“We did a Sunday Funday at cake and kitchen. The food, service, and atmosphere for all perfect. Our waiter whose name was Colin was excellent. We highly recommend this location for cool drinks and a great menu.“

“First time I’ve ever been here. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. That was one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had! The taste was out of this world. Even the bun was incredible. I live in another county but this diner is worth another drive up! Absolutely five stars!“

“Love the vibes and the people. Chef sounds like a great person, is passionate, and is interactive. Love the concept of focusing and showcasing local ingredients. So 5/5 for vibes and concept. 3/5 (maybe lower actually) for the food. From a technical perspective, everything was cooked properly, just not super exciting. It was like nice homestyle cooking. Felt like stuff my mom used to make growing up or like a menu that you would have if you got together with friends for a potluck or Friendsgiving. The wine list by the glass was not great. My 50/50 martini was solid.

3 drinks between 2 people along with the tasting menu and 1 $27 add on of rabbit pasta and with tip was around $350 for 2 people. You just expect a little more at that price point. Still a good time and nice to check it out once.“

“My wife and I have been going here for 8 years, each time we’ve gone it’s been a wonderful experience. The food is terrific, the menu changes all the time with unique ingredients that makes each visit a new visit a new experience. The staff is wonderful, always going above and beyond to help you understand the menu and feel welcome. One of the best bargains in the city for quality/quantity of the food you get, I’ve never been disappointed and I don’t think you will be either.“

“We had reservations for 5 people at 730 pm Wednesday May 21 after a graduationpp. Peter was our waiter and made our evening a true celebration. The food was incredible, the service attentive but not intrusive and the atmosphere perfect. We will return to this gem.“

“Had a great time here on a Thursday Happy Hour (4-6). Live music started around 5. 10$ mixed drinks, 6$ craft beer, and 8$ wine. The calamari and burrata were delicious. The wagyu sliders were also spot on. Huge bar, and friendly bartenders, we'll be back“

“The food was okay, we got bolognese, shrimp/ crab cakes, burrata and the “mozzarella”. The crab cakes and bolognese was VERY bland. The crab cake just tasted like an omelet and the bolognese had no flavor and was very oily. The best things were the appetizer, I wasn't expecting the mozzarella to be cheesy since it's vegan, but i definitely wasn't expecting it to have a bread texture. The burrata caprese was our favorite. The service was not the best, server came by 3x, once to take our order, then to drop off my drink and the check. The brunch food and service is a lot better than dinner.“

“Went with a friend for a last-minute reservation after another restaurant didn't work out. They got us in despite being quite busy, and the service couldn't have been better. Food was amazing - fresh and sizable enough portions to be filling even for traditional seafood. The heirloom tomato salad was amazing and the small plate sampler was perfect sizing with shrimp, scallops, crab legs and oysters.. Will def go back, and glad to have found such a great new spot!“

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. “We loved the cocktail (Johnny Two Step bourbon cocktail and a special made blueberry margarita). The cornbread and bone marrow were yummy and the special salmon. Burger and meatball pasta were wonderful. Our server (Mamadou) was wonderful, gave great recommendations when asked and super helpful. I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

“Yards represents a great story of a local business that does well enough to expand and grow. The location offers a great variety of food as well as the iconic brews they're known for, in an open, though sometimes loud, environment. Parking options aren't great if you're not walking or Ubering, but it's the city so that's to be expected. That said, I was so happy when they took over this former commercial space and transformed it a few years ago and demonstrates how successful their brand has become and not just in the Philadelphia area!“
