“Wow wow wow. We’re so grateful to find this gem!!! This is some darn good Chinese takeout. The eggplant ? in garlic sauce is super fresh and well cooked. The shrimp in lobster sauce is nice sized plump juicy shrimp ?. Fresh bright broccoli ? w the chicken dishes. The littles ate two orders of dumplings ? too!! So refreshing to find quality. “Came here for a quick, Sunday homestyle breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere is unique, to say the least, but also gives a lot to start conversations amongst the table. Serving portions were superb and food was very tasty. I have seen other comments and reviews that were very negative and nasty, but everybody can have a bad day once in a while. They were complaining on the service and owner/waiter being rude and yelling. I've seen more positive ratings than negative ones. While not everybody has the same humor, people can definitely be some Debbie downers. All in all, we had a nice experience and enjoyed the food. Ihop who?? Lol will def be back!!!“

“Loveeeee this diner. Came from Tom's River passing like 10 diners along the way but the reviews were so tempting I had to try. Totally worth it. The place is jumpin like diners all once were. The entire staff from start to finish were all fast paced and pleasant. We had mozzarella sticks, French onion soup, turkey dinner, chicken Marsala, and a breakfast sandwich. The only part of my experience was we were leaving for vacation the next morning so I couldn't take home my leftovers and the portions were so great I could have made another 2 meals out of them. But now that I'm home we can't wait to go back.“

“At my visit to the Band Wagon Diner, the service I got was 100x better than what I expected. The waitress was extremely kind and provided really amazing service. This is truly a hidden gem of a restaurant! The food came out fast and was mouthwateringly delicious. I got the Chopped Sirloin w/onions, which is a Wednesday special. Not only was it just a steak it came with soup, salad, mashed potatoes, spinach/rice mix, and a dessert where I picked their rice pudding. The ambiance of the restaurant was sleek and modern with very nice, extremely clean restrooms. Overall, there was amazing service, atmosphere, and bathrooms. “First time picking up food from the Fire Pit Grill, won’t be the last time. My husband and I met Steve (the owner) who was an absolute delight to speak with. We ordered the Giants Platter with ribs, chicken, garlic shrimp, fried plantains and rice. It was delicious and the portion was large enough for the both of us. My husband said it tasted like a home cooked meal. Fair prices. Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“We've lived in Bayville since 2015 and tonight we tried the Trenton pie from Shady Rest for the first time. How did it take us nearly 9 years to find the best pizza in the area? The thin, crispy crust. The generous and flavorful sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. Hot and fresh, right from the oven. “Came in for an early dinner with my son. We arrived at 4pm. By the time we left there was a wait, and it's obvious why. The food was so good. The wings were delicious, and cooked perfectly. I recommend EVERYTHING about this place... now back in the day (late 70's) my mom used to call it the "dirty diner" and I can tell you for certain, it is anything BUT. They keep this place clean and well maintained and it's a joy to visit. Solid diner food, you couldn't ask for better and decent prices along with people who treat you like you're there every morning for coffee and a roll. I still don't understand the Chili-Applebee-Friday set, the people who love their garbage chain 'food'... but here you get food that tastes like it was made by someone who really truly loves you... probably better than your mom's and it is always worth stopping. Please shop/eat/support real local business, it will always be worth it. In this case, you don't sacrifice ANYTHING for eating here, you get great food, you get treated like you belong and at a decent price, too.“

“We (a party of 4) had dinner last Thursday (3-7-24). We decide to select our dinner choices from the fixed-price menu being offered that evening. EVERYTHING was wonderful. In reading the other reviews, they truly reflect our own dining experience. This is going to sound a little weird, but I have found this to be true. If the restaurant proprietor (as in this case) provides a restroom facility that goes beyond just clean and tidy, I believe the same attention to detail carries over to every aspect of the restaurant, from food preparation to presentation. Truth be told, I used the facility early in the evening. I can’t speak to what it may look like at the end of a busy summer Saturday service, but its condition would reflect more on the customer comportment. Final note, I’m about an hour away, but it is well worth the drive. GREAT RESTAURANT!“

“My family and I absolutely LOVE Mimmos Pizzaria. Anything you order is out of this world!I order things like mozzarella sticks just to get a little cup of the sauce. It is so darn good! One of my favorite items to get is the garlic knot grilled chicken with red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. I think we have tried just about all of their pizzas and I can't pick a favorite on that so can't answer that question. Ha ha ha very clean, very friendly. The staff is always on it. This is one of those businesses that genuinely care about their customers...one quick story on how good they are as people in general, my father-in-law passed away Christmas Eve a few days later..two trays of food showed up at my house that we did not order, we couldn't figure out where it came from. No one was claiming it & it wasn't paid for. It was fairly pricey, but Mimmo( the owner) refused to let us pay for it! He gave us the two trays of food, and asked nothing in return! This is why family owned small businesses are what should be running this world instead of large corporations that don't care. They will always be our number one Pizzaria. Best around! (That's also coming from a New Yawka haha -NY).“

A little weird that they had Spanish music outside the restaurant, but indoors, you felt like you were in a techno club.
