“We had a PHENOMENAL time. Our server, Jamie, was so fabulous and made my brother's birthday so memorable. I'm normally extremely picky, but everything we ordered was delicious. THE CRAB CAKE and remoulade was INSANE, as well as the lobster tacos for appetizers. I had the yummy sea bass and butter cake for dessert. I can't WAIT to go back. 20 out of 10!“

“The trout is the best in the area. The servers can be unprofessional and rude. When asked to tie back their hair, the request was refused. A nonsense response of not required was insulting. As an experienced service trainer, the hair in question should have been restraining. Health department requirements override a servers vain attitude.“

“The workers/owners are so nice and the food is INCREDIBLE for the price. Seafood boil in this day and age is so expensive and here I can get 1/b crab legs, a potato, an egg, and cajun fries for close to $25. The hibachi menu is also DELICIOUS. I have ordered for pickup here with my mother twice and both times service was fast and the food was delicious.“

“My brothers and I hosted our dad’s 60th birthday in one of the private rooms upstairs. Maria took care of us and service was incredible all night! We chose the 3 course sit down menu and family style appetizers which were all incredible. I highly recommend coming here for a private event and will be back soon to try the rest of the menu!“

“Been a while since we went to Axton’s, but my wife and I will be celebrating 30 years this week, we thought we’d start with a fine dinner WTH Chef Anton. Early on a Sunday during the summer was far from their busy time, so we had a chance to chat. For starters, we shared an apple mango salad. Shame on me for not reading the menu. The dressing is apple mango. Home made! I was looking for mango in the salad. Apple, craisins, two kinds of cheese…. Perfect for a hot July day. My wife ordered the shrimp marinara over spinach instead of pasta. Delicious and even more impressive was that the shrimp had their tails removed. A great touch. The piece de resistance was my scallop special. Scallops topped with Crabcake coating topped with bacon. Served over a bed of spinach with cherry tomatoes and more. My wife called it spectacular. I thought it was a taste of heaven. Couldn’t figure out one taste in the sauce. Originally thought mango, but there was none in the salad. Had to ask if it was peach? Mango was the winner. The dish was a bigger winner!“

“I was excited to get warm with soup after Pompton Lakes’ Holiday Stroll. I got the Hot Lemongrass Beef Pho. This is hands down the best pho I’ve had since leaving California. Boiling Pho is legit!! The noodles were chewy and not soggy. The beef brisket was so tender. The sliced beef was fresh. The broth was immaculate on a cold night and super flavorful. Nothing beats a good bowl of pho. I can’t wait to include this place in my weeknight dinner rotation! Thank you for the great food, atmosphere, and service!!“

“Seafood Birthday Bash!
Went to this restaurant for my uncles birthday. He doesn’t eat chicken or steak so seafood is his favorite. Caldwell Seafood Market & Cafe was an obvious choice because of the pictures and the fact it was a fresh seafood market just stood out to me. It did not disappoint either! We were a group of 10 people and ordered everything our heart desired and spent $579. We ordered 3 orders of fried calamari which was nice and crispy and they even had a ginger sauce which is different. We tried the hot and spicy shrimp which had a great sauce to dip the complementary bread in. We ordered 5 bowls of New England clam chowder. I felt it was watery and not as seasoned as I am used to but we enjoyed it anyway. They forgot a bowl of soup but we won’t hold it against them. We all ordered entrees and most of us got a dessert! We left full and satisfied!
Knowing my family we love to eat and we are all reviewers at heart and are not afraid to say what we do not like. Everyone loved their food from the appetizers to the dessert and we were surprised at how fast the food came and how fresh it was. The waiter was very attentive as well. We didn’t need a reservation when we came in at 3pm and were the only ones there. Surprising it was not packed for a Saturday afternoon but started to fill up as we left.
Overall this restaurant gets a 5/5 because the experience was great, the waiter was very nice and accommodating, the food was piping hot and everyone was pleased even the kids who aren’t really seafood fans.

“I Sent my friend a Johnny's pizza for his 70th birthday last week. Unbeknownst to me, my friend was in the hospital during that time. I called Johnny's and advised them of this and they very graciously Sent a free pizza, celebrating my friends healthy return home. My old friend just finished the pizza, and shared it was delicious. “Dinner choices were great, I was only sorry to not order the soft shell crabs which were on special that night! What we did chose was cooked to perfection , the stuffed flounder for me and a pasta dish with scallops & shrimp for my hubby, we thoroughly enjoyed them. It was our 1st dining experience here, and will definitely be back; but we were already familiar with the Seafood Market that they have since we've purchased fresh fish during Lent which was totally great!“

The service was impeccable from start to finish; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. “After months of hearing Chengdu 23 advertised on 105.5 WDHA, my wife and I decided to try it this evening. we were not disappointed! From the minute we walked in the door, our experience was 100% positive. The service was fast, courteous, and intuitive. The food was sublime. “My friends and I have been dining at Seasons for quite a while - we stopped going about 6 months ago - food was inconsistent and not that good. We decided to try it again yesterday and we were pleasantly surprises. There were 4 of us and we all loved what we ordered. The salmon and crab cake were delicious and so were the salads. The steak tenderloin was tender and tasty as well! The service was excellent. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer. The ine disappointment was the cappuccinos we ordered. They werent hot and even though waitress redid them they still came out lukewarm at best. Looking forward to returning.“

Corn was mushy, shrimp was , potatoes were a little hard, eggs were missing most of the white because I guess they couldn't peel it and one egg was not hard boiled . Whiting fish sandwich was not that good. My daughter liked the lobster roll though. Very hot in the restaurant, with flies.“

“Matthew 's Restaurant is 1 of the best restaurants in North NJ if NOT The Best. The food is always Delicious & Service is excellent. Beyond that, the atmosphere or aviance is excellent. The vibe & energy is first rate positive fun & culinary enjoyment. I believe that this fine dining experience is also driven by the owner Matthew who is usually in the restaurant greeting guests & helping out. When you visit Matthew's you'll have a great time and it'll feel like you're on mini-vacation from the stress of every day life while seemingly enjoying the warmth of family. It may be a cliche but it's definitely true. 10 stars ⭐ out of 10.“
