He even made a comment about that! We waited at least 20 minutes. I though I saw our platters but they insisted it was an doordash order!! It seems like IF Yr NOT a regular U WAIT Till they feel like waiting on U!!!“

“I know seafood establishments are popping up all over the place now, and I can say I think I've just about tried every one of them. I must say this has been one of the best ones that I've had thus far. The crabs' legs were fresh, the shrimp was a nice size and not overcooked ?, the broccoli was nice and crisp, the corn was amazing, the potatoes was just right and the overall seasoning was perfect ??. And the customer service was excellent. Will definitely recommend this restaurant as one of the best seafood spots in Philly. Hat's off to the cook, owner, and staff.“

“My cousin referred me to this restaurant and I see why!!! The food was amazing. Real down home soul food. I ordered the sticky wings, cabbage and mac & cheese and my sister ordered baked salmon, cabbage, rice and mac and cheese. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere gives you the old school vibes with the dim lighting, cozy eat-in area and pictures of the people and community they serve; each picture tells a story. Definitely going back. “This brisket is packed with so much flavor and melts in your mouth. The Mac n cheese is amazing. And these collard green are vegetarian made with zero pork and the best damn collard greens I've ever had. Also the corn bread is perfection! Rich's beef ribs had the most delicious BBQ sauce that was sweet, smoky and had a little spicy kick. He also had great coleslaw and vegetarian beans that were so good!“

“I had the chicken steak and the Jon Burger. The chicken was well trimmed and uniformly diced. The pieces were nicely seasoned and seared. The onions and peppers were seasoned and carmelized. The sauce and cheese added more tangy and spicy and sweet. The meat lasted as long as the roll, which was nice and buttery.I had the Jon Burger immediately after, but it deserve to be appreciated on its own. The turkey patty was thick, the chewing was good, and my taste buds sensed new things even after all the flavors of the chicken steak. I’m coming back to try the rest.Kid-friendliness: The pieces of chicken are bite-sized, uniform and very tender. The ground turkey is uniformly moist and well seasoned.“
