofte. Everything was so flavorful and tender. I have no idea how to spell the dessert we shared, but it was like a non-crunchy creme brulee. SO GOOD, light and refreshing. Highly recommend this place.“
“We were a party of 3 for Easter dinner, our first time here. It was packed but the friendly and competent staff was able to accommodate a table change for us to a booth which was much appreciated. Our sewer was friendly and informative. The menu has wonderful options. The tuna tartare appointment was big enough for all of us to enjoy without filling up too much so we could enjoy our perfectly cooked lamb loin and scallop entrees. Desserts were sweet and delicious and the presentation was brilliant. I will steal the idea for my next dinner party!“

“I really really really like this place. I ordered penne (a form of pasta) with butter alongside my family, and I love this place very much. The penne is beyond the term exquisite and the butter with it was amazing. I can only say the downside is the physical appearance and even then I like it. It's a little cramped and it's relatively hard to navigate when with a group even though the place is small, but I genuinely love this place very much. Overall on a scale of 1-10, I'm giving this a 9.7 due to the small inconvenience of small size it that's what happens when your located in a strip-mall. Thank you for your service and food!!“

Alan is a top notch waiter and German is a first class bartender/front of the house who does an excellent job of interacting with the patrons. We were sorry to miss Carlos, one of the best in the business. Our meal was a 10/10, don’t miss the firecracker calamari. My wife had the filet and loved every bite. The grilled marinated hanger steak was cooked to perfection and their scalloped potatoes are the standard by which all others should be measured. Truly superior restaurant, highly recommend.“
“The lobster bisque in a bread bowl was delicious. I don't know where they get their bread bowls but mine was perfect. Warm and crusty on the outside but soft and yummy on the inside.The mocktails are new since our last visit and the mojito was the best I've had so far at a restaurant. Francesca made us feel as if we were dining at my home town in Italy and the food was amazing. She is the best. Most experienced waitresses in the industry. Would recommend Axton's to anyone. “We moved to Bloomfield 7 years ago and I've seen this steak house all the time but never tried it out..... I wish we had went sooner!! Not only was the service excellent, different waiters and waitresses checked up on us periodically as well as our own waitress while we dined. I had the rib eye no bone (excellent and evenly cooked) with fries and my wife had the filet mignon with cream spinach. We had the empanadas for an appetizer and they were delicious. And for dessert, the chocolate brownie sundae..... Delicious!! The prices are probably the lowest of any steakhouse we've been too in NY/NJ and we've been to quite a few. “It has been awhile since I’ve had Ethiopian food so it was a treat to finally visit Mesob for a birthday dinner. We arrived at 8pm and there was no hesitation from the staff to warmly welcome us in. Although it took some time for our order to be taken, the waitstaff was friendly and respectful. Since we warned in advance on the menu that our order would take about 20 minutes, we just relaxed and enjoyed the vibe in the restaurant. Though the entrance is small, there are plenty of tables inside and roomy. Well, the food was wonderful! I had the meat sampler that included veggie sides and my partner had a lamb dish. We decided to have both our orders on a huge platter for sharing. All of it was so flavorful and, frankly, it’s fun to scoop the food with the injera, which is like a sourdough pancake like (but not) flat bread. You really have to try it to understand what it’s like. The lamb dish was especially delicious as the meat was tender inside and crispy on the outside. Honestly, everything was so good and there is so much of it. We took leftovers home although not the injera that was underneath the veggies and meat, as it got soggy. Oh, they give a separate plate of injera for the scooping. Definitely was worth the visit!Parking: Go to the side streets for parking and it’s free in the later evening.“

“I was there last night 3/30 to have the Whiting and French fries. At first I was very disappointed when I realized they didn't have anymore of this special "pink sauce" that tastes amazing. I got it with the soup, a cup of lobster bisque, very pretty but I didn't capture a photo. I wouldn't get the bisque with a sandwich again because although tasty, it's very creamy, very heavy and it filled me up so I couldn't enjoy my sandwich as much. Next time, I'll combo the beverage. “As a patron of the Tenafly location, I wanted to try the Montclair locale. Parking isn't great around there but we managed. The cocktails were good. There was a grilled octopus plate served with a salad as an appetizer and it was delicious! Most of the entrees were seasoned okay but nothing stood out. One of our 5 dishes came out wrong but corrected within 5 minutes. The original dish was meant for another table and we got the correct plate quickly. Noise level was normal for a Friday night. Very nice ambiance - decor wise. Would return.“

Three different steaks were ordered along with the chicken Parmesan, and a lamb that was the daily special. Nothing disappointed.
