“I really love this restaurant. It has been open here
for over ten years and has always been run by the same owner. I especially enjoy their Chinese dishes and sushi. The style of the place is fantastic, and the atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I always bring my husband and children along, and they love it just as much.“

“Every time I eat here, it takes me back to when I was growing up. They started as a rice roll cart on Grand Street, and they've perfectly preserved that authentic street-cart taste.
The steamed rice rolls with curry fish balls are soft, chewy, and perfectly sauced with hot sauce and extra peanut sauce. Grab an iced Hong Kong milk tea to go with it.
Highly recommend for a true taste of old-school Chinatown!“

“Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“

“Great place to stop by for a bite to eat. Steamed buns are $4 for 8, $3 for 8 steamed dumplings. Can't beat these prices, and they make them all themselves. The food is always great. They have a variety of other soups and noodles as well. Two people can have an entire meal here for $15 easily. This place is usually frequented by the local Chinese residents. If you want a taste of what Chinese people in Chinatown are eating, check this place out.
UPDATE: note that the menu used to be huge, after COVID the menu was reduced significantly and now they tend to only stock their most popular items which are all still amazing“

“Stopped by for dinner while in the NYU area and it feels like the kind of place that just fits the neighborhood.
Very casual setup, nothing fancy. A lot of students coming through, people eating solo or in small groups — pretty easy spot to drop into without thinking too much.
Food is more on the home-style side. Not overly heavy or overly seasoned, which actually makes it easier to come back to. Portions are decent, and prices are reasonable for this part of the city.
It’s not really a “destination” restaurant, but more of a reliable, everyday kind of place. If you’re around NYU, I can see this becoming part of a regular rotation.“

“Insane drinks made by Bonnie (the Jasmine Fall and the Cherry Old Fashioned) the flavors were unlike anything else we’ve ever had. Will be dreaming about the Jasmine Fall. Same with the food - absolutely amazing dumplings. Also - drinks were buy one get one free because it was late night. Bonnie is the best - she was so helpful and kind when it came to helping us narrow down what we wanted!“

“We came here to try the iconic pineapple pork bun! It’s pretty good but my partner definitely enjoyed it more than I did. I wish I was in NYC longer to try out everything else on their menu. Everything looked good and reasonably priced.“

“Lychee ice was delicious and quite sweet, with a few real lychees in it. The braised lobster with scallions was a bit too salty. The osmanthus vermicelli and egg soup actually had a hint of osmanthus fragrance. The quality of their dishes is relatively consistent.“

“This was my first food stop in Chinatown, and hands down, it was the best hole-in-the-wall spot of my trip!
If you’re craving comforting, delicious Asian food, this place absolutely hits the spot. The dumpling prices blew my mind—they’re incredibly affordable, especially coming from the DMV where I usually pay an arm and a leg.
10/10, highly recommend!“

“I’ve been on a malatang phase and this is one of the better ones I’ve had. You build your own bowl and it actually feels like the flavors come through, not everything blending into one spicy mess.
The broth is rich but still balanced. It has depth without feeling greasy, and you can actually taste what you picked instead of it getting lost.
Ingredients feel fresh and there’s a good variety. Nothing looks tired or sitting there all day.
Also their chili oil is really good, which makes a big difference. It brings everything together without overpowering it.
It’s a bit chaotic grabbing everything but that’s part of it. Not a place to sit for long, just build your bowl, eat, and go. But it’s consistently solid and I keep coming back.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Hi grand street skewer cart ! I’m a huge fan of your food. I’m a web designer and I actually put together a draft website concept for your shop to show how you can showcase your menu and take catering orders more easily.
I’d love to send you a quick video tour of what I built, or we can jump on a brief meeting if you’re interested! If you like the design, you can officially purchase it for your business. No pressure at all—just wanted to show you what’s possible!“

“Wow, this was SUCH a great spot. This NYC chain is legendary for a reason.
Beware, if you don’t like spicy food, this isn’t for you. Even on the “less spice” option, we were definitely feeling the heat. The noodles in the Cumin Lamb Noodles were the star of the show - so tender and full of flavor.
The interior is simple and a little small, so I imagine during a lunch rush it could get crowded, but we were there at an off time so there was plenty of room.“

“Great prices for delicious food. I see why Guy Fieri has come here three times. The noodles are perfectly imperfect and the flavors are spot on. The only questionable thing about the place is that the duck is served bone-in which brought down my wife's enjoyment of her dish“

“The food was incredible. I had a pork hamburger with exceptionally tender and juicy meat. I also tried the zha jiang pork noodles (炸酱面), which were delicious as well. The noodles were incredibly chewy and flavorful, served on paper plates. If you’re a spice lover, I highly recommend the regular spicy option. It doesn’t have a harsh burn, but rather a pleasant and comforting sensation. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Also they crack a bunch of jokes here and very Gen Z friendly for those who don’t speak Chinese“

“Just finished eating here and this place is amazing. We ordered the Sesame Chicken and Young Chow Fried Rice. The Sesame Chicken was delicious as it wasn’t too sweet, but instead hits right on the spot. The Fried Rice tasted really good. The waiters were pretty nice and it wasn’t crowded when we came so we only had to wait like 10 minutes for the food. The atmosphere is very decorated and clean which adds to the authentic Chinese restaurant look. Overall, I recommend this place and if you’re in the area, try it out!“

“When a restaurant gets a bib gourmand from the Michelin guide yet averages only 4.3 stars on Google, you know you're in for a good time - and this did not disappoint.
The ambiance is great. The egg rolls, wonton soup and eggplant general taos were to die for. The beef and broccoli didn't hit as much as I would have liked but didn't matter we were already in love. The blood orange sorbet is the icing on the cake. Well done, team.“

“For a chain, they are doing it well. They keep adding trendy options. There is a nod to most Asian culture's foods, not just Chinese. The food is executed well and affordably priced. The staff is well trained and hospitable. The decor is modern, clean, and comfortable. Appreciate that they offer brown rice.“

“I went to a lot of restaurants in New York that were much fancier than this cart but this was my favorite food of the day. The cheong fun was gooey and had qq and a decent amount of meat. For $5 for the large, it was such a deal and fed three of us as a snack. I would go back in a heartbeat and order more. Wish we had this in Chinatown in Houston.“

“This is a solid, dependable bowl of beef noodles that hits the spot if you are looking for a comforting, no-fuss meal.
The broth is the highlight here—it’s savory and warm, with a nice hint of warming spices that gives it some depth without overwhelming your palate. The beef is cooked well enough to be tender, and they give you a decent portion of it distributed throughout the bowl. As for the noodles, they have a pleasant chew to them, though they could have been just a touch firmer.
It might not be the most mind-blowing or intensely flavorful bowl of noodles you'll ever have, but it’s hearty, satisfying, and exactly the kind of comfort food you want on a casual weeknight. I’d happily order it again when I'm in the mood for something simple and reliable.“

“Absolutely incredible dumplings! Without a doubt some of the best I have ever tasted. Every bite was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. The fillings were delicious, the dough had the perfect texture, and everything tasted fresh and authentic.
What makes it even better is the value for money – the portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality is outstanding. This is the kind of place you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. I will definitely be coming back whenever I have the chance!“

“After working extremely hard all day, all I wanted was a good vegan meal.
My original plan was to visit Spicy Moon on 8th Avenue, but due to technical difficulties and staffing on their end, I ended up heading over to the West 3rd Street location instead. No complaints from me. I'm not about problems, I'm about solutions, and Spicy Moon West 3rd became the solution.
As soon as I called to make sure they were open, I spoke with the one and only Khalil, who was the real deal. Professional, welcoming, and helpful from the very beginning.
When I arrived, Khalil welcomed me in, and Ole was there as well. I sat down, ordered my meal, and enjoyed every bite. The chili noodles and ramen reminded me of my time in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I wish it came with Chiang Mai prices, but we're in New York City, and that's another story.
What mattered most was the experience. From beginning to middle to end, I was a satisfied customer.
This wasn't my first positive experience with the team. I remember my first encounter with Ole and Jorge, and once again the customer service, hospitality, and food did not disappoint.
The ramen was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was on point.
Shout out to Ole, Khalil, and Jorge for making sure a long day ended on a high note.
A satisfied customer.“

“So I’ve lived in Belleville for 7 years and have given up hope on finding good Chinese food so I was hesitant but I have finally found my place. The rice didn’t need any sauce on it, it had flavor without it and the boneless ribs were so good.
Egg roll could have been better, it was a little oily but other than that I was highly satisfied. Definitely going back.“
