“I have ordered from this place numerous times and have never been disappointed by their pizza. I am writing this positive review, however, due to a recent order that had to be cancelled. Due to circumstances out of their control, the restaurant did not have an item that was the main reason for this order. They were very friendly and professional when they called and understood my reason for cancelling the Grubhub order. Still, I will certainly be ordering from here again...and again. They have a great variety of specialty pizza slices and their prices on entrees are incomparable. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“We catered about $800 worth of food from superfood for a family&friends event and everything was a hit. People rushed to take leftovers home! They also gave us service of Large assortment of korean pancakes and I loved that! All the food is so well seasoned and so fresh. Bulgogi Beef, spicy pork, spicy noodles, fried chicken, kimbap, and more!! Definitely will be catering from here forever.

“Really enjoyed the food here and it was so good. We got the pork cutlet which was really crispy and the portion sizes were huge. The bulgogi kimbap was really juicy and practically melts in your mouth. The pricing was really fair and the total was about 40 bucks. The food came out fast and it was really fresh.“

“I went to PS 26 across the street from the pizzeria from 1988-1994. Went across the street for lunch on Fridays. The pizza used to be sooo good. Haven't been there since 1994. I wne to JHS and moved from Fresh Meadows. I was told by a friend it tastes the exact same from childhood. I decided to give it a try. It absolutely did taste the same. My boyfriend loved the grandma slice. I didn't go in so I cant speak for the customer service but the pizza was perfect. So nostalgic. I will be back.“

“Pretty good bulgogi bowl. I ordered for delivery and the presentation of the food in the bowl shows that they obviously care about how their food looks as much as they care about how it tastes. I think the portion size was fine (the bowl may look small in width, but it was actually pretty deep). I had enough to have leftovers twice.“

“My favorite part is the neighbor sitting on the wrought-iron rail of the tree guard outside D’Angelo’s, setting his transistor radio on the ground and listening to play-by-play sports commentary while holding a smartphone.

The pizzeria has been around so long that it has become a beacon in neon green at night. During daytime, the brown-colored awning has a print of a chef in bright whites; he seems to be twirling a pizza, also in day-glo white. The two items seem to meld as if in a gooey white blob: is the chef the topping on the pizza!

The pizza is nothing to write home about—you wonder if pizzerias make their own sauce and dough, or if they are outsourced from elsewhere and assembled at the store. It’s a pizzeria which is also a “restaurant” that offers pasta and salad too; Where is the focus here?

Are they becoming everything to everyone, and instead becoming nobody to no one??
