“The reviews are all true . This is real deal Italian neighborhood food ! Homemade soups, cold sandwiches that don’t cut corners, hot subs done properly, liquor available, and genuinely good service from a family-run spot planted in one of New Jersey’s strongest Italian communities.
The power move is the steam table in the back. That’s where the nonna cooks whatever she felt like winning with that day.

“Have been getting food from Late Night for years. Lucky they are local to us to get food when everyone else is closed in the area. The pizza is great but they also make other dishes. They are super nice and if able to customize an order they do it no problem. They usually have specialty slices Ed gets very creative making delicious combinations. My husband has reviewed you before but what prompted this review for me was the outstanding chicken francese slices Ed made for us last night. So so good! Omg truly amazing. Thank you!“

“Wonderful! The hero was so good. Nice and soft bread and just enough of everything on it. I had that with the pasta salad. All very reasonable pricing and everything looks really delectable. Can't wait to try their vodka sauce and calamari.“

“Courteous, family run business! Their sauce is made fresh, everyday. And it tastes like it! Wow! I've been to so many different acidy sauce "heartburn" pizzerias, throughout the Bergen County area, and I always need Alkaseltzer, after eating their burned sauced foods. It's terrible, how they reheat and overcook their sauce. But, not this one! This place is the best! By far! Absolutely no heartburn! I have tried many menu items, too. I've been frequently going there, over a year now. Their food is more in the lines of what you'd expect to taste at a fine Italian restaurant. Certainly, not a common pizzeria. Pricing is great, too! This place and the staff of employees, along with the new owner and his kids, deserve every bit of (5) stars! The absolute best around!“

“Had a hot grilled chicken on a roll, lettuce, tomato, Italian dressing. Friendly and fast service. Great sandwich. Also got a packet of chips. A few two seater tables inside. Was my lunch stop during jury duty. Just 2 minutes walk from courthouse.“

“Every time I come here the food is good, I haves introduced it to a couple of people and they all love it as well!! “I'm 67 years old now but when I was 9 years old my mom was a waitress at the Lido. Frank and Ellen were the original owners at the time and I would go to their house and play with their kids. I used to drive the cooks crazy, I'd walk into the kitchen and watch them cook. I used to dance in front of the mirror in the lady's room. I would sit at the bar and bug the bartender for maraschino cherries. Wonderful memories and I'm so glad to see that the Lido is still there serving the same food they did 60 years ago! Family atmosphere, great memories.“

“The #1 and the Chicken, Eggplant, or Meatball Parmigiana Sandwiches are literally perfect on every level. Expertly sliced, sized and also very fairly priced. The Daily Homemade soups are great as are the Daily Specials. If I lived closer I'd eat lunch here daily. Cash $$ only.“
