“No frills, throwback diner. Both in the ambience and the prices, which seem frozen in the early 2000s. Cash only, often with a line this is a local institution that's worth visiting if you enjoy crab benedict. Our little ones also like the French toast.“
“All you could ask for in a diner. Good food at a good price with a good staff. Never had a problem with this place and I've been going with my family since I was a kid. It was renovated recently fixing the sole problem I used to have with it being a little sad looking. But now it looks great on the inside.“
“Caldwell Diner is a solid pick for diners in the area. It has a cute interior. Service is always good here. I've been here a few times for breakfast and dinner and it never disappoints. Most recently I was craving disco fries and tried Caldwell Diner for them and they did not disappoint. We also got the Cheesecake which was mind blowing. The waitress said they make the cheesecake onsite. Anyway, it was a cheesecake even the Golden Girls would die over. Other times, I've gotten one of their salads and still haven't forgotten about it. This is a gem of a spot.“
“Great experience ! The service by the young lady was superb, the food was spot on (made just how I wanted with no ifs or buts) and the place was squeaky clean (including the restrooms). Very comfortable Environment and lots of parking. Really enjoyed my dining experience. Would highly recommend !“
“Super friendly servers. Went alone and was offered a seat at large hightop with another group, because it had an outlet for my laptop. The other folks were nice and left me to my work. Mushroom goatcheese omelet was awesome, as was the toasted rye bread...I think they bake all their own bread. Will definitely go back if I'm in that neck of the woods again.Kid-friendliness: There were at least two toddlers sitting with their moms who did well.“
“Wonderful service, outstanding food! It was either the Manager or Owner was super friendly: We ordered DoorDash and had a small issue with the delivery, the lady went out of her way to make things right when we called. My son AJ had a competition in the nearby area, and it was perfect for a quick dinner or snack! The interior, food, and service was excellent!! We definitely plan on returning.- Monica + AJ“
“I did not know it was a landmark unless I met some old folks. The Spa has been offering comforting home-cooked meals to its customers for “over 55 years” but not sure why, it is not as popular as it deserves. With its welcoming, homey atmosphere and retro vibe The Spa has always been a well-known gathering spot for locals. The Spa is in the center of a small strip mall right off North Beverwyck Road.We came here for brunch, and 80% of their customer base is above 50 Years...We ordered-grilled and chicken omelet - a perfect blend of omelet and chicken.French Toast and pancake comboThe food was great with local flavor. The owner makes you feel welcome and they are cute :)Ample seating booths, parking, restrooms - everything is there.“
“Wow! I am so impressed and want to say thank you. Seriously this place is an absolute must!! Not only was our server kind and fantastic, the food was phenomenal and memorable!Care and grace are so clearly defined through this space. It is a rare gem in today's world of just having food on a plate, it really felt like a meal from a family table.Thank you so much for taking care of my family, and we will be definitely adding this into our future NYC trips! Also everything was so clean, lots of parking and REALLY the world's best coffee! It comes with a five star recommendation!!!Vegetarian options: Such fresh food and lots of delicious veggies breakfast items!! Even a lovely Greek yogurt parfait and fresh fruit. Delicious!Dietary restrictions: We have egg allergies and seafood allergies for our group. Both found very safe and satisfying options in the menuParking: Great for trucks or cars or bikes. Seriously stop here!!!! Get food :)Kid-friendliness: Incredibly well behaved kids and awesome waitress!!“
“The Waverly is the definition of no frills. Menu on the wall, servers also cook, and booths as hard as church pews. However the food is good and it comes quickly. And for heavens don’t say a Taylor Roll is like Canadian bacon, not if you want to get out of New Jersey alive. Now my regular breakfast stop in Madison NJ“
“If you are in need of a quick bite, but you don’t want to stop at the gas station I recommend coming here but just be prepared to have a bit of a weight if you’re gonna have something for takeout.Parking: There is also street parking if you cannot fit in the parking lot“
“Not sure if this is a mom and pop diner but I'll tell you this, the food is absolutely fire. I had the Meat lovers omelette and a side of the challah bread French toast and I don't think I've ever had French toast like this. It's so delicious. My date had a salad off the keto menu. They were attentive to her tree-nut allergies and the service was courteous and timely.“
“First time coming here since remodel. The new atmosphere and remodel is amazing. I love the new set up and everything. However the service wasn’t that good, our waiter barely came to the table to check on us and forgot about some of our food. The food wasn’t entirely bad, it was flavorful but a little dry.“
“Park Wood Diner is the first restaurant my family visited when we started fencing in Maplewood. They have expanded their hours over the last year, which makes it incredibly convenient to pick up sandwiches for dinner after practice. We also eat here with friends on weekends, and the breakfast combination platter of pancakes, bacon, eggs and home fries is extremely popular.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the extremely large menuDietary restrictions: You can find a variety of options to fit different diets.Parking: There is a free parking lot around the corner from the main entrance.Kid-friendliness: Very, very kid friendly. There are large booths and a variety of seating areas.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp from the parking lot into the diner.“
“Great place for breakfast/brunch. Very busy every time I've been but worth the wait. They have a bar you can seat yourself if there is a spot and parking is a nightmare but they do have overflow parking a short walk away. It's an adorable place reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland type decor. The staff is friendly and service is pretty prompt even when hopping. My daughter has had the cheese blintzes and I've had the Arepa Benedict and the Godfather omelet. Everything is always delicious. They have lunch and dinner type selections also and serve cocktails after 12 noon. It has fast become my go to stop on my way back to PA from NYC. Be patient, be kind and you won't be disappointed. Even the landscape is whimsical with statues of children playing hidden all around the castle like building.“
“We visited The West Essex Diner on a bustling Sunday morning, arriving around noon. Despite the crowd, we were seated within a brief 10-minute wait, which was understandable given the rush. However, the dining experience left much to be desired. I ordered a classic breakfast featuring sunny-side-up eggs with a side of steak and home fries, accompanied by toast and coffee. My friend opted for a western omelet paired with French toast. Disappointingly, the French toast lacked powdered sugar, and despite requesting jelly, our waiter seemed to disappear. The food, unfortunately, was rather lackluster, lacking any distinctive flavor or appeal. While the service was initially prompt, our waiter was notably absent after serving our meals, only reappearing when we requested the check. It was then that he offered more coffee, but by that point, I was already ready to leave. Overall, the experience felt ordinary, and the food failed to surpass what I could have easily prepared at home with more flavor.“
“Absolutely Spectacular Service and Amazing Food! The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Our waitress, Dorthy was absolutely spectacular and very genuine! The food was quick and absolutely delicious! If you are looking for that 'small town homey' feeling in a diner, this is the stop for you!“
“Def one of the best gyros I’ve had. I got the Greek fire gyro. Very good and huge. My only complaint which I never said anything was I had the matzo ball soup and there was egg shell in the matzo ball. It was gross. Hate that. Need to pay attention back there. Also pricey.“
“This, Diner has been here for more than 20 years. It was our first visit. We were greeted with a bright cherry hello! Our server was friendly and efficient. The prices are amazing! Everything is so expensive after the pandemic but at The Ridgedale Diner the prices were great! The place is clean! I had a cheeseburger deluxe, and it was good. Not great but okay. The french fries were the skinny kind. Not my favorite. The pickles were excellent! And we liked the coleslaw. My husband had a waffle, and he liked it very much! We're coming back to try more things!“
“Busy place. Variety of options. Great serviceParking: Limited free parking is available on site. On a weekend, the next best option would be to park in the Millburn train station parking lot, which is less than 5 min away by walk. As a last option, one can choose to pay and park in the parking garage, diagonally across the diner.“
“Hadn't been here in over 10 years but I was meeting someone special and decided to go back to the Prestige. The waiter was prompt and cordial. The fix was really good and plated well. They were courteous and thanked us. Very good and the prices were better than most.“
“Nice staff, friendly waiter, and enjoyable food. We had some soups to start, then some breakfast items, and added some sides like bacon, etc. Everything was good. Prices were more reasonable than some other diners we have been to so we would happily go back another time we are in the area.“
“Went here with my husband while traveling. Fast service and good food. Pricing was what was expected. We both decided on a pretty standard breakfast with great sausage. They do a hard scramble so just be aware when ordering. The desserts look amazing. Very cute atmosphere overall.“
“I've only gotten food to go, but the soups, wraps and sandwiches have been delicious. My only complaint is being asked if I want to leave a tip..maybe? But being put on the spot is awkward, and I feel inappropriate, and my $8.88 small soup then becomes a $10 or $11 expenditure, which is too much, IMO.“
“The food was top notch! Best onion rings, phenomenal!! Best batter around. The burger was a generous size, done to perfection and on a fresh, soft Kaiser roll. Tara, our server was very attentive and she was such a great worker. It has a local feel and even had an outlet along with built in usb charging ports.“
“We came to this spot for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The crew were very polite and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Keep it up.“
“First time going to Paul's Diner. We ordered, French toast, French onion soup, corn chowder soup, Trenton deluxe burger and the meatloaf sandwich. What we would go back for is the meatloaf sandwich and French onion soup. Both were excellent!!! We would also back because of the service, our waiter was Andrew. He was very friendly and took our whole order without writing it down! We have a three year old, we asked if he had a paper plate for him to eat from, they did not but he came back with two other options for us to choose from. As a parent I very much appreciated that. We will be back very soon!“
“A standard NJ diner experience! We enjoyed our abundant, tasty salads. The waitress was very accommodating; she helped us change to a more comfortable table. They also offer quality rye bread that we can't get in Massachusetts as well as gigantic and yummy linzer tarts!Parking: Conveniently located off of route 10.“
“Arrived for a little breakfast for our first time.Nice speedy service with standard customer service. Has a nice home-y vibe yet Diner style.Tried Stacks of Oreo Pancakes ? and man they were delicious ?Had a side of Bacon strips? and Buttered Toasted Bread ?The food was of quality and service was speedy. Definitely recommend this for a quick Breakfast bite, and will be happy to return to try more of the menu.“
“Nothing fancy here. Just good Greek diner food. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is friendly and prompt. Wonderful pancakes with good crispy bacon. Home fries and pea soup are especially very good. Everything is made fresh each day - potatoes are peeled in the kitchen for mashed and the vegetables and meats are all prepared daily in their kitchen. The diner is family owned and the family is always there. It's a Summit staple and hopefully will continue to stay for many more years. And, oh yes, you can purchase liter bottles of imported Greek olive oil made by the owner's brother back in Greece. I only buy my virgin oil there. Two bottles at a time. You can return to refill your bottle (s) as needed.“
“Great place. Very friendly staff. Despite being very busy, were seated in 5 minutes despite being told it would take 10 minutes or more. The food was very good and came out quickly. Had breakfast food today. Looking forward to coming back for lunch in the future!“
“Very delicious food, good portion sizes. I got a Mediterranean omelette with gyro meat, hashbrowns and french toast. The staff was very friendly & the place was clean! I went for breakfast during the week, the crowd was mostly lively seniors.“
“Very pleasant team working there. My server was very kind, polite, and kept my drink filled. I had the turkey club triple decker with fries, which was really good. The fries were perfectly crisp. I would recommend you take a visit if you're hungry.“
“Morristown diner brought a delicious meal to me and my daughter. The eggs and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and very delicious. Corn beef hash out of this world and the fried zucchini with. Tomato sauce was outstanding I want more fried zucchini! Our server was quick and attentive. He had a great memory didn't even have to write anything down. I highly recommend this restaurant if I lived local I would order for pick up breakfast luncheon dinner.“
“Food was good for the price. My husband had the bison burger, and I had the pastrami panini (except pita bread was used which I thought was odd) - both decent portion. Our waiter only checked on us once. It was busy on a Sunday. It was understandable so I gave him a good tip anyway. The ambiance is like any other diner. :) We will most likely go back in the future.“
“Located in the quaint town of Madison, NJ. We had a party of 3.Food: Disco fries were good, but have had better. More gravy would have made them excellent. We had them as an appetizer ($8.25 for a large). We had Alpine chicken sandwich, turkey sloppy Joe, and a BLT. All were good with a sizable portion. Classic diner food with a broad menu.Service: service was attentive and polite, however, nothing over the top.Atmosphere: clean seating area with booths, tables, and counter service. Bathrooms were clean too, to me “clean bathrooms “ say something about the kitchen cleanliness ?♂️.Summary: great place to have a business meeting or lunch with a friend. Sits in downtown Madison, so you can walk around town and check out all the small shops.Parking: Parking available in the rear of building“
“I got the an omelette and it was very delicious. The server was a ginger woman(I didn’t get the name). She was very nice and was often checking up on us seeing how the food was. She food was all very good. And I had a great time dining here!“
“Nothing is worse than a breakfast sandy that's 80% bread and 20% BEC. Well, FPD did NOT disappoint. After a night out, all I wanted the next morning to revive my soul was a turkey sausage EC sandy. I didn't know where to go, so I tried FPD for a change and their sandy was PACKED with sausage, egg & cheese and the flavor was good too. Cured my hangover. 10/10“
