Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!”

“Hands down the best hole-in-the-wall restaurant I’ve ever been to! You walk into what feels like a cozy dive bar, but when you ask to sit in the dining room, they take you through the kitchen to the back—and wow, it’s like stepping into a hidden gem packed with memorabilia everywhere you look. I didn’t even know where to start taking it all in!

The owner personally went around to every table, greeting everyone and chatting with us about the history of the place—which alone deserves 10 stars. Every single dish we tried was absolutely fantastic. The baked clams were massive, and the garlic clams in that buttery garlic sauce? I could honestly drink it with a spoon. Then came the steaks—perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

To top it all off, the chef came out to greet everyone too and asked how everything was. It’s such a rare touch that made us feel like family, like we’d been regulars for years. And for the kids—there’s even a fun little scavenger hunt, which is such a cute idea!

If I could give Charlie Bloods 20 stars, I would. This place is full of heart, history, and seriously good food. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Best Italian bread around and very reasonably priced in my opinion. Italian pastries are delicious also. Even if you don't live too close by there, it is worth a trip every once in awhile to get really good bread especially for Sunday gravy/sauce. They are open many hours so it's very convenient.”

“My family and I just recently found out about this place, even though we live only a mile away. Locally, the major pizza giants are PizzaMania and Santoni's. They have large variety and good pizza, but theirs seriously pales in comparison to the pizza from La Bella. All the components here are fresh and top quality. Whereas in most other pizza places, the meats, bread or veggies may taste bland, the one made here really showcases the taste of every component. The key is product quality, which in mine, and my family's personal tastes is simply superb. To be fair, we only tried the "Specialty" pizzas so far, but since this one has many toppings already, I'm sure the taste of these toppings transfers just the same to other pizza combinations they make. And the pizza bread is so tasty, fresh and crunchy, I can't remember the last time I ate pizza this good, if ever. We don't often eat pizza, but this may change now with the newly discovered gem in our area. We're astounded this place is so little known. We wish them the best, prosperity and fame, because the taste of their pizza is just amazing. Though I hope increasing quantity will not impact quality, or this would be a great loss for us all.”

“From the moment you walk in, they are handing you samples of soup to open your palate and stomach. Everything is flavorful and the portions are excellent for the price. “In New Jersey, it’s really difficult to find appealing vegan options. This shop blows every other option in NJ out of the water!
The pizzas are delicious, my S/O and I have tried the buffalo, BBQ, pepperoni pizzas and the garlic knots and they are all so delicious!
Most of all, ever since going vegan, I just came to terms with the fact that I would never be able to have a good calzone ever again. The VEGAN CALZONES HERE ARE SO DELICIOUS and they are HUGE!!! You have to try them! And I am sure that the non-vegan options are just as delicious as it’s not so easy to have a good vegan menu but they have it down pat! I should have written this review a long time ago and for that I apologize!
The owners here are so sweet too. They are great people! Please try something from here you won’t regret it!

“This is a real Italian cafe nothing fancy good cappuccino and cornetto with cream and one with apricot I tried .People are nice & friendly very relaxed atmosphere. Reminds me of Italian cafe in Italy?? The girls Masiel & Yendi who work the counter were very friendly and helpful. They play Italian cards in the back and the front has outdoor seating to sip your expresso in the sun . Its on a busy street so parking is a little difficult but worth it to come just park on a side street .They do not have food here just Italian coffee , cold drinks and cornettos which are like croissants ? with cream or fruit inside.”
