“Our family visited the Wok N Roll to host a pre-Christmas Dinner on the Sunday night before the holiday. We chose the Wok N Roll because they offer gluten free dishes (which are not marked on the menu, you must tell the waitress of any allergies when ordering) and a diverse menu from standard Chinese food dishes to sushi, Thai and Japanese food. They could accommodate seating for 23 people for dinner. The Wok N Roll does not offer a private dining room but could host us at two large round tables by their front windows – with 13 people at one table and 10 people at the other. We had a waitress assigned to each table and they did an excellent job of managing the dinner. Often going beyond the menu to meet the groups needs. Wok N Roll is located in the Cooks Landing at Jackson strip mall along North County Line Road/North Cooks Bridge Road in Jackson. (When informing guest make sure to give them the address. There is another Wok N Roll in the Jackson Premium Outlets.) This was my first visit to the Wok N Roll and I though it was a nice cozy family friendly restaurant. It has an attractive upscale interior and offers a mixture of large round table seating (with a lazy Susan at each table), booth seating and smaller rectangular table seating. There was a wide screen TV tuned to CNN. What we liked most about the Wok N Roll is how flexible they were with their menu and managing our dinner. We booked dinner at Wok N Roll for 3PM. Since we had guests coming from as far away as the Poconos and New York City many of our guests arrived late. The restaurant was willing and able to work with us – they did not rush us to get started or rush us through the meal. We also wanted to allow each guest to choose their own meal rather than ordering family style for everyone. The waitress was OK with this. They offered us the choice of family style with 4 or 5 pre-selected dishes at $20 or $25/person; or order individual meals off the menu which includes their dinner combination meals. We requested to have two or three separate bills at each table- by combining as many as 4 meals on a bill. The waitress was OK with that also. We especially liked that the Wok N Roll menu offers a list of 4 course dinner combination meals for their Thai and Chinese foods where you can choose a roll appetizer (egg roll, shrimp roll or spring roll), a soup (egg drop, won ton, won ton with egg drop, chicken with noodle, chicken with rice, hot and sour), a rice dish (pork fried, white, brown rice) and one of 26 different entrees from a list that included two Pad Thai dishes. All for the cost of $14.95 each. In addition Wok N Roll also provided foods that were not even on their menu. Someone at our table asked if they had chicken wings which does not appear on their menu. Our waitress said yes and was able to supply them. Another person requested french fries which also does not appear on their menu and they supplied them without hesitation. Later the same person asked for catsup for the french fries and our waitress responded “ that as a Chinese restaurant they only have duck sauce and do not carry catsup.” But a few minutes later she returned from the kitchen with a small dish filled with catsup. I ordered from the dinner combination menu as did most people at our tables. I ordered the Hunan Triple Delight with a spring roll, won ton soup and pork fried rice. My spring roll was delicious. The rice was a little mushy but was good. Triple Delight meats and vegetables were delicious. Others at my table ordered the General Tao Chicken, Pad Thai Shrimp and Triple Delight. We had two gluten free people at our tables – a child and a adult. For the child we ordered chicken on stick and a side order of broccoli. The adult ordered the Pad Thai which she said was good, but she has had better elsewhere, but Wok N Roll is much closer. She shared the broccoli with the child and raved about how well it was prepared - crisp and delicious. We had a really fun time at the Wok N Roll. The food was good. During the downtime between placing orders for our meals and after dinner was done“
