“Yesterday was my first time in Newark, and I promise you without any exaggeration this place had the best pizza I ever had in my life. I ordered a Pepperoni slice (it was giant) with a side of fries. when you eat both the pizza and the fries together its 15/10 you got to try this spot.“

“Ate here before a Red Bulls game on a Saturday evening due to a friend’s enthusiastic recommendation. I saw a previous review recommended making a reservation, which I thankfully did since all the sit down tables were reserved and a few people were turned away. Food was great, neighborhood Italian style, and service was friendly and efficient. Mozzarella sticks, linguine with clam sauce, veal marsala were highlights. Get the parking pass when you pay your bill and the walk to the stadium is about 10 min. Will definitely return to try the Sicilian pizza next time.“

“Let me start off with saying the pizza at this restaurant was phenomenal… real Italian pizza we order a 28”inch and omggggg the slices were huge like New York pizza my kids really enjoyed that not to mention the customer service was amazing I didn’t ask the young lady’s name but I asked her questions about the establishment and she answered with confidence and pride that my family would enjoy this pizza… my husband started we have finally found a new real pizzeria and this is our new place.. we thank you very kindly for your service ?“

“Nice pizza. Pepperoni quite a lot of fat. Preparation took very long for a few pizza's (around 45 minutes). The place itself lacks all atmosphere. I don't understand the thousands of reviews and the high score. It is ok to get a pizza here but definitely not great.“

“Amazing experience, my family loves this pizzeria. We usually order delivery or get a slice if we are nearby, today we decided to dine in. Don was our server and he’s always excellent. I ordered a shrimp parm sandwich it was great. Me and my wife were wowed by the soy ginger calamari we definitely recommend it And my wife got a lasagna everything tasted fresh and flavorful. “Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“I’ve been looking for a Neapolitan pizza place for a bit and I just happened to see one in my own neighborhood! The pizza was incredible. The dough was perfect and the toppings complemented eachother really well. Staff was so warm and welcoming. It’s a cute little spot and feels cozy and comfortable inside. Will be coming back! “I had a birthday party for my daughter here. In all we were about 20 guests. Kim and husband created a special menu for the occasion. It was absolutely amazing! Everyone raved about how delicious everything was. We had cold antipasto, rice balls, eggplant rollatini, calamari, chicken wings and pizza. There was so much food! I highly recommend Ungaro for any occasion or just dinner which is how I came about going there in the first place. Thank you again for a wonderful, memorable occasion!“

“We had a very long drive from New Hampshire and when we arrived at our hotties and hungry the lady at reception offered us this place as they deliver.\nWe ordered and while we were settling into our room 45 minutes later we were called and they were in the lobby 👍\nEverything was great even the lasagna (which I make myself and am very critical of anywhere else) which was fantastic!!\nThe Philly cheese steak hero was authentic and the pizzas were out of this world and all delivered for a great price !!“

I was sad to see the confetti cake go, but they suggested the cinnamon one — guess I've got my next visit planned! I ordered the garlic knot. It's the hugest l've ever seen. “I had such a great experience here. I haven’t been in years since moving, but we decided to stop in after visiting family, and I’m so glad we did. John was our server, and he was awesome—super friendly and very personable. He checked on us just enough without hovering and gave us great recommendations.
I really missed coming here. It felt so nice to just sit, relax, and not feel rushed while enjoying our food. The clam pie was amazing, and the buffalo calamari was just as good. Parking is still terrible (it took us over 20 minutes to find a spot), but honestly, it was worth the hassle and wait for a table. Overall, great food and great service. If you go, definitely ask for John!“

Classic pizza spot; always fresh. Pep, plain cheese, doesn't matter, I've yet to have a bad slice. Flavorful, perfect texture - chewy with that perfect initial crunch. Only thing I'd add to the menu? Pinwheels, maybe. Sometimes I have to walk on the other side of the street to avoid being tempted to grab a slice.

Staff is friendly, great to chat with, & we often run into them on our morning walks. Prices are great. Great spot to stop in, especially on a nice day when they pop the windows out.“

“If you are looking for GOOD NY style pizza, you need to try Nonno's. There are many pizzerias in the Clifton / Nutley area, but in my opinion the pizza here is one of the best I have had. Sauce is favourable. Cheese is good quality unlike some places where they fall off the moment you pick up the slice. Service is super friendly and accommodating. “Such a lovely experience overall! Came here to catch up with my cousin who lives in Hoboken and wanted to try somewhere neither of us have been before. It’s so quaint and beautiful inside loved all the decor. The staff is so friendly and a good balance of accommodating but letting you just enjoy being at dinner together without the feel of being rushed out. The cocktails were amazingggg, I found myself chugging without even realizing because I just enjoyed it so much. The food was amazing and filling as well. We got the steak and chicken for dinner and the tuna for appetizer. Would definitely come here again, such a vibe. A lot of the people around us were speaking other languages than English too which I loved, felt like a real melting pot!

“My husband and I was craving some good authentic pizza and let me just say this place DID NOT disappoint. The owner and everyone that worked there was super nice which made me love it even more. I wanted my husband who’s from Baltimore to try zeppole, he’s never heard of it and for me, growing up in Bk and Staten Island it was one of my childhood favs. They didn’t have any made when I asked about it which was fine but while I was in conversation with their delivery driver the owner came out with some. “Fantastic spot. We live in a nearby neighborhood and have been many times. Located on a quiet corner near the pier with a lovely sunset view of the statute of liberty, it feels like a peaceful escape from the city.

The food is generally very good. The ricotta beet salad is a must have - so fresh. Our only caveat is that the pizza can be a bit soggy, so we'd suggest foregoing toppings and just getting the plain tomato mozzarella (which is very good).“

“My daughter and I came here on our way back home from American dream and we are so glad we did. The alfredo pasta with chicken was superb! Much better than I’ve had at other spots for 50% higher prices.

We also got the pizza with the three different sauces (marinara, pesto, and something else) and the pasta filled me up so we got it to go and had it the next day. I don’t know if the pizza tastes better when reheated the next day, or if it normally tastes like that, but the pizza was excellent. Not too thick, not too thin, just right!
