“Me my wife was running errands in Jersey today And we were hungry so we Google bagel places and K&A Bagle Cafe popped up. So we check the reviews real quick and they came up pretty good But after today I don't think they're truthful reviews lol.... Because I order raisin bagel with sausage, "NON melted american cheese on it , Compared to the place I go in philly it wasn't really appetizing to me And my wife ordered the hangover bagel that was mediocre special compared to the price/ half fast made sandwiches .So my review is two thumbs down for this place !!!“

“I come here with my family pretty frequently on the weekends to get bagels and they're always delicious (our favorite is the everything bagel - it's so good). Did catering this morning for teacher's appreciation week and had a HUGE order - was frankly not going to be surprised if something went wrong, like something left out or for it to not be ready yet, but nope - it was a perfect experience. Everything was ready to go. They took a few extra seconds to grab the cream cheese since they had kept it refrigerated to ensure it was still cold, and everything was organized, ready to go, with nothing missing. Fantastic experience!!!!“

“This is the best bagel place in Philly. We tried some of the others in the city, but had to come back for our final breakfast.
The price is affordable and the food is amazing! Fresh bagels baked, with a soft warm center, a little crisp and chewy on the outside - filled with the yummiest thick schmear!!! It’s just perfection!
The staff are friendly and happy to have you. Service is quick, and a simple bagel bar atmosphere. When I’m back in Philly - I’ll be back! So many great options - try one of everything!“

The manager, Luis, is incredible, he’s clearly on top of everything and makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. It’s rare to see a spot run this smoothly. Highly recommend! “The bagels were delicious and the schmears were generous! We got breakfast here two days in a row, because it was so good! I ordered on toast tab and immediately got a reward that I used for the next day. The drinks we ordered, including a chai tea latte, a Matcha latte and then an ordinary black tea and coffee, were all made correctly & available as stated when we arrived for pick up. The restaurant offers five or six tables inside. There was only one four top, but we lucked out in getting it each time. Would definitely return the next time we’re in Center City!“

“I order at the Bellmawr location often. The Bagels are Very Good and even warm. My granddaughter calls me and says "Pop, will you please stop at Beck's for me and get Bagels". Of coarse I can't tell her no. She loves them also. The ladies who work there are also very nice and thankful for my business. “I visit Schmear (formerly Fitzwater Bagel) at least twice a week and have been for the last 5 years. I will wake up with cravings for their breakfast sandwiches. I always go for a BEC with a hashbrown added. My partner gets the scallion cream cheese and is always impressed with the quality of their cream cheeses. On top of that, the women behind the counter running it are always so kind and accommodating, and very efficient with the way they roll out the orders. Geneva is a bright ray of sunshine and remembers me every time I see her. I've never been disappointed with my order - in fact, I'm about to go grab some breakfast from them right now!“

“I previously had stopped coming here about a year ago due to the subpar customer service and inconsistent product quality (think literally a bare smear of cream cheese on your bagel and a rude older woman who didn't like her job).
However, I recently heard that the place was under new ownership and thought to give another shot since I literally live down the street. I was very pleasantly surprised. Firstly, they got new furniture thats actually comfortable. The food was excellent too. Eggs cooked to perfection and a good amount of cream cheese. Staff was friendly and efficient. Coffee bar was upgraded and the milk now is kept refrigerated so it isn't just sitting out and is kept cold. Hash brown was cooked on fresh oil. So much better than before. Glad we have another place we can go in town again!“

“This cute coffee place was right across the street from our hotel. They honestly had the best lattes in Philly while we were visiting- so smooth and creamy. “Spread Bagelry on 20th has been one of my neighborhood breakfast spots since 2017, and it never disappoints.

Before coming here, I’d never really experienced Montreal-style bagels, and now I absolutely love them. The wood-fired finish gives them a slightly crisp exterior while still staying chewy inside, and they’re equally great as breakfast sandwiches or with schmears.

I usually order the sausage, egg, and cheese. I think the technical “standard” sandwich on the menu is bacon, egg, and cheese, but I’m a sausage guy. Add a coffee or juice, and it’s a perfect low-key breakfast.

The setup is excellent: indoor seating, outdoor tables, quick service, and enough variety to make it feel like a true breakfast spot rather than just a bagel counter. The staff is always warm and helpful, and they feel like true Philly locals. You can tell this place was built with love.

Spread also complements places like Kismet really well. Philly’s lucky to have both. Different styles, different vibes, both excellent.

My appreciation for this place even pushed me to visit St-Viateur in Montreal after seeing it featured on Somebody Feed Phil. That trip made me appreciate Spread even more because these bagels absolutely hold up. There’s also a great Philly episode of the show.

Spread offers fair pricing for consistently excellent food and is a reliable neighborhood staple. It's great seeing them continue to expand around Philadelphia. Highly recommended!“
