“In Hoboken & Hungry ! We decided to google food and found this place ! It was 3:00pm on a Sunday . Usually Chinese restaurants offer lunch special M-F but not here !! They offer lunch special everyday until 3:30!! My bf ordered the shrimp with broccoli & white rice with a Coke, it came with 4 shrimp but it was the lunch special so you can’t really complain . I had the sesame chicken with white rice & a sprite . It was easy to order online which I prefer now a days. We spent $20 and some change but we were full and happy ! We would def check them out when we are in Hoboken & Hungry !!!“

“Great food at good prices, especially for Hoboken. Orders are always ready very quickly. The owners are friendly people. The location is not great, and sometimes this may cause some awkward encounters in and around the restaurant. But not really an issue for pickup.“

“A tiny little restaurant that you will hear from word of mouth. That’s how we heard of this place. Our friends told us how amazing this place is. We went after a few drinks in Hoboken and I was just so taken aback by the quality, taste, presentation and the authenticity . It may seem simple but authenticity is somewhat something that is being lost. Absolutely loved this restaurant!!! Will be coming back. And I cannot go to any other restaurant and expect the same. This place just raised the bar.“

“If you have no experience in healthy Chinese food, this might not be right place for you. I’m am Canadian living in Toronto home to 100s and 100s of high end Cantonese restaurants. We don’t have the low end Chinese greasy, excessive salty, food I’ve seen so many times during my business trips to the USA. San Francisco excluded. \nI was so excited to eat Chinese food in the famous NYC Chinatown. I soon regretted it as about 15 mins of leaving the restaurant, I got really dizzy and ended up on the back room floor in some kind of business. Slept for two hours. Why? Excessive MSG and I’m not even allergic to it. \nI discovered Lo Fatt Chow through a business associate in NYC who drove me at my next visit to this restaurant. What a difference. I honesty felt like I was eating the same quality food as I’m used to back home. \nI love my American cousins but, please forgive me, unless I’m missing something, you guys are being mislead what Chinese food should taste like. Lo Fatt Chow is a different story. This is not your typical chicken wing egg roll place. They use limited sodium, don’t use fat batter,(they wouldn’t tell me what they use but said it was a natural ingredient) use real chicken bones with its natural MSG, and they even offer gluten free soy sauce, as well as a sugar free diabetic sauce that I can’t even get here in Toronto. \nI believe but not sure, their menu seems to be the healthier HK Cantonese cuisine rather than Mainland China. Cheers to our best friends, the USA ❤️“

“I"ve been to Singapore many times. In America it is really hard to find food that tastes like the food you get in Singapore. Im not saying everything on the menu is aithenticly Asian but the Singapore noodles taste like the dish you'd get at any food court or market in my favorite benevolent dictatorship. Also the sushi is good and the people are really nice.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetable plates of all kinds“

“Food was good. It reminded me of my trip to Hong Kong in the 2010's.
You'll need patience for the food since it's just a few people. But the food is worth the wait. I waited outside and the cashier just waved me in when my order was ready. 🙂“

“Yingtao offers an elevated dining experience, honoring the owner’s grandmother with both its name and the thoughtful approach to each dish. The restaurant’s sleek, modern interior and open kitchen immediately impress upon entry. The tasting menu is a carefully curated array of dishes with refined flavors, with the duck, toast, foie gras, and nian gao standing out as memorable highlights. The flavors here are subtly layered and delicate, showcasing a restrained elegance that even extends to the desserts, which are perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Service at Yingtao is exceptional, among the best I’ve encountered. The front-of-house team is attentive and professional, and a special mention goes to Ria, whose deep knowledge of the menu enriched my experience by offering thoughtful insights and explanations. Yingtao is a beautiful homage to family and fine dining—a truly refined experience that’s well worth a visit.“

“Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“

“Dongpo pork is a must try, it is melt in your mouth! Live music, lively atmosphere and good service. My favorited though was the cucumber salad, so simple yet so refreshing and savory at the same time. Definitely recommend, high quality Asian food.“

“I had an amazing experience at Chi! As someone who frequently travels to China for business, I can confidently say the food here is incredibly authentic, delicious, and of high quality. Every dish was a delight, bursting with flavor and prepared with care. The service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and remarkably quick. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a true taste of China! Will definitely be back on my next trip!“

“No frills steamed bun & dumpling place, apparently a huge wholesale provider for stores in the area! <$10 to feed two people. In the basement of the mall (East Broadway Mall, under the highway), kinda hard to find, but it’s a vibe when you get there!
The ladies work are so nice. Service is super fast. Cash only.
The buns had a taste that lingered in my mouth all day, but they were good at first bite. I preferred the dumplings (order #2).“

“Truly so good it hurts. I got the Little Pot Rice Noodle and I cried gladly the whole time I ate it. My (even less spice-tolerant) friend went crazy and ordered Schuan Style Spicy Chicken w. Peanut and she loved it. I got her some rice and sweet tea to save her between bites. The cucumber salad is also on the sweet side and a wonderful palate rescue between bites. “I just can’t stop going back for more!” High praise indeed. We’ll be back soon!“

“It is not often enough that great atmosphere and ambience pair together with great food, but this place has done just that.
Since their renovations last year the quality of everything from the plates to the whole interior design has improved. Not only that but the food is one of the best in the neighborhood.“

“The restaurant truly exceeded all expectations and left a lasting impression. The atmosphere was both cozy and sophisticated, making it an ideal setting for any occasion, whether casual or special. The staff were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless and enjoyable. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece—beautifully plated, seasoned to perfection, and packed with rich, authentic flavors that showed off the chef’s expertise. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the menu offered a perfect balance of classic dishes and creative innovations. Even the smallest details, from the perfectly chilled drinks to the warm bread served at the start, were carefully thought out. The dessert menu was equally impressive, with indulgent options that were the perfect ending to a flawless meal. Overall, this restaurant is a gem, and I can’t wait to return!

“The noodles are amazing, and every dish is customizable. I love the scallion ginger, but I've had other flavors too. I ALWAYS get the seitan, it is so good! I think they make the seitan in house, there's something unique about the texture.“

“This is not ordinary Chinese-restaurant food; the dishes are sophisticated and delicious. Great combinations, spices, vegetables. Okra crunchy outside, soft inside. Eggplant hot and peppery, cold chicken chopped with bones in. Never had Szechuan like this. We try to go as often as we can.“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“The broth is clear and has a simple yet delicate flavor. The fresh ingredients are used, and the savoriness is like a Zen experience. The beef tripe is cooked in a way that preserves its true flavor, unlike the spice-rich ones you usually find at a dim sum place, which is very pleasant.“

“I came here for a friend's birthday dinner and we had an amazing time. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and I love the cozy but very Chinese decor. Our waitress was so nice, easy to talk to, and fun. The service was really quick.
We ordered hot and sour soup, peking pork, string beans, honey walnut shrimp, beef chow fun, short ribs, beef stew and radish casserole, and salted fish and eggplant casserole. Everything was delicious. My favorites were their peking pork, string bean, and casserole dishes. The honey walnut shrimp was good but the portions were okay for a group of 9. The beef chow fun was a great portion but I wish there was more flavor. Loved the short rib. They gave us complimentary watermelon at the end, as well as birthday flan for my friends and I. Had a great time and I think this is the perfect spot for some casual Chinese food with a big group of people (We got 10 dishes and the total ended up being only $240, post-tax for a group of 9! We all left STUFFED).“

“These five skewers: arguably the best thing I've eaten in this city for under $15. The highlight are the mushroom / scallops wrapped in bacon, grilled over coals... For $2.50?! Pinch me, I'm dreaming

“Everything we ordered was very good. You don't have to trek down to flushing our Chinatown to have a great Chinese meal. My brother who is very particular with food was also pleased with the taste especially the salt and pepper calamari. We were super early for our reservations but they were kind enough to accommodate us. The place was clean except for the restroom. But that's not going to deter me from giving them a 5 star review. Well done!“

“Loved it — everything was delicious, and the vibe is classic Chinatown energy. A true NYC institution (it first opened in 1938) and often called the second-oldest restaurant in Manhattan’s Chinatown, just behind Nom Wah. There are no frills—just reliable, flavorful dishes that stand the test of time. Definitely one of the best spots for late-night Chinese comfort food. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Din Tai Fung has been a long-time favorite of mine, and I’ve visited their locations across Asia more times than I can count. So, I was really looking forward to the opening of this NYC location. It took some time, but as soon as I walked in, I could see why. This isn’t like the more casual branches I’m used to – they’ve gone all out, creating a stunning space that’s perfect for a special night out. Though it’s a large venue, it feels intimate, and the table arrangement makes conversations easy. Service was excellent; our waiter was excited to introduce us to the restaurant and stayed attentive throughout the meal.
Now, the food! We tried two varieties of their signature xiaolongbao – the traditional pork and the pork and crab. Both were superb and just as good as what you’d find in Asia. The paper-thin wrappers are some of the best I’ve had outside of the Pacific, with great flavor and delicious soup inside. The pork chop fried rice was also outstanding – tender, juicy pork served over perfectly cooked fried rice. We also enjoyed the seaweed and tofu salad, which was a great starter. I did miss the wild vegetable tofu and sesame oil salad I’ve had in Asia, but I imagine it might be due to ingredient availability here. Prices are a bit higher than their Asian branches, but for me, the atmosphere and quality were worth it. I’ll definitely be back.
Note: Unlike other locations, this one is reservation-only.“

“Very nice halal option in NYC. Noodles were great 5/5. The lamb with bread was really nice - 4/5. Overall great food, good staff service. Dumpings were a 3/5. Price was decent given the prime location and the food taste. Best halal food I've had in US so far overall. I'd definitely visit again next time I'm in New York!“

“5 Stars – Mango Mayhem, But Worth Every Drop!
Icy Mellon - Hoboken
If you’re in Hoboken and even thinking about a mango drink, just stop what you’re doing and go to Icy Mellon. These folks don’t just make smoothies—they craft frozen perfection. I got the mango, and I swear it was so rich, fresh, and vibrant it deserved a seatbelt of its own.
Unfortunately, I had to stop short while driving and—well—mango mayhem ensued. All over me. All over the console. But you know what? I couldn’t even be mad. It’s that good. If anything, it was a reminder I should’ve finished the cup before pulling out.
Super flavorful, super refreshing, and absolutely worth the mess. Pro tip: maybe sip this one while parked. You won’t want to waste a single drop.“
