“You have to remember that when you dine in a Michelin star you will be paying a big price for tiny portions. So all that aside the food itself was truly amazing. You must get the gnocchi fritto. The bread is pillowy soft, not greasy at all and pairs so well with the salty proscuitto. I was most excited about the uovo ravioli and tbh it was a bit disappointing but I think this was just a personal preference because of all accts it should be a perfect dish. You need to be prepared to go all out because otherwise you will leave hungry.“

I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. We came at 5:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy at first, but all the tables filled up as the night went on. It's a smaller restaurant but the ambiance is very classy and the decor is beautiful. You can just tell the food is going to be good when you walk in. We got the burrata and garlic bread as apps - both were really good but the garlic bread was my favorite! I got the short rib pappardelle as my entree, which was delicious and very fresh. They also have a nice wine menu to choose from. I don't remember which wine I got (it was a white wine on the happy hour menu), but it was really good! The service was also great, and our waiter was very attentive. If you're looking for an aesthetic restaurant that almost feels like being Italy, this is the place for you!“

This was not a problem, however we are pretty sure we had the manager take our orders. Without disclosing names... I will call her "E." E was magnificent! She gave great recommendations. The review is a bit delayed, but the experience was so memorable, particularly their risotto, which was the best I've ever had. I’ve since tried risotto at other restaurants, but none have lived up to the standard set by Ai Fiori.We opted for the four-course prix fixe menu, which was a journey of exquisite flavors. Along with the standout risotto, they prepared an exquisite chocolate box that I had ordered as an extra surprise for my wife. It was beautifully presented at our table when we arrived, making for a lovely and thoughtful gesture.The dinner, while a bit expensive, turned out to be an excellent deal thanks to our $100 hotel credit from the AMEX Platinum card.
