“Great Food but even better Service. My server Kevin was extremely attentive and made the experience well-worth. Highly recommend this place to all my friends and to anyone - wanting to have a wonderful meal but even better service. Top-Notch and Professional. Must Visit.
Update: I had to come again and the food again once again was spectacular. The must gets are the Konban Corn Ribs and the Ebi Katsu (the shrimps were huge and tender as well as fried to golden perfection). I also highly recommend the Niku Udon (fresh bouncy homemade noodles with a pure clean yet flavorful broth and melt in your mouth tender beef chunks). The servers were also another highlight. My server was Kevin again and he brings the 5 stars food to a 7 star experience. No matter if you're a local or visiting. Konban is a must visit.“

“Wow wow wow!!!! I was so blown away last night for a late dinner at around 8pm. It was super quiet inside only one table on the rooftop when I arrived. I ordered the KFC cauliflower wings and maiitake mushroom steamed buns and the special mazemen. Everything was SO flavorful I mean every single bite I took had flavor and I was so full from having three dishes to myself. The yuzu lemonade was also so good as well. I haven’t been back here in five years and now I’m going to come back on the regular. All the dishes were decently priced too not overpriced like the rest of the neighborhood, I love supporting local small businesses and can’t wait to come back and try the extensive brunch menu!!!“
“The service was lovely, Bonita was so kind and helpful, and the food was delicious. I really loved the selection of desserts in the secret box which was a fun way to try new desserts I may not have ordered otherwise and the Penang duck curry was amazing“

“I wouldn’t call Katana a dive bar, but on a Tuesday night it felt like a great neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Was surprised at how small it was but that added to the chill vibe. I bet on a Thirsty Thursday and the weekend that all changes, but the bartenders and the craft cocktails will be just as great.“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“This felt like a super authentic experience and the food is DELISH. Spoon sushi is a must, the presentation is so fun. I loved how many soba dishes there were to choose from. The matcha parfait was also insanely good for dessert! Our server was so friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back soon.“

“The waiter was very polite and kind.
The food was authentic Japanese cuisine, but the portions were quite small. I should have asked for white rice when the baked fish was served.
I think this restaurant is especially good if you enjoy drinking sake.“

Beer selection is ok but I had two decent ones which for me is good. Drink menu is fun, something for everyone. Super busy on weekends, go early. Great food, fun place! “Such a great hidden gem for lunch. The space is cozy, aesthetic, and thoughtfully decorated — it has that perfect “hole in the wall” charm while still feeling cute and welcoming.
I ordered the lunch special and got the Thai basil fried rice with shrimp, along with soup and fried chicken, all for around $17, which is an amazing value for the portion size. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned.
I also grabbed a Thai iced tea to go for $6, and it was the perfect addition.
The service was attentive and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I didn’t feel rushed at all, which I really appreciated for a solo lunch.
Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy and affordable Thai lunch.“

“Stopped by this gem for the first time today. My friends and I were looking for a spot in the neighborhood to grab a quick drink after brunch, and this place popped up. If you enter from the street, the entrance is pretty easy to miss, but the interior is such a vibe. It reminds me of those late-night casual bars in Japan and Hong Kong. I love the records they have everywhere.
The menu has some really unique drink options, and I love the Asian-inspired flavors in them. The drinks were delicious and definitely strong. The staff is also super friendly, from the host to our server, Tirzah, who is such a vibe! She’s super sweet, attentive, and has such a fun personality.
I would definitely visit here again the next time I’m in the area and try their other menu items, cause their food looked good too. And hopefully Tirzah will be there.“

“This Cambodian-Japanese place is well crafted with very unique and classic dishes as someone who grew up in Japan. The vegetarian curry with katsu tofu was incredible and the Peri Peri tofu lunch set is delicious. Great service and well kept and run. Will go again because I have tried the vegetarian ramen before and it was amazing, diverse toppings and great umami flavor.
I went again and got the tofu katsu sando which was amazing.“

“Go here!! My partner and I had one of those unforgettable New York nights at Sip and Guzzle. Our waiter at Sip went above and beyond, the drinks were extremely unique and the Wagyu steak will stand as possibly the best sandwich. Period. The whole Sip and Guzzle team clearly cares about everyone who walks in their door. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to go again!“

“This is a fun little bar that mainly emphasizes table seating over sitting at a bar. Reservations are recommended but we were able to sit/stand at the bar which was accommodating for our party of 4
Drinks are great as they have a decent variety of sake and some Japanese whiskey, which is why we came here. We ordered the Houou Biden Sake which is a junmai daiginjo which is always a good sake to choose. We ordered some highballs, shishito peppers and fried shrimp wontons. This was good enough for us to keep drinking but have a snack as we go
The vibe is great as there is a live DJ that plays old school records which is what attracted us to this place in the first place. Definitely a great place to grab some drinks and listen to some good music while eating/drinking a few Japanese oriented drinks/snacks.“

“Anyone who lives in the neighborhood knows of Zest Sushi and their HH specials. This is their sister restaurant which is a ramen restaurant. The food is good for a neighborhood restaurant, I’m happy to see that they also offer sushi at this location now (came when they first opened and they didnt have). Decently priced with good portion size. Good for a quick meal especially on a cold night for a nice both of ramen. Id recommend if you’re ever in the area and looking for something soupy but would not recommend commuting 30+ minutes for.“

“It was just chilling, eating my food then I saw a giant elephant yapping about Joyboy and I saw this loney tunes ahh character fighting a dragon, also i saw red lighting from some huge hill with a skeleton head on it. Tbh the food was good since it was served by some blonde chef with a curly eyebrow“

“Absolutely loved AI KI YA Japanese Hot Pot. First time experienced the Japanese hot pot. The sukiyaki was excellent—high-quality beef, rich and well-balanced broth, and everything tasted fresh and comforting. Dipping the beef in raw egg made it even better.Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a very satisfying overall experience. Definitely one of the better Japanese hot pot spots in the area.“

“this place is such a gem! amazing service and ambiance — always playing the best music
ive gone once for late night snacks and once during lunch service. its always easy to walk in and get a table — im surprised it isnt more popular hence why im writing this!
takowasabi is some of the best ive had. definitely leans on the saltier side, if youre okay with that
would skip the okonomiyaki..
for their lunch specials, the creamy cod roe udon was decent and portion was HUGE. like twice of anywhere else ive gotten.
the curry udon was also very generous, but could definitely use a lot more seasoning.
for lunch, they also serve yubu. these lean on the sweeter side, and portions are also HUGE! we got 4 and employee was so sweet, saw us debating for a while which to get, and gave us 2 extra
think the lower popularity is due to the somewhat hidden location - hoping this spot gets more foot traffic and sticks around!“
